This newly renovated, elegant, enchanting, and historical bright yellow Victorian home was built in the 1850s. Speaking of ocean views….enjoy the benefits of having an ocean view right in your front yard! Located on Ocean Avenue you can see the entire ocean from this lovely home, which has 7 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and comfortably sleeps 14 people. There is one parking space available on the street, a gas grill on the back patio, and an outdoor shower for your convenience.

As you enter the home, you will be amazed at the beauty of the fireplace. On the first floor, enjoy an ocean view room with a fireplace. There is also one large bedroom with one queen bed and one twin bed. On the second floor, enjoy a beautiful and cozy ocean view room with a telescope. There are also five bedrooms with a queen bed in each; and one bedroom with two twin beds. There are four full bathrooms located throughout the home for your convenience.

This beautiful home has all new appointments such as: a new kitchen, new granite counter tops, new showers, new mattresses for all beds, all new furniture with an entirely furnished home, new air conditioners, and the home is freshly painted.

Indulge in a wonderful meal with your family in the formal blue and white dining room, which the owners lovingly refer to as “The Great Wall of China!” Relax and enjoy the spacious family room, living room, and formal dining room which all comfortably seat 14 people.

Conveniently located steps away from the ferry, this home is only 100 feet away from the beach. As the home is located in town, you are close to quaint downtown shopping, night life, restaurants, churches, parks, hiking and bike paths and trails, deep sea fishing, car, bike and motor cycle rentals. Enjoy a tour around the island by way of public transportation (the bus stop), or taxi.

From your front porch, look at the beautiful ocean view, which includes a park and gazebo where you will see people getting married and feel their job of beginning their lives as one. Listen to various genres of music in the park performed by local and national bands. Watch fireworks from the lower and upper decks of the home.

Birthday Celebration

There were 10 family and friends that came together to celebrate my birthday. Over 1/2 of them had never been to Martha's Vineyard. Oakbluffs was the perfect place to introduce them to MV. We knew we wanted to explore a couple of towns and be able to cook great meals together. This property was the BEST stocked kitchen I have ever stayed in. It was such a delight to cook in and then the dining room was such a perfect comfortable place of all 10 of us to eat together. We were a short walk to the market and Back Door Donuts!!! And it was a short drive to Edgartown where we spent a good part of one day. The property was a great home base for us. We can't wait to go back.

What a great rental. The location was perfect. The house is beautiful and more spacious than the pictures show. Plenty of room for everyone to stay comfortably. A great front yard and backyard area. The block is safe for kids to run around back and forth without worrying about cars. The neighbors are friendly and welcoming. It is close to everything. Owner and property manager were both very attentive and helpful. We were lucky that this property was available when we booked. If you see that it is available, don't hesitate! Book it immediately!!

Beautiful Property!

The home is well-maintained, with a darling garden out front and beautiful interior decorations. It is well equipped with kitchen, beach, and cleaning items. I especially have to mention the incredibly comfortable mattresses in each room. The home design is fluid and each room has its own private space unconnected. This gave our whole family space - with two great living room area options for gatherings. The home owner Jolanta is kind, quickly responsive, and a pleasure to work with. We had an amazing stay! Big thank you from the Quilter family.

Best Location

The location cannot be beat. Ocean view, park out front, nice sidewalk with good people watching from the farmers porch. The house has a ton of character and the kids loved exploring it. Has everything you need and is comfortable. We had a blast! The only complaint is that for the amount we paid, linens should be there. We rented them, which worked fine and was pretty cheap. However, it stinks to go on vacation and have putting sheets on all the beds be the first thing you do when you get there. For 2k/night, the owners can certainly afford linen service for guests so we don't have to make our own beds when we get there.

Perfect location; charming house

This was the perfect location for any group visiting the Vineyard. Steps away from the Oak Bluffs Ferry -- roll your suitcase half block down the street, ocean views from huge wrap-around front porch, beach less than half mile, restaurants and shops less than half mile around the corner, island bus stop across the street. House is spacious but cozy and immaculately clean. Kitchen was spacious and stocked with dishes, cookware, and had large fridge. There were seven of us, and we each had our own bed and bedroom, and there were two extra beds. Only caveat I would say is that two upstairs bedrooms, and one of the bathrooms, may be challenging for taller people, i.e., someone 5' 10" and above, as house was built in 19th century and ceilings in those two upstairs rooms and bathroom are low by modern standards. But we were only in bedrooms upstairs to sleep, and downstairs was spacious, so it worked out for us. Jolanta, our host, was wonderful! We would definitely return here!

Wonderful stay

The house was everything we hoped it would be - we had 2 sets of grandparents, 4 adult children, and a 1 year old and 2 year old. Plenty of space to spread out - never felt crowded. Jolanta was super responsive to any questions I had before we went. The house could not be in a better location - walk to everything, and just sitting on the porch drinking morning coffee or afternoon cocktails made you wonder why you would even leave the house! We would definitely recommend it, and hope to return!

Best location & best vacation!

We had the BEST vacation staying at this beautiful home in Oak Bluffs.. Lots of room for families, clean , and the location couldn’t be better! Shops, ice cream , market, restaurants, park, beach , ferry only steps away! The owner was very responsive and kind. The porch was amazing to wake up to enjoy your morning coffee and perfect to end the day with a late night cocktail. . We can’t wait to book again for next year.

