Overall we had a great time in TN. The property had good bones a
We have some suggestions to make people's stay more comfortable at the majestic springs lodge. We were unable to find basic cooking supplies such as oven mitts, measuring cups, measuring spoons, etc. The temperature control in the rooms was very inconsistent. My sister upstairs was very hot, while I was cold downstairs. Also, the house is quite loud- creaky, water noises, woodpeckers. I would suggest having box fans in the rooms to drown out noise and help with inconsistent temperature. A personal preference detail- we all thought it would've been nice to see local artwork in the cabin, since it was so close by to the artisan shops. Other than these things, we were happy with our stay. We enjoyed all of the amenities in the house. We loved the location, pool, hot tub, and movie room. My nephew loved the video games and pool table. Thanks!
I booked this as a last minute stay and was looking for something with entertainment options for an 11 and 14yr old in the case of bad weather, a main floor bedroom for my parents, and the option to bring a pet. The layout is very nice. The indoor pool and outdoor covered hot tub were both very nice. The backyard area is plenty big enough to walk a dog and has a gentle slope, which is a tough find. I gave 4 stars on the check-in process because they do require you to stop by the office to sign papers prior to arriving at property. There was an additional 3rd party pool draining fee that was not disclosed until after I booked the property. The local management company, Smokey Mountain Dream Vacations, and representative, Rachel, were very responsive and great to work with. I did not have any contact with Red Awning or the property owner.
Concerns: Upon arrival, there was a strong odor. We located a bowl under the sink, placed due to a leak, that had a layer of scum like it had been there a long time. There was a crazy amount of thick dust on all fan blades and to a lesser degree on most surfaces. The appliances, dishes and cookware need an update. The dishwasher didn't work well and we just wound up buying disposable products for our stay. I contacted Rachel shortly after we arrived thinking we missed the cleaners, but they had been there that day. The ashtrays outside had been blown over and the decks, grill and hot tub areas were littered in cigarette butts and some trash. She was great about trying to help and offered to have the cleaning crew return the next day. I did have them bring fresh towels as the ones in place had an odor, but honestly, the last thing I wanted when we are trying to limit exposure to people is to either have to leave or be in an awkward situation trying to stay out of their way. They did come, but kids were remote schooling and didn't answer door so they left towels, which was nice. The place really needs a good deep cleaning. We pulled out the couch in the TV room and the mattress was stained and thin. The area visible under the couch was chock full of food and trash. My 11 yr old wound up sharing a bedroom with me. Loose leg on kitchen chair that we fixed and downstairs toilet was running continuously upon arrival until we adjusted the chain. Bedding was very worn. I feel that in comparison with other properties we've stayed, the price is quite high for the amenities and current overall condition.
Start to finish this trip was wonderful. The house was so perfect. It had everything that we needed to have a wonderful stay. The kids loved it so much that they asked to go back to the house when we were out in town.
I can not recommend this house enough! It was amazing.
Great place to stay, has everything you need to enjoy family fun.
Property was well cared for inside and out. Property owner/manager great to deal with. Will consider renting property again but will deal directly with Smoky Mountain Dream Vacations. We had problems with Red Awning (VRBO) messing up our reservations. Red Awning has some serious communication problems.
Kids loves the pool! A ways out from downtown but still amazing!!!

Our stay
Over all our stay was really good. No real big issues. There are 2 neighbors that are right across the street, you could occasionally hear them. The manager had also watched surveillance video from our stay and apparently saw a dog on property, they had asked if we had a pet which we did not. The dog was a neighbors pet.

Majestic Springs Lodge
The house was exactly how the pictures look online. It’s location is up in the mountains and the area is beautiful. The indoor pool was perfect for the kids especially when it rains. I highly recommend this property to rent. You definitely won’t be disappointed.
