Beautiful little apartment in a small town
The apartment was small, but it had everything we needed. The yard and the terrasse are beautiful and great for eating, and chilling in the morning and evening. Sivas is a small town in the hills, but it surprisingly has enough restaurants, cafes and small shops for you to get most of what you needthere is definitely some effort needed to get to other places, but it is definitely not a bad location to stay in and plan trips. Even sweeter than the tow. and the apartment are the hostsmaria and michaelis, who brought us fresh fruits and were always reacgable. We really enjoyed our stay!

Oasis of tranquility
I had the most beautiful time, what a poetic and peaceful place to spend the most precious weeks of the year! The hosts are warm and welcoming, even though it was my first time there, it felt like coming home. I'll never forget this vacation and hope that I'll be able to come back soon. Ruhe, Erholung im Horiatiko spiti
Wir waren sxhon einmal letztes Jahr bei Maria und Michaelis, sie sind hervorragende Gastgeber. Immer da, wenn man sie braucht, sehr lieb und ihr Haus ist sehr gepflegt. Man schläft sehr gut, das Haus liegt so, dass man alles im Ort erreichen kann..wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Sehr schön, gerne wieder!
Sehr schönes, kleines Apartment in einem liebevoll restaurierten Anwesen von 1903 mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt, in der kleinen Küche mit allen erforderlichen Utensilien immer wieder gerne gekocht und im wunderschönen Innenhof bei traumhaftem Wetter gegessen und schöne Abende verbracht (jedes Apartment hat einen eigenen Bereich). Im Ort gibt es gute Gastronomie, zu den Stränden ist es mit dem Auto nicht weit und die Vermieter sind super aufmerksam, herzlich und gastfreundlich. Immer wieder haben wir frische, kulinarische Leckereien direkt aus ihrem Garten geschenkt bekommen. Und auch der Tipp für einen Tagesausflug war ein echtes Highlight. Fazit: toller Urlaub, jederzeit gerne wieder!

Erstklassiges Appartement in schöner Lage
Das Appartementhaus ist in dem kleinen Ort Sivas im Süden von Kreta gelegen. Ein sehr sauberes Appartement mit einer wunderbaren Terasse/Balkon. Die Vermieter sind wunderbare Menschen, die auch gerne mal frische datteln vom Baum nebenan vorbei bringen. Es hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Es ist ruhig, wunderbar gelegen und lädt ein wieder zu kommen. Einen Mietwagen zu haben ist allerdings sehr von Vorteil ;)

Schöner Urlaub in Sivas
Eine schön gelegene Wohnung in einem ganz hübschen Innenhof, mitten in dem kleinen Ort. Sehr nette, hilfsbereite und gastfreundliche Vermieter, gute Ausstattung (ein Geschirrhandtuch wär noch gut) der Wohnung. Um hin und herzukommen, braucht man ein Auto. Das Schlafzimmer ist ein Durchgangszimmer. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen.

Very Disappointed
The apartment we were given had windows that opened on to a narrow dusty village road, making it impossible to keep the windows open due to dust and noise coming in with each passing motorcycle, car, tractors. We were woken up almost every night by motorcycles passing and people talking in the street. There were no black out curtains, so it was impossible to sleep past sunrise and even at night too much light came in from the streetlight. The toilet block is very small with only room for one person at a time, small shower with a old plastic shower curtain, that given the fact we booked for two and half months, I would have thought they would at least give a fresh shower curtain. The experience probably would have been different if we had another room, but the host would not let us see other rooms on first night and later proposed another location next door, with larger space but torn window screens BUT for €20 more per night and a condition that we would have to move back into the apartment we did not like for two weeks in the middle of our stay. The appliances in the apartment were old. While we were there the stove short circuited and the floor fan stopped working, they were both replaced, but the host tried to imply that we were at fault, saying "this never happens to anyone else". During our two and a half months there was no house keeping at all. The hosts only delivered fresh sheets and towels on a regular basis, but no cleaning. There is very little privacy here. The apartments all face a small central courtyard and if we sit at the small table at the front door, we are exposed to all of the people coming and going. Mosquitoes many & agressive. Sitting outside is also a problem because of the mosquitoes, which are many due to the standing water in the drip trays of the many large potted plants frequently watered by the hosts. Speaking of the hosts, they live in the compound, so we were essentially living in their home. Conclusion : if you are looking for peace and quiet and privacy this is not the place.

