About this property

Situated in a quiet section of Tybee Island's north end, Marsh Mellow is the perfect home for your beach retreat. This newly renovated four bedroom, three-bath home and outdoor shower has direct access to Chimney Creek, a small tidal creek ideal for an afternoon of kayaking and exploring.

In the morning, take your cup of coffee out to one of the home's two screened-in porches, both of which come with outdoor furniture and spectacular creek views. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing a family meal, which can be enjoyed at the dining table with seating for eight, along with the breakfast bar that seats two. The home boasts a comfortable living room with two sofas, with a decorative fireplace, flat screen TV and room to seat six on two sofas.

At the end of the day, choose to retire to the comfort of the primary bedroom, with its king-sized bed with en-suite bathroom, a second bedroom with a queen sized bed, a third bedroom with a full bed and a fourth bedroom with a queen sized bed.

The home features a lovely yard, ideal for playing lawn games like badminton, bocce or croquet. Or, take in a bit of sun on the home's small dock, which features three chairs to lounge on. A hot tub is available for your enjoyment as well as an outdoor shower for cleaning off after the beach. There is also a charcoal grill for additional cooking.

This property will permit up to 2 dogs for an additional pet-fee of $114, as long as they are on flea medication.

No events with a higher number of guests than the occupancy of the house are permitted and there is a minimum age requirement of 25 for renters. There is off street parking for a maximum of 3 to 4 cars.

As our gift to you for booking with us, we offer free admission to select Tybee attractions. Called the Xplorie Program, our guests will receive one free adult admission ticket, per night stay, to attractions like dolphin tours, bike rentals and kayak rentals. It’s our way of saying “Thanks!”

Pictures were deceptive online. Dirty pots in the cabinet. Very dangerous for small children with all the breakable nicknacks sitting around Hot tub cover was rotten and mildewed and hot tub would sometimes not heat up. Broken drawers in fridge Stains on furniture All furniture was uncomfortable in house and on porches. For the price we definitely expected more

Just like home

This home is located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. It had all the conveniences of home. We had plenty of space for our three couple group. We were able to make meals every night and enjoy evenings just hanging out at the house. The hot tub and grill worked perfectly. Plenty of parking too. Our group all agreed that this house was perfect for our stay. So comfortable, clean, and conveniently located.

Great house in a great peaceful location

This place was great for a quiet private stay with family and friends. I spent 3 nights here and the location was great for walking to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The hot tub was nice and it was great to watch the tide come in and out in the creek in the back yard on the dock.

Quiet and Green

Very green in Tybee. Other popular locations are houses on a big sand dune islands. Largest bedroom has shower, tub, double sinks and walk-in closet. Close enough to Savanah. Not commercialized. Lots of golf cart renters.

Great Home at Marsh Mellow

Perfectly lovely getaway nestled in Tybee Island

Quiet, spacious, and well-appointed. I loved sitting on the screened-in porch reading books and watching the egret dive for fish in the marsh. Almost no noise other than birds, fish, and a breeze. Everything was pretty nice and the house is in good shape.

Perfect Spot for Family Vacation

My family and I spent 2 days here. The house was very clean and had a fantastic outdoor screened-in porch. The kitchen is fully equipped and met our cooking needs. Toiletries were provided too. All of us agreed our beds were comfortable and my dad said multiple times he was impressed with all the TVs LOL. They also have a very clean hot tub (I tend to be picky on pools/hot tubs if they are old or dirty), but it was too hot to enjoy it unfortunately. This would be perfect for colder weather. Plenty of space for 4 people plus a 1 year old. The location was very ideal for experiencing Tybee Island, but also only a 20-25 minute drive to Savannah. I guess my only 'complaint' is the late check in time (5pm) and still having to pay for the full day. I would definitely stay here again for my next visit though!

Terrific for families

Excellent overall. Everything was as promised. Great space for family of all ages to be together or to find privacy, though stairs might be a challenge for elderly or climbing-challenged. Beds were comfortable; linens, towels, etc. were clean; kitchen was clean and well-furnished. Lovely beach house furniture and decorations/artwork. Water pressure in showers was superb. We had one uncomfortable close encounter with an unleashed dog near the house that gave us a fright. Based on that one encounter on one day, we believe the leash laws could be better enforced on the island. We avoided that yard when walking our dogs after that and had no further problems.

Great family escape

We had a wonderful time staying at this house on Tybee. Plenty of room for three couples and close to the beach, with a well equipped kitchen. It was exactly what we were looking for as a family vacation during these Covid-19 times. Thank you!

Perfect beach house!

Marsh Mellow is the best beach house! It's so sunny, bright, and welcoming that you feel like you are on vacation right away. Very well-equipped and extremely comfortable furnishings, from the living areas to the bedrooms and baths. Beautiful view of the marsh and easy walking distance to anything you want - beach, restaurants, dog park, etc. Great kitchen, which was well equipped. Property management was extremely friendly and responsive. The setting was so nice, and the neighbors were very friendly. This was our first time to stay in Tybee, and we would love to come back to Marsh Mellow!

Beautiful house

We absolutely loved this house. This was our 3rd Tybee Island rental and this was by far the best. The house was beautifully decorated throughout. The kitchen was well stocked for our stay. We spent the majority of our time on the screened patio just off of the living room. I loved the location...... not far from anything yet it felt like it was, which was perfect. We had a slight issue with the dryer that was remedied within 5 mins after calling about it. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed this beautiful house on Tybee! The house was very clean and nestled in a nice quiet neighborhood. The screened in porches were probably the best thing about the property, a lot of time was spent there in the morning and evenings listening to the sounds of the marsh. We highly recommend to anyone and will definitely look this property again if we venture back to Tybee.
