TAX
The State of Hawaii mandates a total tax of 17.962%. Excise tax is 4.172% and Transient Tax is 13.25% effective as of November 1, 2021 to be paid on all transient accommodations. Taxes are identified on the reservation confirmation (Subject to change). (The higher rate of 17.962% applies to all departures starting 1/1/2024 regardless of when the property was booked.

Taxes are paid to the state of Hawaii and County of Maui based on the guest’s dates of stay. Any changes to the current tax rate will be charged or refunded to the guests depending on the increase or decrease.

One light was burned out in bathroom. Guest bathroom the toilet paper holder was loose on wall and base was missing. You should have a makeup mirror in master bathroom for women.

Amazing property

This is definitely a 5* property! The condo was very clean, had all the kitchen gadgets you would ever need, beach chairs, toys, etc. The check in process was extremely easy. Just drove up to the valet and let them know we were there. We had the room key code already and it made for such as easy check in. Everything in the condo was in working order. Ease of communication and response times were exceptional. We will be booking again!

Wonderful stay

The property is in a great location. Easy beach access and 3 pools to choose from. The lanai was a great spot for morning coffee and evening relaxing and watching the sun set or rise over the water. The kitchen is well stocked but with the food truck court in walking distance, cooking is optional!

Great condo in a resort setting

This was a condo in a resort setting with all of the amenities you are looking for. The condo is better in person than the pictures posted. There are multiple pools great for families. It can get busy during high season but very quiet when the kids are back in school season. Resort a few blocks away from the grocery store and other food places. Super convenient. We had a great stay.

We stayed late January to early February 2023 and unfortunately the resort and the condo were not what we were expecting. First, the resort itself is older and undergoing maintenance, which means more noise and equipment than usual, such as cranes for power washing and painting the exterior. The landscapers started around 7 am with their leaf blowers and hedge trimmers, too. Second, the resort seems geared towards families with kids. The pools were pretty crowded with adults and children, and the beach can get crowded, too. There's also not much option for shade unless you get there early or purchase beach umbrellas (which we did). The condo itself was okay, but not as clean or comfortable as we expected for the price that we paid. The dryer is not vented so you are not supposed to put sheets or towels in it; the bathrooms don't have hand towel racks so you're always trying to air the wet towels out; the knives and scissors in the kitchen are dull, the mattresses are very soft (not great if you prefer a firmer mattress); and the balcony is in the sun for most of the day, except for early morning when the noise in the courtyard below begins or in the evening. We did contact the property manager about a week into our stay and she said had we contacted her sooner she would have tried to fix some of these issues. She was very responsive and did offer to send someone over to fix the broken toilet paper holder and also offered us a dining voucher for our inconvenience, which we declined. We did send her photos though of the areas that were in need of cleaning and repair. In summary, if you want to stay near the beach in Maui with your family and kids, this might be a good condo and resort for you. Lots of other kids and not high end or fussy. I do think for the price though, there might be better options for a beach vacation.

Awesome vacation

The condo was beautiful with 2 very nice bedrooms and bathrooms. The ac could of been a little bit better , it just turned off too much and you had to keep turning back in every time the balcony door was opened. It would of been nice if it turned itself back on when the door was closed. Otherwise it was a very nice place and I would stay here again if I have the chance.

Excellent stay

Having been to Maui on several occasions, this location provided the best snorkeling just outside the condo. The condo was beautiful and easily accommodated the 5 people in our group.

Great Condo!

Thanks for a fantastic stay - the condo is just as pictured and is in a fantastic location in the complex. We loved being able to see the pool from our place, hear the fun being had in the courtyard, and being close to the elevator for easy access to everything. A bonus was some beach equipment in the condo -- chairs, toys, and a rolling cooler. Thanks!

Perfect for families

This condo was perfect for our family. It was so nice to have 2 bedrooms & a pull out sofa. Our kids loved the waterslide. The proximity to the beach was amazing & their were plenty of beach toys in the closet to use. Having Dukes restaurant on property was also a nice treat.

Great stay in Hawaii

Our stay in Hawaii and this location was excellent – Fereshteh was an excellent host to work with. The condo had everything we needed and when we couldn’t locate an ironing board one morning, Fereshteh provided a brand new one within the day! The condo and resort were everything you need to get a little R&R, thanks again!!

