About this property

Welcome to our Strawbale home- With no hidden cleaning fees or a chore list.

Welcome to our Strawbale Casita. We want to make this experience the best for you so we removed all cleaning fees and chore lists. Just come and enjoy.
My husband and I built this home. It is a 600 square ft casita that is very comfortable and has everything you need. We occasionally provide a blowup Jacuzzi for your pleasure and relaxation (Let us know if you are interested). We are just south of Downtown Phoenix, but walking or biking distance from it. Our home has a very constant temperature due to the fact that the walls are about 20 inches thick. We are about 6-10 blocks from the light rail, sports venues, the convention center, theater, bars, and restaurants. We live in another Strawbale next door and can share info about the area (we are natives) but we will also give you all the privacy you need. We think you will really enjoy this unique experience. Come and see for yourselves. We are building another strawbale home right behind these which is a Hacienda with a courtyard. We are in the construction stage and will be happy to give you a tour. Perfect place for 2

We came to Phoenix for a wedding. The central location to food, downtown, and others staying in the area made it convenient to be close to all the things we needed to do. Thank you and we would stay there again!

amazing welcoming stay in downtown Arizona

We were there for a quick trip to see the baseball game. We walked from the house. It was super great were amazing and super helpful. Answered any questions we had would definitely stay there again!!! Home had a wonderful touch, and it felt like you were in your own home. It was very amazing. also, the Wi-Fi perfect for two adults working from home

Charming, convenient, comfortable

The casita was a great choice. We came to Phoenix for a baseball game. Chase Field--and all of downtown--were in walking distance. The house is in a neighborhood, so you get both a residential and city experience in one stay. The hosts are in the process of building another straw bale house on the property, and were gracious in giving us a tour and tutorial. It's a very interesting construction method which regulates the temperature and sound in the house. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly, available and helpful, but not intrusive. The casita is a separate building, so it's very private. It felt authentically Arizona. I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect, charming little getaway

My wife and I took a super quick trip to Phoenix from Alaska to see Bruce Springsteen and I wish we had longer in this sweet little home. We were greeted by prince Boo at the gate as soon as we arrived and one of our favorite parts of this trip was relaxing with Boo in the sun in the front lawn chairs. The home was spotless, cozy, quirky and equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were amazing, friendly and communicative. We felt right at home here and were sad to leave! Thanks so much for everything and give Boo some pets from us.

Best ever!

This house was so comfortable and the owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Easy walk to downtown or for an Uber/Waymo. Convenient drive to Goodyear for our baseball games without needing to stay in that new construction environment. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful and Convenient Stay in the Heart of Phoenix

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Strawbale Home as it offered a comfortable and unique retreat during our time in Phoenix. The central location made attending Spring Training games, the NASCAR race, and exploring the Phoenix Zoo incredibly convenient. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, ensuring a safe and enjoyable stay. The house's distinct charm added a nice touch to the overall experience. Haybale Casita

Cute Casita, comfortable bed, secure parking, great treat, and enjoyable inflatable hot tub. Susan is a lovely host. Home is well loved and cared for. Air traffic noticeable, pauses between 11:30 pm and 6:30 am. Convenient central location.

Comfy and cozy

We loved staying at the Strawbale Casita. It was close to downtown, fully stocked with everything we needed, and we loved meeting Boo! Heaven on Earth

This place is a must. The Hosts are beyond helpful and kind. The Casita itself is charming and cozy but the people themselves make the experience feel like home. Added bonus of being close to downtown and attractions. Can’t forget our new furry friends as well, Lucy and Boo are the best. Can’t wait to come again. Thank you.

Mother and daughter trip

This was our second stay at this beautiful Casita. I was very comfortable having my daughter stay alone there for the first 5 days (while I traveled on business) because Susan and silvario were right next door. This is a home away from home place for us. Can't wait to come back again for another stay! Highly recommend this place if you are ever in Phoenix area.

Perfect!

Everything exceeded any expectation i had for my 20yr old daughter and I to have a nice, convenient place to stay so we could visit colleges and attend a local concert at Chase stadium. We were taken care of the moment we reserved by Susan. Could not not be a cuter place, awesome location and amazing host!
