Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I decided to get away for the weekend to try to rest and recharge after a couple of weeks of bad news and some unexected health problems. We had stayed at Elk Springs Resort before so we booked with them again. This time we wanted to stay in all weekend, watch movies, enjoy some college football and relax. The Sunset Chalet was perfect for us! It had a hot tub, sauna, a well equiped game room, and a theater room. The yard was awesome and the views were good. We spent the entire weekend playing games, watching movies, and the best part just talking and being together. The rental was spotless, we had plenty of towels, a nice grill and tons of rocking chairs. I highly recommend Elk Springs Resort for a weekend get away or a week long stay.

From the time I booked it, there constant communication from the resort with all the information you would need. A great location and only 10 minutes to everything you would possibly need including some great fun places for the kids. The Aquarium was amazing and we had a great meal at the Alamo Steak House. Can't wait to come back again.

Second time we've rented at Elk Springs and the service is very good, with quick response to maintenance. Nice to not feel like you're in Gatlinburg but be minutes away.Cabin was in generally good condition. Only suggestions would be to better stock the kitchen especially for a large group where we plan to cook quite a bit and add window screens.

Had plenty of room for everyone and the unit provided everything we needed to keep everyone busy with pool, hot tub, golf game, multiple TV's, theatre room, etc. Suggestions: upgrade utensils (forks, spoons, etc.); more towels, more seating in lower level by large TV.

It is now called Sunset Chalet and is just as amazing as about 10 years ago that we stayed there. We have stayed in probably six or seven cabins in Elk Springs Resort and have been happy with all of them. The location is great and the cabins are nice and clean. The customer service has always been friendly and helpful. We would recommend staying at Elk Springs Resort and look forward to coming back. Have a blessed day!

Plenty of linen & the HVAC system worked wonderful. We loved the fireplace. There is a view of the mountains that was incredible. The mountain tops had snow on them. Incredible!! The bathrooms were the perfect size and cleaned well. The bedrooms were good sizes and the sauna made it extra special. The cleaning and furniture were very important to me. I didn’t want to work about contamination. There was quite a few ladybugs and dust behind doors & in window seals but we requested a cleaning and they came back to clean. Overall, it’s a great place including location to stay.

Before our son left to the Army we wanted to find a beautiful cabin at Elk Springs and we did just that. Cabin was immaculately clean. The layout was perfect. My husband, my baby and I stayed on the main floor my two sons and their girlfriends had the upstairs two bedrooms which they had their own bathrooms and my youngest daughter stayed on the lowest floor. Everyone loved it we used the hot tub and the theater room, every night that we were there, the fireplace was beautiful in the living room as was the kitchen we cooked dinner every night. We enjoyed making new memories here before our son left to the army. We are so happy we went with this cabin. Thank you Elk Springs Resort for always helping us make the best memories.

Reviewer Comments: The issues that I had with the cabin were as follows:1.The tops of the cabinets were filthy and very noticeable each tip we took the stairs up to the second floor.2.The refrigerator was not cold upon arrival with groceries in tow nor was it cleaned properly.3. The windows were dirty. And the outdoor furniture was scattered about.4. The bed linens need to be tossed. They are worn out.5.There was not enough service ware for the party reserved which made it difficult to properly set the table for meals which were served at the cabin.

Poor Experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd stay in this cabin & the value for the money spent was not worth it. We were highly disappointed. One of the bathrooms had toenails in the stall; the kitchen was not thoroughly clean (we cleaned ourselves & there was accumulated filth); we had a light bulb out in the kitchen area, the rockers & furniture on the veranda were dusty & full of pollen; one of the tubs drained very slowly, our dining area curtains & valence were up backwards & our ice dispenser on the refrigerator did not dispense ice (had to stick your hand in for ice). We were unable to use the theater room because the sound was cutting in & out.

Nice Overall

Checks most of the boxes for room, comfort, and entertainment. Wife did complain about lack of certain kitchen utensils, but no deal breakers there. The porch goes most way around the cabin. A gazebo was short distance away. View of tbe mountains was great. We did have a roach turn up on the stairway one day. It was half-dead with legs in the air, but still kicking. So the property must have had been sprayed at some point. The theater room was nice, but someone had disconnected the hdmi cables to the sound bar and the hdmi switch. It took a little time to put them all back, and after that it was nice to sit back, relax, and enjoy watching a movie. Pool table was nice. The masterbath did smell a bit odoriferous, but it looked clean. Personally I wouldn't use the ice and water from the frig' because the ice tasted a bit bitter. So not sure if the water filter in the frig had been changed regularly. So the big things with the cabin are all good with some complaints as well.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this cabin for a birthday event where our children and grandchildren as well as my mom could get together. The property had everything that we could need, but wasn't as tidy as we would have expected. The windows along the deck on the main floor were very dirty and smeared which diminished to wonderful view. The queen bunk beds downstairs weren't made up, and there were crumbs in the top bunk. The outside grill starter didn't work,and there weren't any matches or lighter to use to light it. Otherwise, it was a wonderful place for the family, and everyone enjoyed the downstairs game room thoroughly. The large bear that kept hanging around was exciting to see, if not a little scary.
