Franklin Street House Review

The place was exactly as advertised! The apartment was very clean and within walking distance of almost anything you could want! My only small complaint is that you share an internet connection with the entire building so it can run a fairly slow when everybody is using it. Other than that it was perfect. I would recommend this place to anybody!

Good location, cozy retreat

My husband and I have differing opinions. After a long day of driving he was very frustrated on not being able to easily enter the apartment which set the tone for the week. When I got upstairs and saw what he was having an issue with, I suggested we might not need keys (except for laundry) so just use the key pad on the door. He was then further angered when the door stuck, quite badly I will say. But, we were in and there was the laundry key on a hook. The apt was clean and had everything we needed. Yes the fridge was small, but not a huge issue. My two complaints were with the tiny bathroom and as a woman in her 70's crawling in and out of bed not fun! The location was excellent, neighborhood quiet when it needed to be, liked the fireplace, comfortable bed (once I was in), and I'd recommend it to maybe younger folks.

Great location and price

I stayed here in September 2016 for a business trip. The apartment is small but comfortable, and was mostly quiet at night. PROS: The bedding was wonderful. I did not utilize the kitchen but it looked very well equipped for small scale meals. Great proximity to a wide selection of restaurants. Safe neighborhood for a single female. Would recommend to a friend. CONS: The bathroom was tiny--you cannot sit straight on the toilet and the sink is minuscule. Very steep stairs to 2nd floor--hard to get a suitcase up. No room for suitcase in bedroom. (These are small details, I know).

Very conveniently located charming property.

We really enjoyed our visit to our old home town of Denver. Location was great with excellent resturants and bars within walking distance. Easy to pop downtown for a Rockies game! The property was cozy, kitchen adequate and super comfortable bed. Very clean. Bathroom was so so small and the door would not close. Great shower though. Fortunately my husband and I are lean people or it would have been a huge problem. We stayed over the weekend and it was quite noisy on Friday and Sat nights. I would recommend this property, just be aware of cramped bath.

Comfort & Convenience at an Affordable Price!

Our May 18-23 visit to Denver was a delightful one, thanks in large part to the accommodations provided by the Bizzaros. Our walk-up unit was nicely furnished and had adequate space for our needs (as mentioned in an earlier review, the bathroom is a bit small if you're an above average sized person). We loved the neighborhood and the unit is a ten minute walk from our daughter's home, so we didn't move our vehicle at all during our stay. For convenience, price, and overall appeal we feel very fortunate that we lucked into this unit.

Nice Little place.

I was staying here for a week and a half between selling my house and finishing up work before moving out of state. Pros: Nice little space that is in a fun little area where you can walk to much of the things you might want / need. It is clean and the bed is comfortable. It knows what it is and doesn't try to be anything more. The owners were responsive. If you like whiskey, Argyl's down the street has a great menu. Cons: As others mentioned the bathroom is laughably cramped, but it gets the job done. The kitchen is ok to heat some things up, but even mac n cheese was a little tricky to make. Since it is an old house noise form other occupants carries through. I would stay there again.

Great location & has everything you need!

Wonderful cozy apartment in the Capital Hill section of Denver - convenient to lots of great restaurants and shops. Fantastic location. Has everything you need - only downside to the entire place is the extremely small bathroom but even that was doable after getting used to it. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for convenience and a nice place to stay.

Hidden hideaway

The wonderful neighborhood which surrounds this little suite makes it a great place for walkers. Tastefully decorated for two people, this apartment boasts all the amenities one needs, including a most relaxing queen bed, for a comfortable stay in the City Park West area. A direct mile walk to the central downtown area made it easy to travel to the major hotel hosting our seminar. Having a designated parking space was convenient. It is easy to travel anywhere in the city BUT downtown; one has to get oriented to the one way streets which makes downtown a real pain to navigate in a car, never mind the road construction. There are ZipCars available in Denver too. However, this neighborhood boasts great restaurants. And don't forget Voodoo Donuts. We would stay here anytime!

