Beach Nest is in a quaint, 9-home neighborhood along 30-A in Santa Rosa Beach. This four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home is just steps from the beautiful pool, a short walk to the beach, and near several excellent local seafood restaurants. Gulf Place is also a short walk away where you will find numerous shops and restaurants. Don't worry about traffic, just hop on your bike for a ride on paved bike paths down 30-A, or though the miles of adjoining State Forest trails.

The first floor is designed to maximize conversation, with an open plan living room, dining room, and kitchen. The formal dining area seats six, with additional seating at the casual breakfast bar. The restaurant-quality, stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops are among the many stand-out amenities found throughout this home. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking essentials if you decide to stay in. The first-floor king suite has a private bathroom with a large, walk-in shower. The first floor also houses a large laundry room and a half-bathroom.

The upstairs bedrooms have spectacular views. The two queen suites are furnished with full, private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations and flat-screen TVs. The bunkroom, which sleeps four, is also equipped with a flat-screen TV. Next to the bunk room, there is another full bathroom with a shower/tub combination, and a sitting room with a flat-screen TV/DVD player and a sleeper sofa. The owners have also provided a new gas grill! Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee on the porch or balcony that overlooks the pool area. Beach Nest is well-equipped with everything you need to make this one of your most memorable vacations ever!

Excellent location to beach access. Quiet neighborhood
This was our yearly family trip. 11 total people this time. Came with 4 bikes. Close to beach access. 7 minute walk from door to sand. Walking distance to three good restaurants and ice cream shop. Walking distance to golf cart rental that was fair priced. Great quiet family neighborhood. Overall size for 11 people didn’t feel cramped. Check in was a breeze though no early check ins. Owner was friendly. Great stay!!! Will book again

Annual Beach Trip
My family had a wonderful time. The Beach Nest was well stocked and had the room we needed. The walk to the beach was about 5 minutes, but renting a golf cart is a must for carrying bags and those who don’t want to walk.

We had a great time w adult children and two grandchildren. House was awesome and loved the location. Picture and descriptions were accurate and we had everything we needed for meal prep. Our family would definitely stay here again.

Nice property but Five Star needs a different cleaning company!
Since all the beds had a paper band indicating they were clean and ready we did not discover the primary bedroom sheets had Not been changed till bedtime so we were not able to use that room the first night. (The owner sent someone out the next morning) Also obvious the unit had not been dusted recently and the bathroom floor had not been swept or mopped. Since a floor plan was not included for this property it wasn’t clear that the upstairs sitting area didn’t have a door. Really expected much better for what we paid. The pool was nice and the proximity to the beach was great.

Great Location
The house is in a perfect location from the beach. You can get your walk in for the day and enjoy the beach all day. We loved the slower pace, with small children in tow, we had no problem walking to the beach. We really loved using the bikes too. We’ll be back.

First Panhandle Visit for Grands
Nice, quiet, convenient property! The house had a good layout, and it was great to have nice linens, beach umbrella and chairs, and cleanup included in the fees. Having the pool within yards of the house was ad added benefit. The walk to the beach was short even though a couple of times we took the van for younger children and beach items. We don't recommend planning to use the sofa sleeper. The major issue we encountered was wasp nests. Our six-year-old grand-daughter had a miserable time for her stay since she was stung as soon as she touched the railing.

LOVE THE HOUSE
This was our 2nd time staying at this place. We absolutely love it and the location. However the dishwasher was broken. We reported it twice but it never got fixed and he had to hand wash dishes all week. Please fix this or replace it....so the next people renting it won't have to hand wash the dishes. Thank you!

Beautiful place to stay & would stay again with a few modications
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home for spring break. There was plenty of room (and beds) for everyone. Only a few complaints regarding the house; if you are staying in the master bedroom, because the living room is wood/tile floors, you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the kitchen, dining and living rooms. That was probably the absolute worst sleeping I've had. If you have to use the pull out couch upstairs for sleeping, bring your own pillows & blankets because there are none to be had in the house. Also, when walking up and down the stairs, make sure you have rubber bottomed shoes on - they are slick and falling or slipping was a daily occurrence. You'll have a bit of a walk to the beach, but the roads around the area are geared for heavy foot and bike traffic. The kitchen was large and had most of the utensils needed to put together a meal. Pancakes for 12 was a challenge with only a small and medium sized skillet. Also, the bar/sink/island was very close to the back counter in the kitchen so more than 2 people trying to prep and/or cook was something which needed to be coordinated. Parking was the only other item which is always an issue. 3 cars for a 4 bedroom house? We ran out of our allotted space quickly. Thankfully, there were few other renters around so we had the parking we needed. Use of four bikes for free was awesome!!!

Destin Dream Vacation!
The beautiful "Beach Nest" provided us ample space, good times, and everything we needed. Beach and beach access point was close, as was restaurants and shopping. Our group of 10 fit comfortably and the property was 'homey'. The listing was accurate and the property management company knocked it out of the park. We had no maintenance or cleaning issues. We arrived and the home was in pristine condition and we enjoyed our welcome gift and greeting from Five Star. Highly recommend. 5 Stars!

Great Vacation
Wonderful place for our first ever family vacation. The cottage was lovely with lots of space for everyone in our family ranging in age from 88 to 2. Beach was a little walk, but not too far, and the beach was very nice. The kids enjoyed the pool as well, which was super clean. Shopping and restaurants were close--something for everybody. The management company was very responsive, and I loved the app for my phone! It was a great week.
