Horse Farm Private Apt Allow Pets Great View Peaceful
Attractive large apartment on horse farm. Property has beautiful old pine and oak trees and sits 1/4 off the road for peace and quiet. 1 bedroom has a 4 poster queen bed. The second bedroom has a screened area with queen bed and dresser. There is also a full size futon and a queen sofa bed in the living area. There is a lovely large eating area adjacent to the kitchen. In the bathroom there is a shower/ bath tub and a washer and dryer. Our newly renovated, pet friendly, apartment is located in the heart of horse country. It is less than 2 miles from Route 75 and close to HITS, World Equestrian Center South and the Chi institute. The large apartment has a private entrance, kitchen, bathroom and living room and comfortably sleeps eight. There is a automatic gated quarter mile sand driveway leading to our farm. There is a $50 pet fee. Pets must be walked on lease and poop picked up. All my listings are pet friendly and regretfully pets have hair. I work VERY hard to make sure there is no hair left from the previous pet but it is almost impossible to have no hair. I no longer allow pets on the beds but hair gets everywhere.

Sherri's place is special, and unique. If you like horses, this is the place for you. Everything was great, and after 12 days we felt quite at home. It's a rustic setting, but nice. Coming and going was a breeze. If you are looking for a private location, look no further.
Sherry's place is a small horse farm nestled between other horse farms, off the road, quiet and private. The surrounding area is serene, preserved farmland. I traveled back and forth from NJ to horseshow for a month and called this place home while in Ocala--it was convenient to both HITS and WEC (about equal distance). Sherry's place is clean and spacious with all that you could need and, if you did need something, all you had to do was ask. The place is attached to Sherry's residence and another apartment but I wouldn't have known it. While there is plenty of places to sleep they are not entirely private but fine for small families with younger kids if you are not traveling alone. Sherry was a wonderful host and I would recommend her place, especially if you are here to ride and looking for a quiet place near the major showgrounds.
I travel for work, and instead of hotels I try to find nice VNRB’s. to stay in. We stay 4 to 8 weeks at a clip. Sherri’s place was hands down the best we ever stayed at. If you read her ad, she is spot on with her description, it is exactly what she claims. You are on a wonderful rustic and super comfy vacation. There are horses, dogs, kittys and a great sense of farm life.. ( without the chores of coarse) If your staying in Ocala, give this a try. I would give it 6 stars if I could
I needed a getaway far from people and noise and this was perfect. Sherri's place is fantastic for that soul healing getaway. She has a beautiful horse farm and invites relaxation I will definitely be back. I only wish I could give her 10 stars across rhe board
Beautiful “Off the Beat and Path” working horse farm, quiet crisp mornings/relaxing days-evenings
If you’re looking for fancy frilly accommodations, this setting is not for you……. BUT if you:
Enjoy the distant sound of roosters, birds awakening at dawn and the site of beautiful horses in pastures as you start your day, keep reading!!!! This is a working horse farm and the owner Sherrie lives on property. You can watch her riding/training them daily and you get to know the horses pretty quick. (Remember to always ask owners permission to hand them a treat of apple or carrot)
Property has dirt/gravel road access so expect to get a little sand in your shoes and some tracking in on your floors but nothing a quick daily sweeping can’t handle!!!
If you like birding, bring your binoculars, many species to observe!
There are neighbor dog’s that visit happily twice a day, very friendly and owner has dog as well that greets everyone then rolls over for belly rubs!
Our living quarters were clean, very comfy and had everything we could have possibly needed. There was one private bedroom and the two other beds were situated in common area with privacy screens available for use. Each bed area had nice dresser for clothing.
Large table in kitchen to seat six comfortably.
We enjoyed relaxing, reading, walking, birdwatching, feeding horses, cooking on small BBQ and visiting with Sherrie for quick moments during the day. We set up a small x-pen in grassy area just outside of our door so our dachshunds could hang outside with us for fresh air and sunshine. We loved every minute of our visit!!
VERY PET FRIENDLY!!
Owner offers three rental options on this property and I’ll certainly be back again!!
Remember…… relax, enjoy yourselves and “chose to be kind”.
This property has everything you need for an extended stay. The microwave died & Sherri brought a new one that day. She is a gracious host, we love her place & location. We would visit again!
Our stay was so comfortable at this beautiful farm property in a pretty part of Ocala. A quiet and peaceful setting, surrounded by open countryside and horses, the property is a rustic farmhouse that has everything you need to be able to enjoy your stay. It’s much bigger than I expected so there was plenty of room to spread out and we were also able to bring our three little dogs with us. They really enjoyed moseying around the property and the property owner, Sherry, was very accommodating and a joy to talk with. Made us feel right at home as we are waiting for our new build to be ready to move in. Definitely a great place to stay and enjoy all the horsey things around and WEC is just down the road.
Sherri was amazing and very accommodating. The house was very clean, and had everything you would need. I really loved the peacefulness and serenity and would definitely recommend staying here!!
Great experience in Ocala...We have had many occasions to visit and stay in Ocalla but always in a hotel. The house we stayed in was far superior in terms of convenience, amenities, and freedom to do as we chose. I would highly recommend this for anybody who is planning on spending more than a day or two up in Ocalla.
My husband and I stayed at Sherri's horse farm for 2 weeks while we took our Road Warrior toy hauler into the dealership in Ocala for warranty work we had a wonderful time the horses were so much fun to watching them in the morning sherri was quite accommodating and Considerate of any of our needs we also stayed with 3 dogs which we had no problem with walking the property and lots of restaurants and shopping stuff only 30 minutes away... we will definitely return.
Had a great stay. The place was clean and the setting was very quiet. Very entertained by the horses. Even though it’s in the country, it is very convenient to stores and restaurants. Would definently stay again.
Accurate to what you read in post. Everything you need is found in the home. It was very clean, but only one television in the main room. Fine for us, as family time was awesome. Kitchen sits 6, plus available seating around the house if needed. The horse farm was cool. If you have never been up close to horses, you have a chance here. The owner, Sherri, was super responsive to any needs, super friendly, and will talk with you if you are up to conversations. A very pet friendly place too. Close to grocery stores..about 5 miles to left or right once you leave farm, downtown Ocala about 20 minutes.. I recommend this home, and would look this up again for future visits.

