2 Bedroom, walk on waterfront cottage, fully furnished, open floor plan, hot tub, parking, BBQ, year round accommodation located 10 minutes from the Comox Airport and 15 minutes from downtown Courtenay and Comox shopping. Built in 2012, modern, with TV, DVD, internet and wi-fi. Watch the ocean from the front patio with cruise ships passing by and all the wildlife the Comox Valley has to offer. Bates Beach is close by with boat rentals, boat launch and fishing opportunities. Mount Washington ski and recreation resort is 45 minutes away. Centrally located on Vancouver Island in the heart of recreation and culture with many possibilities close at hand.
The cottage also offers full laundry facilities, outside shower, wood burning fireplace/stove, the ocean facing bedroom has one queen bed, the second bedroom has 2 single beds. patio furniture and a kitchen with all appliances and utensils necessary to make your stay a pleasant one.
PLEASE NOTE base rental rate quoted is for 2 guests. There is an additional charge for each guest (including children) beyond 2.

Perfect place to recharge

Spent 4 nights here and this location is unbelievable. Right at the water! We watched all kinds of wildlife from the hot tub, spent tons of time on our paddleboards with easy water access Quiet and honestly just amazing.

Would definitely stay here again

My husband and I together with my elderly parents stayed at this delightful cottage for a week. The cottage is located in a friendly, quiet neighbourhood close to walking trails and the beach. Everything was clean and all the essentials were provided. We had an issue with the wifi on day 4 and the owners were quick to remedy the problem. We couldn’t have enjoyed more.

Cozy oceanfront cabin

Perfect little cabin for our family. It was a nice safe place for our kids to run around and explore. It would be great if there was a fence, trees or something to create a bit more privacy between the two cabins, We would love to book again!

There is a very peaceful vibe to this property. Our days were determined by the tides and the calls and songs of several different birds. We sat on the chairs and stared at the ocean. The cottage has all you may need. It was spotless and communication with Rosalie was super easy. Book it!

Just What The Dr Ordered

What a wonderful place! It is so cozy and is right on the ocean front making for a lovely, relaxing vacation. It is close to parks, beaches and wineries, and also...the views from the cabin are incredible! Can't beat it. The hosts were very friendly and communication was easy and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be coming here again.

Quiet get away

This was such a nice little cottage - out of the way, quiet, private (I think we happened to be the only ones on the property for the most part), well appointed, clean, and the hot tub was great.

Perfect Get-Away

This is a very comfortable and cozy vacation property conveniently located on the ocean near the Comox Valley. So clean and well equipped right down to the lovely touch of fresh flower bouquets. We watched otters, a whale, herons and kingfishers right in front of us on the Salish Sea as well as the passing cruise ships. The beautiful Seal Bay Nature Park is nearby and provides many excellent walking trails. This property is perfect for a quiet retreat or a fun family vacation.

BC Beauty

This was a very much needed rest from a stressful year at work! It was also an amazing time to reconnect with family, my sister from Texas came who we haven’t seen for a few years, before Covid. This place was so peaceful and beautiful. It was comfortable and had everything you could want in an oceanfront cottage. We made lots of use of the hot tub; watching the blue heron catch fish and the feisty Kingfisher hovering before diving for a feast. Fantastic ! We did see Harbour seals bathing on a rock, and we think the fins of either a dolphin or whale but no close sightings. Still not at all disappointed and will definitely recommend! The only downfall is the rockiness going out to the water.

Beautiful sunrise

Had a wonderful week with my friend and our pups.....got some lovely relaxing time watching the ocean and wildlife.... This is our second time staying and we most definitely will be coming back next year! My only wish would be for a fenced-in yard, so pups don't need to be on a leash. Other than that, I highly recommend The cottages at Udina Bay.

Lovely time at bates beach

The cabin was perfect for our needs and we very much enjoyed our stay. The accomdation was as listed and had all the amenities we needed to enjoy a week at the beach. Beautiful view of herons and seals and at night time we even heard whales, magical. Will deffinetly be back .

A Little Piece of Heaven

We loved everything about the cottage: the beds were comfortable, the living room furniture inviting, the kitchen well equipped. But the best part were the views! To wake up every morning watching the sun rise behind the coastal range across the Strait was simply magical! Our dogs enjoyed the beach walks at low tide, we enjoyed having a place to hose them and us off and relax in the hot tub. Check in and out was easy. Rosalie even brought us the occasional bag of fresh vegetables from her garden! Staying a month, we met some of the neighbors and enjoyed talking to them across the fence and on our walks. If only it wasn't a 2000 mile trip, we'd be back every year!

Our two weeks at this cottage were heaven. It is so wonderful to watch the ever changing sea, the birds, and sea mammals. A provincial park and a nature preserve are nearby for peaceful forest walks. The cottage itself has all the amenities one could want. We love it!

We have lived in the Comox Valley most of our lives and owned this property since the early 1960's. In 2012 the cottage was rebuilt from the foundation up so it is new, modern, comfortable and a great place to relax and unwind. We wanted to share it's beauty.

Why they chose this property

We love and appreciate nature, quiet, the ocean, the mountain views and above all privacy therefore this was the perfect property for us, which we now wish to share with others.

What makes this property unique

The views, sound of the ocean lapping on the shore, watching the wildlife and cruise ships (in season) go by along with the peace and serenity make this an enjoyable place to kick back.