Charming and well-equipped

First visit to the Vineyard. Had a wonderful stay with three generations. Grandparents stayed in the rooms with the en suite bathrooms and the rest of us shared. The house has been lovingly maintained and the kitchen was well-equipped for sharing meals. Fun location on the park and walking distance to everything. Jolanta is welcoming and responsive. Highly recommend!

This house was honestly worth every penny!

I will try to keep this short and sweet, but that may be hard with this listing because it was so good! I will also highlight the positives (there were many!) and the not so positives (there weren't that many). To begin: the pictures on here do the house NO JUSTICE. This house is beautiful!!! It's an old Victorian home, in really good shape, and beautifully decorated. The house is spacious, well lit, very clean and was perfect for our large group (10 adults -ranging from 78 years young, and 4 children-as young as 4 years old). The house is centrally located, I mean close to EVERYTHING! The supermarket is in the backyard (literally you can access it by walking out form the backyard and crossing the street), BackDoor donuts is right around the corner, shops, the Gingerbread houses and the beach are all very close as well. It has an amazing view, which we enjoyed while we sat on the beautiful rocking chairs on the porch (when we were in the house, we spent most of our time there). The kitchen is a bit small for the house, but it is stocked with everything you need (pots, pans, cooking oil) and the AMAZING dining room makes up for this. We had one big family dinner and it was extra special because of the spectacular dining room. Jolanta was easy to reach, and answered all of my questions. The only two 'not so positives' that I feel the need to mention is that this house does not come with any basic linens...you have to rent them. I didn't know this until after we booked the house, and it was a not so pleasant surprise. After some research I found out that this policy seems to be standard when renting large houses across New England. Yet ordering the linens was pretty seamless, and the company we went with was very helpful. The 2nd 'not so positive' factor was the weak WiFi throughout the house. We were not sure if it was the actual WiFi that was weak, or that there were too many devices on at once, but overall we did not have a strong signal in the house. I know that on vacation folks are ideally supposed to disconnect, but we had two friends who had major deadlines for work and needed the Wifi and it proved to be a bit more challenging that we would've liked. Despite these minor things, the house gets 5stars overall. We would love to come back and stay there again! It is worth it.

What a pleasure it was to stay in this home.

From the minute you step off the ferry into Oak Bluffs you instantly smell the fresh salty air and all the gardens that line the gingerbread streets. This home was a wonderful two minute walk filled with sights of families and friends enjoying all that Martha's Vineyard has to offer. Once we arrived we noticed all the rocking chairs in a row and knew we get plenty of use from them. The home which was very deceiving from the outside was surprisingly open and bright. There was plenty of room for a large group of eleven. We never felt on top of each other. Plenty of bathrooms on each floor. The kitchen was well equipped for our large party as well as the seating at the long dining table. I would say our favorite place in the home was the porch. We spent most of our time rocking on the porch watching life go by. Hats off to the owners, not only do they have a little slice of heaven Jolanta was such a pleasure to work with. Always responsive with any questions we had. If I had to say one negative thing it would be for the linen rental company (nothing to do with Jolanta) the towels were worn and scratchy and the linens...some had tears in them. When i tried to reach out to the linen company in regards to this no one answers the phone and it is only a recording. But that was it...A truly memorable vacations. Thanks again Jolanta

Labor Day in OB

My extended family and I absolutely loved this place- adorable but spacious, plenty of room for all. Great location- walking distance to ferry, downtown and beach. We even enjoyed a concert on the green from the front porch! Highly recommend!

Love house and location!

Great experience. Spent Mother's Day weekend with my 87 yo mother, sisters and female cousins. Close enough to town that my mother could walk to dinner one night. Lots of space for together and alone time. (9 people) My mother couldn't stop talking about the old fashion craftsmanship of the cottage. Quaint, and very Martha's Vineyard.

June 2016 - Family Gathering

Be careful of fraudulent offers on the internet. After almost sending a "hacker" $5,000 we came upon this property via VRBO. We were extremely cautious for fear of scams but the owner of this property was very credible and we felt comfortable with the transactions early on. Our stay at this property was great! We visited during the second week of June. The location receives a 5 out of 5 stars. You can't get a better location. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING is within walking distance (beach, restaurants, grocery store, shops, post office, DONUTS). We rented bikes for the heck of it in order to venture out, but honestly you don't need a bike or car. Circuit Ave is literally at your backdoor. We visited with a large group, including four teenage boys. The city is safe enough to allow them to roam unsupervised. The house itself was great, again 5 out of 5. I can't think of a single negative thing to say except that the dryer was broken...but....after I contacted the owner, she had a brand new one delivered the next day!!!! My in-laws who are in their 70's went along with us as well and they simply enjoyed sitting on the front porch, rocking and people watching. Everything was clean and tidy and the décor was darling. Everything has been well-kept. The kitchen is stocked so that all you have to bring is food. And be sure to bring your own towels and bed linens (fitted and flat sheets and pillow cases). There is also a cottage in the back that sleeps an additional 4-5 people and it is just as darling with its own kitchen. There is a patio/courtyard area in the back along with grills. The neighborhood seemed very safe, we had no concerns. The owner was professional, friendly, and eager to please. We will definitely be visiting again!!!!