Property is not a separate building, but a portion of the owner's house which has been divided, therefore the owner is living only a wall away. If you're seeking privacy take this into consideration. The setting is beautiful on a horse farm, and interior was clean and well furnished.
Lovely setting on a small Ocala horse farm. Convenient location. Sherri was attentive to anything I needed. Was traveling by myself and felt completely safe. And it’s pet friendly too!
Sherri was really accommodating and cleaned the apartment for me for an early check in. After a really long travel I was eager to get settled. She’s is a wonderful lady, and I felt perfectly safe traveling by my self this time. Her beautiful horses, super friendly dog and kitties made for a wonderful stay. Thank you, Sherri.
Love the country atmosphere. Wake up sit out side to no noise just birds and some horse nickering for breakfast.

Hello, and welcome to my short term rentals! I'm Sherri.
I'm a competitive show-jumper who relocated from Pennsylvania about 14 years ago. Here in Ocala, I train and board horses and enjoy the rich horse culture of north-central Florida. I also enjoy the weather. I do not miss those Pennsylvania winters.
I created my short term rentals for people like me — people who love horses or even just the great weather and a relaxed lifestyle.
Again, welcome! I hope you'll stay!
Why they chose this property
This is a beautiful quite peaceful property yet close to the activities in the area. The apartment is located on a farm with all the good and bad about farm life. There are horses on both sides of the 1/4 mile drive. but that comes with some smells and dust. If you are sensitive to smells this might not be the place for you. It is less than 2 miles from Route 75 and close to HITS, WEC & Chi institute. Guests have quiet, peaceful seclusion while just 2 miles from 75. The property which is naturally landscaped with massive pine and oak trees, is quiet and peaceful
What makes this property unique
Ocala is known for its horse farms and a whole lot more.
When you stay at my house, you're a short drive from great hiking and bicycling trails. And not all tweeting happens online -- we have great birdwatching here in Ocala. Lower your binoculars a little and you might see otters and turtles or foxes and deer.
In nearby Silver Springs State Park, you can float downriver on a tube and take in the magnificent surroundings or look under the water on a leisurely ride in a glass-bottom boat. Visitors looking for a little workout can try the kayaking or canoeing.
If you get your thrills in the air, our local zip lines are just a couple miles away. Or if you prefer the water, go snorkling with the manatees off the coast just west of Ocala.
And of course the internationally renowned World Equestrian Center is here, just a 10-minute drive down the road.
Whether you're visiting Ocala to relax or to seek new adventures, my house is the perfect place to start and end each day.
