STUNNING RETREAT, only 15 min to GSP! Family Fun, Great View!

The Lakehouse is a hidden gem tucked in the back of a middle-class subdivision in Greer, SC. Construction of this beautiful custom home was completed in the fall of 2017. Located directly on 130 acre Lake Apalache, the Lakehouse offers serenity, beauty and comfort just 5 minutes from Greer, 15 minutes from GSP and 25 minutes from downtown Greenville. Our vision was to create a place where people can kick back and enjoy nature, friends and family without traveling far from town. Working or playing is better at the Lakehouse. This well equipped home features a Finnish steam sauna. The kitchen has three ovens (1 gas and 2 electric), an extra large island and a wonderful selection of dishes and utensils.

During the spring, summer and early fall, the Greer speedway runs on Thursday evenings and Saturdays all day. The sound of the speedway is heard throughout the area. It is moderately loud at the Lakehouse during this time. If the noise might bother you, please plan your time accordingly to be away at those times. For example, go out to eat on Thursday night, and take in wonderful downtown Greenville on Saturday. It is our goal for everyone to have an exceptional stay at the Lakehouse. Wonderful experience
We visited Greer SC for a family wedding. I choose the Lake House, because of all it has to offer. We enjoyed the lake, the items provided, the beauty of the home, and the surroundings, and especially the glorious deck which was thankfully covered, as it rained for a number of days. We all sat around the fire pit, and watched it rain, and enjoyed conversations, and made memories. Also, it was so kind of Ryan Townsend, for having a game delivered so the smaller children had as much fun as the older of us did! I would love to spend my next trips there for many years!

Family gathering by the lake
Absolutely wonderful! We gathered to celebrate a 50th birthday, an 18th birthday, and an opportunity to spend time with 2 granddaughters on the way to college. The house is unbelievably well-stocked has top of the line appliances and decor. We usually had 1 paddle boarder, 2 in the canoe, and 2 in the pedal boat! Then we watched the Olympics on one of the huge TV's before playing table tennis or cooking s'mores on the porch. We would definitely recommend this lovely home to anyone!

Breathtaking!
The pictures do not do this home and property justice! From the moment we requested to reserve the dates, to post check-out (when I forgot 2 items in the dryer), communication was amazing! We were a group of 12 (9 adults and 3 children ages 9-15) and the space was perfect! The view from the deck and patio below was stunning and so peaceful! The house had everything we could possible need both inside and out! So many amazing, lifelong memories were made at this beautiful, immaculate, peaceful lake house. THANK YOU!

From comfortable beds to a well equipped kitchen this location gave us a memorable weekend. Enough room for everyone and plenty of space inside and out. Water sports, towels, bathrobes and even a thoughtful welcome basket were waiting for us. What a great spot for a visit to the Greenville area

This house has everything, including luxury amenities like blankets for sitting outdoors by the lovely fire feature, cushions galore and fishing poles and tackle. Amazing. Really enjoyed the open kitchen and Great Room, especially that televisions were located elsewhere to facilitate conversations and connecting. Not sure why there were many surveillance cameras outside, some might find those unnerving. On the whole we greatly appreciated the extraordinary level of attention to detail these accommodations provided. Thanks for a perfect family visit. Caroline and Jay

The need for speed
What a wonderful house. My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Greer. The house is impeccable. All of the needs are addressed. The kitchen is fabulous. As wonderful as the pictures, and then some.
This home is beautifully, comfortably appointed and ideally situated on a quiet, private lake teeming with nature. Staying there was like a giant exhale (Ahhh. . . ). Our group consisted of me and my husband, our 17 yr-old daughter and her cousin, and my parents all celebrating my mom’s 80th birthday and a respite from the chaos of Miami. The house can comfortably support many more guests. It was an exceptional location for laughter, reconnecting, and memory making (including my 84 year-old dad on a stand up paddleboard! The owners provide two for use along with other lake toys.) The kitchen is amply stocked with all the equipment (gadgets, appliances, utensils, glassware, etc.) you need to cook a fabulous meal for a large group. The beds, pillows, and towels are of superior quality and comfort as is all of the generous, plush furniture in the home. The owners seem to have anticipated every detail, including easy instructions for the home. Check in-check out was a breeze and the property manager was attentive and available. Hoping to stay there again.

One blissful week!
Many properties live up to their online listing - but few far exceed them! This was an absolutely perfect setting for our family and the pictures, as lovely as they are, can't even do justice to the warmth and beauty of the house, the stellar views, and the peacefulness and joy of being on the lake with our children. The owners have taken great care in the arrangement and design of the home - no detail - style or convenience - was overlooked. I am a chef so I usually find the kitchens in rentals under stocked and lacking - this was a rare and fabulous exception. There was never a tool or appliance I couldn't find. The bedrooms and bathrooms were are well-appointed and the living spaces were gracious and inviting. The owners and the property manager were kind and helpful. I can't say enough good things - but I will say we will be back! SOON! Thank you for a perfect vacation.

More Than Expected
We wanted to find a house to spend a few days with our grown children from Mississippi, Atlanta & D.C. with enough to do and enough space to not leave because of the virus. This was perfect with great outside areas, canoe, kayak & paddle boards and 2 grills with a fabulous view of the lake. I have never stayed at a VRBO property and my children assured me that these owners went well over and above to provide special amenities. We all agreed, the property is even better than the pictures.

We greatly recommend this house
This was an amazing experience that was only possible because you’ve shared this beautiful house with us. We loved the decoration of the house and we had plenty of fun driving and climbing the Chimney Rock, exploring the Greenville downtown area and our favorite part was kayaking and paddle boarding with the whole family. Great house for a large group
We have rented this house for a couple of times now for a get together of longtime friends. It's a great house that's comfortable and really conducive to large groups. The open floorplan, large dining room table and deck are great for our group. Definitely will continue to come back in the future.

We LOVED our stay! This homeowner is a fantastic host and quick responder. Every bedroom was supplied with down comforters, over loaded with pillows and had surprisingly beautiful views looking out towards the lake. Extremely clean and fully stocked for whatever size group. This home is beautiful and the details show the love this homeowner has for their home. Looking forward to my next chance to stay here again! Definitely a must rent again experience.

Could not be happier with our experience. To say this home was beautiful would be an understatement. Interior decoration was straight out of a magazine and the home had every amenity you could ask for. There were no surprises and we had no complaints whatsoever. FANTASTIC!!!
This location was the best house that we have ever rented for a family reunion. The house was beautifully decorated and the view of the lake behind it was gorgeous. The amenities that were made available by the owner was more than we expected. If you like being on the water, they made sure that they had everything for fun in and on the water. The wildlife was wonderful as the geese paraded all around while we were there. When we get together, we have between 10-15 people that gather. On this visit we had eleven adults and there was plenty of room for all. Greer, South Carolina is a quaint small city with a beautiful downtown, full of shops and eateries. Of course if that isn't enough, Greenville is just a few minutes down the road. I can not say enough on how much we enjoyed the house. I would recommend this property anytime, to anyone.

Exceeded my expectations!!
I loved staying here!! The home was BEAUTIFUL, very clean and well stocked with everything you need. You could stay here with a group of people and everybody would feel like they had the best room in the house. And the kids bunk room is so adorable too. The location is in a nice neighborhood with restaurants and shopping about 15 minutes away. I felt like I was in paradise staying here!! The home over looks the lake. The lake has a dock which is where I spent most of the time when the weather was nice. Take a cool dip in the water and steam up in the sauna after. Life can't get any better than that. I would definitely recommend staying here. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. It is beyond amazing!! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