Paradise

This was a great fit for our group which included my husband, my dad and myself. We had our own separate suites. The full kitchen was great so we didn’t have to dine out all the time. The pools were great, Dukes restaurant on the property had wonderful food and drinks and we were steps to the ocean. Absolute perfection. I would add there were a lot of kids so if you aren’t traveling with little ones (which we were not) just know this is a very kid friendly place. The property owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We loved our stay.

Excellent Vacation at Honua Kai

My family and I had a wonderful stay in this condo. We enjoyed making meals (kitchen had everything we needed) and eating on the Lanai. We had no problem finding parking in the underground garage. Due to COVID, the resort had limited seating available around the pools so we learned quickly to get chairs by 8am. Maui is the best Hawaiian Island and Kaanapali area can't be beat! TIP = The kids wanted to boogie board. The waves on the beach in front of the resort are calm - not ideal for that. There's an excellent beach 10 minutes up the road called DT Flemming. Great waves and sea turtles!

A wonderful stay

This was a really nice place - an ideal condo for two couples (with two master bedrooms with king beds and private bathrooms). Sometimes photographs on a web site can be staged in a way that is a bit deceptive, but this is genuinely beautiful, with a view from the lanai that is even better than we anticipated. The pools and the beach at the resort are quite nice, and the location is conveniently central to many beaches, restaurants and other amenities.

Beautiful Clean room in a wonderful resort!

We have been to Maui many times, but this condo was by far our favorite setting the bar for future trips. Our kids loved the pools and freedom to safely roam around. The condo was large enough for a family of 5. We had plenty of space! The condo itself is very clean and the kitchen was awesome. We especially loved the outdoor/indoor living with the big glass doors and the view. We usually do alot of driving when we are there, but we drove very little and mostly stuck around the area because it was so great! Location is fabulous and quiet! Our only issue was the towel machine. It NEVER worked and we spent alot of time everyday tracking down someone to help but they do not like to help anyone who is staying in an owner condo which seems ridiculous considering they probably get a decent amount per month from the owners to have a place there. Everything else was perfection! Thanks for a great stay!

condo is nicely appointed and the kitchen has everything needed for dining in.

This complex and condo unit was so nice we hardly ventured anywhere else. The two masters suites are perfect for two couples. All beach needs are there and snorkeling is great right in front of the resort. That was a bonus we didn’t expect and we saw some incredible species. Check in and out was easy and we liked having the bracelet key for everything.

Wonderful stay on Maui

We really enjoyed our stay on Maui. The condo was exactly as described. We enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella provided. We also cooked most breakfasts here and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the patio area and the amazing views of the ocean. Check in was easy and as was communicating with the property manager who allowed us to check in a little early as well. We will definitely stay here again!

This property is excellent. The room we stayed in was perfect. It had everything we needed and was very clean. I travel extensively and this is one of the best condos I have stayed in. The location was great as it had a very nice pool and ocean view. We loved eating at Duke's restaurant on the property. Fereshteh who is the property manager was fantastic to work with and made everything easy for us. Check-in and check out was a breeze. We loved the wristbands for getting into the room and for getting the pool towels. I would highly recommend staying in this unit.

First and foremost, communication with the owner of this property was smooth and easy, from check in to check out. Their were absolutely no problems with the unit. The unit is beautiful, and the pictures online of the view of the ocean from the lanai really don’t do it justice. The lanai is huge, and the view of the ocean is amazing. You don’t really need the air, due to the trade winds. Just open up the lanai and bedroom windows, and circulate the fans and you’re in heaven. The location of the unit is ideal, especially if you are traveling with children. The elevator, literally outside the unit, will take you right to the garage, lobby which is right by the pool, exit which is a short walk to the gym in the next building, or to a large field where my 5 year old twins and myself would run around and play soccer, when we were not traveling the island. Grocery store 5 minute drive, upon exit of the facility. All staff were very nice, and a cute but expensive little coffee / grocery store on grounds. Heated pool, made for several nights of swimming in the dark, which my boys loved. Well appointed kitchen with every thing we needed, laundry was awesome. Overall just a great unit to call your home base while on the island. Would definitely book this unit again on our next trip to Maui. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us Fereshteh Tali!
