Relaxing Cottage among the trees with Private Hot Tub

This property is a 2-story accommodation. The staircase is steep and narrow.

A Country Place - The Chicken Coop is the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend away from it all. The main floor has a comfortable Living/Dining room area with TV and internet. Just outside the back door you will find a relaxing deck surrounded by trees, creating a great private space to relax outside. Relaxing in the hot tub on the back deck is a must. If you're lucky enough, you just might get to see the deer come too much on the corn that is left for you to feed the deer. Upstairs is the bedroom and bath. The comfortable king-sized bed is great and will allow you to have a relaxing night's sleep. Come to A Country Place and go home relaxed and rejuvenated.

Substance and Potential

The place was very nice. We enjoyed Wimberley... such a popular place now! Updated kitchen appliances were handy. Host was responsive and clarified some confusion on written instructions as well as handled a couple requests exactly when promised. AC kept up just fine and hot tub was great. A few quirks: the stairwell is very narrow and I ended up carrying the dog downstairs since she is a clumsy poodle haha. This place would benefit from some updates such as new bedroom decking and rails. Newer TV would be beneficial. Overall, the place is very close to a true five star, but a few small things keep it from the threshold.

Perfect piece of heaven!

Weekend get away with my husband was exactly what we needed. The house is so cute and cozy and had everything that we needed. Perfect recharging weekend! Hope to be back soon!

The chicken co-op excellent getaway

Relaxing getaway. Close enough to town to enjoy Wimberley but far enough to enjoy a quiet country feeling. Stairs are extremely steep so if you’re over 6’2 be cautious. Bed was very comfortable. The chicken coop was more than we expected. Extremely clean.

24yr Wedding Anniversary Trip

It was close to town but also secluded. Other cabins/cottages were far enough away to where we still felt like we had privacy. Nice hot tub and grill in the back. We enjoyed a night in the hot tub and another day grilling. Other reviews mentioned the stairs to the bedroom. Narrow and steep, only an issue if you are older or have disabilities. The balcony upstairs was nice also. The sliding glass door didnt lock, but we were not worried. We truly enjoyed out stay!

Great Honeymoon Cabin

Was extremely cute and comfortable! The hot tub is a very nice touch. Has everything you need for a nice weekend getaway. Very private and quiet. Highly recommended and we will be returning.

Perfect cabin retreat for our anniversary

We had the best time at this cozy cabin for our 6th anniversary. Grilled some steaks, enjoyed the hot tub and the cozy cabin was just perfect. We didn’t want to leave and most definitely will be coming back.

The Chicken Coop

A charming little cabin in the woods. Perfect place to getaway and recharge. Hot tub was amazing and very romantic by the fire. Make sure to bring your own firewood or stop by the local HEB. Will definitely be staying here again!

Great Weekend Getaway

This is our second time at the property with both stays being outstanding. We love that the cabins are close to town, but still far enough in the country that you are away from it all. The cabin has everything ypu need and the hot tub is excellent. This cabin is close to pne of the others but you are well screened in the back porch and have your privacy. Will definitely keep this at the top of our list for the Wimberley area.

Great Escape

What a great little place to be far enough way from thr city for star gazing, close enough to run into town for some last minute things. The bed was comfortable! I will def be back.

darling property - however the stairs were very tight and steep with the only one bath upstairs...would not be good for an elderly or larger person at all.

Quiet, secluded, comfortable

What a great place to spend a couple of nights for a getaway, whether romantic or not. The only caution about this property is the very steep, narrow and short-tread stairs up to the bedroom. Not for anyone who has any mobility issues at all.

Overall was a great experience. Quite and cozy. Complete with all the necessities of home. If I had to complain the wasps were bad but looked like owner was trying to take care of the issue. But hey it's the country! And if you stay there is no huge cat or big bird it's just pea hens(peacocks) calling each other. Lol took us two days to figure it out..

Weekend Escape

This is a great little house away from everything. There are other properties around, but you still have privacy. Enjoyed the hot tub and outside space. The only issue is the stairs......quite narrow and small steps.

Romantic Getaway

All in all, we enjoyed our stay. If you have trouble with stairs would not recommend, but for us it was fine. We only have 2 complaints: 1. Raid cans left on the patio was not the first thing one wants to see on arrival. 2. Blow off pollen and clean the back patio. We spent 30 minutes cleaning the patio so we could actually use the hot tub.

The place was nice. The only thing that wasn’t that great was the tiny stairs up to the bedroom and the cleanliness of the backyard. We couldn’t enjoy the hot tub due to all the bugs and pollen on top of the hot tub.

Cute little getaway

My boyfriend and I rented this property based on the reviews and how cute the pictures were. It was exactly how we thought it would be. Cute, small little place for 2 people. 3 would be a crowd. The area was nice and quiet. The stairs are very steep and small. The one thing we did not like was the bed. Upon seeing it for the first time, it looked like there was a small dent in the middle. Once we got into bed, you can definitely feel the dent. We would automatically get pulled to the middle of the bed. Almost felt like the bed was going to cave in. That bed definitely has seen better days. The sheets are super soft and comfy but the bed just pulls you to the middle. I would recommend a new bed and this place would be 5 stars!
