The villa is the centrepiece of the small, private village of La Montanina. The building dates back to the 16th century and is located in the centre of the charming piazzetta, which is surrounded by two further country houses.

Main building: on the first floor there is a spacious kitchen with an antique fireplace and a large dining table for 14 people. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, dishwasher, fridge, and stove with four rings. A hallway leads to the bedrooms, two with a queen size bed and one with two single beds (each 80 x 190cm). There are two bathrooms: a main bathroom and an en-suite bathroom in one of the bedrooms, which both have a shower. On the second floor there is a large living room with two fireplaces, sofas, a dining table for twelve people, and a gallery with a sofa for relaxing. There is a separate kitchen area with a dishwasher, oven, fridge, and stove with four rings. On this floor there are two bedrooms with a queen size bed, and one bdroom with two single beds (each 80 x 190cm), as well as two bathrooms with a shower (one of which is en-suite in one of the bedrooms).

The villa provides everything you need for a comfortable stay: heating, air conditioning, fly screens, fully-equipped kitchens, modern bathrooms, fireplaces and wireless Internet access. On the ground floor of the villa there are a laundry room and a fitness room. The living area in the main building of the villa is on two floors that are connected via stone stairs. Next to it there is an annex. The rooms feature traditional Tuscan colours. The interiors comprise antique furniture and valuable wall coverings in a classical Tuscan style, selected by the owner.

The central piazzetta faces the private pool (15 x 7m), which is next to a vineyard and is surrounded by a lawn. On the piazzetta there is a gazebo with sofas for relaxing. On one side there is an antique wood-burning oven, which is still usable. Guests can benefit from an approximately 2-hectare garden. The annex provides access to a large veranda under the loggia, which has a dining table for 14 people. On the northern side, behind the owner’s house, there is a park with centuries-old trees that stretches as far as the Arno River (300 metres away). Those who would like to can go fishing in the river (two fishing rods can be provided on request). Some bicycles are also available for use free of charge. There is a parking space on site. In another annex there is a hobby room with table football and a table tennis table, to which guests have free access. The site has a private church and an ancient wine cellar, which guests are welcome to visit on request (guided tour). From June to September (opening times of the pool) it is only possible to rent the whole house (for 14 people). During the other months of the year, the first floor can be rented separately (for six people), or together with the annex (eight people). The estate is located about 70km from Florence airport (40 minutes by train from Arezzo to the main station in Florence). Siena is 70km away, Arezz0 18km. In the village of Capolona 5km away you can find shops, supermarkets, a pharmacy, a bank, a post office and restaurants. Rassina is 3km away and has a supermarket, a pharmacy, a bank, a post office and a restaurant. The ancient village of Pieve Socana is 1.5km away. Here you can find a small supermarket (fresh bread including on Sundays), a small restaurant and a pizzeria.

Annex: on the ground floor there are a guest bathroom, a living room with a sofa and dining table, a kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, fridge and stove with four rings. On the upper floor there is a bedroom with a panoramic view and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