Clean, Cute, Convenient!!

We loved staying in this apartment during our five day stay in Denver. It was spotless when we arrived and we were welcomed with a small bottle of wine! The apartment was a great size for us and was very comfortable and relaxing. We loved being able to walk to the nearby restaurants!!! It was very quiet and in a pretty neighborhood. I definitely recommend this apartment for 1-2 people who like being close to restaurants and are looking for a quiet place to rest!

Hidden Gem in Denver

This place was perfect for our stay in Denver. A great location close to downtown. With shops and restaurants within walking distance of the house. I forgot my headphones (expensive Bose) in the living room the day I checked out. Jeanne was kind enough to mail them to Alaska for me!! If I could give more than five stars I would!

Cute Appartment in Great Location

My husband and I stayed in this upstairs apartment in an a 1920s or 1930s vintage house in a great neighborhood in Denver. The owner was very helpful-when the unit I first tried to book was already rented she changed the minimum stay for this unit so we could rent it for our short trip. The bathroom is small but that really cannot be helped based on the layout of the space. Everything was clean and comfortable. We walked to the art museum and to the botanic gardens, and there were nice restaurants very nearby. Should we find ourselves back in Denver we would stay here again.

Very nice, comfortable place that is in a great location

My wife and I spent 4 nights in this cozy (it is small, see below) place conveniently located close to just about everything. It took no more than 10 minutes to get to downtown and to get to Cherry Creek, maybe 15 minutes to Highlands. Fun restaurants/bars less than 2 blocks away. The place is well cared for, and Jeanne has a way of making you feel at home. A nice note and bottled water were waiting for us when we arrived, wireless access was flawless (even through the non-stop storm the entire time we were there), bed was very comfy, and there was some coffee in the cupboard (whew). It was exactly what we needed. The only thing to be aware of is that the bedroom and bathroom are small. Especially the bathroom, very tiny sink, and toilet that (assuming you are taller than about 5'8") you have to sit on side-saddle to avoid having your knees up in your chest. Other than this one little issue, I would stay at this place every trip to Denver, no hesitation. And again, Jeanne was a delight to work with. I do recommend this rental.

Perfect little apartment

My husband and I stayed in this perfect little apartment while we visited our daughter in Denver. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had just the right amount of kitchen ware to create delicious breakfasts and meals for 2-4 people. We so appreciated the nice appliances, lovely bed linens, plush towels, and comfortable bed! Thank you Jeanne and Juve for creating such a cozy retreat! Interesting, vibrant neighborhood location too!

What a wonderful week I had in Denver, made so comfortable in your charming and attractive apartment. It was squeaky clean, and beautifully decorated. The space was wonderful to have since I was visiting friends and family and could entertain them. The location was quiet, and close to everything in town. Thank you for your attention to detail.

Quiet house in superb location

Our first visit to Denver was made special by staying at this apartment house. It was a quiet home to return to after a day of visiting and excursions in Denver. The home location is convenient, a quiet neighborhood very close to downtown. The bed was extremely comfortable and luxurious. Overall, a positive experience and would recommend as well as return for another visit to Denver.

Perfect couple nest!

We spent a week in this VRBO while attending National Jewish Hospital for tests. We were able to walk to the hospital, about 1.5 miles along the edge of City Park, and also to walk downtown about the same distance to the Art Museum and 16th Street Mall. The apartment was quiet and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the electric fireplace, the ipod dock, the great selection of books, and the cute kitchen appointments. We were able to relax and feel at home. I highly recommend!

Why they chose this property

This apartment is in a house that has been owned by my family for three generations. It is located on the edge of downtown and in a progressive neighborhood that is continuing to add new restaurants and shops every month. The house is full of character, and updated to meet today's lifestyle. We provide wireless internet and a quiet cozy accommodation. We love our house, and hope that you do too.