Wunderbarer, erholsamer Urlaub
Wir verbrachten zwei wunderbare Wochen bei Maria und Michalis in Sivas. Die Anlage und das Apartment waren sehr sauber, gepflegt und gemütlich. Wir haben uns bei Maria und Michalis sehr wohl gefühlt, die Beiden überraschten uns jeden Tag mit Kleinigkeiten und der Austausch mit ihnen war sehr wertvoll. Wir denken oft an die wunderbare Zeit zurück, und wer kein Massentourismus erleben will und individuell reist, ist hier perfekt aufgehoben. Wir kommen definitiv wieder :-)

casa deliziosa, atmosfera di famiglia
la casa è situata nel tranquillo paese di Sivas, a pochi chilometri da diverse e bellissime spiagge. Lo studios è attrezzatissimo, molto accogliente, pulito e fresco , con una terrazza da cui si gode di vista stupenda e con un giardino veramente rigoglioso e molto ben tenuto. Maria e Michalis, i proprietari, sono persone di rara gentilezza e affabilità. Vi faranno quotidiani, piccoli e graditi doni di prodotti della loro terra e saranno disponibili per ogni vostra necessità. Da segnalare la possibilità di acquistare dai proprietari il loro olio extra vergine di oliva (ve ne faranno trovare una bottiglia per il vostro uso durante le vacanze). Lo consigliamo vivamente ...noi ci siamo tornati con piacere !!!

Wir kommen wieder!
Nachdem wir schon viele Male unseren Urlaub auf dieser schönen Insel verbracht haben, sind wir im letzten Jahr zum ersten Mal bei Maria und Michalis gelandet. Einfach wunderbar! 5 sehr gepflegte und bestens ausgestattete Appartments stehen zur Verfügung. Verschiedene private Sitzplätze und ein herrlicher Innenhof mit zahlreichen mediterranen Kräutern und Blumen laden zum Verweilen ein. Aber das aller Schönste, sind die Gastgeber selbst, die man mit ihrer freundlichen und aufrichtigen Gastfreundschaft sofort ins Herz schließt! Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

Kreischen Lebensgefühl uneingeschränkt!
Ein Kreta Urlaub ohne Maria und Michaels ist für uns nicht vorstellbar. Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit Blick auf Messaraebene und Ida Gebirge. Sehr saubere Zimmer, welche alle eine wundervolle Trasse besitzen. Der ursprüngliche Innenhof läßt jeden Morgen schön beginnen.....ich kann gerade riechen. Vielen Dank für Eure Gastfreundschaft ;)

Die Studios und Apartments von Maria & Michalis sind uneingeschränkt weiter zu empfehlen. Wer Ruhe, Weite, Licht, Geräumigkeit und Komfort sucht ist in Horiatiko Spiti genau richtig. Immer wieder traumhaft
Auch wir sind "Wiederholungstäter" - wie schon einige Verfasser zuvor. wunderschöner, erholsamer Urlaub
Wie schon beim letzten Mal haben wir bei Maria und Michalis einen wunderschönen und erholsamen Urlaub geniessen dürfen. Die Beiden sind warmherzig, einfühlsam und sehr großzügig. Mein Mann und ich haben in den Beiden eher Freunde und Seelenverwandte gefunden. Wir haben dieses mal in der oberen Wohnung für drei Wochen wohnen dürfen. Jeden Morgen, direkt bei der ersten Tasse Kaffee haben wir den Ausblick auf das Dorf genossen. Viele von den Gästen kommen wieder nachdem sie einmal im Horatiko Spiti waren. All das spricht für sich. Wir kommen immer wieder!
Wir waren bereits mehrfach bei Maria und Michalis und hatten jedes Mal wieder das Gefühl, nach Hause zu kommen. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und die ganze Zeit über sehr verwöhnt. Die Studios sind tip top gepflegt und sauber. Die Fotos des Innenhofes mit den vielen Pflanzen entsprechen völlig der Realität. Wir waren jedes Mal sehr traurig, wieder abreisen zu müssen!

Erneut: ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt
Dies war mein dritter Aufenthalt bei Maria & Michalis in Sivas. Und er ist genauso erholsam gewesen wie die übrigen auch. Freundlich, großzügig, unkompliziert - so nur kann ich die Gastfreundschaft von Maria und Michalis Kassoti beschreiben. Die Ausstattung der Appartments (ich kenne jetzt drei von fünf!) lässt keine Wünsche offen, ist so behaglich wie funktional (vor allem: zuverlässig funktionierend) und lädt wirklich ein, sich wohl zu fühlen. Ein Auto lässt sich mühelos am Flughafen buchen, von Sivas aus lassen sich damit Ausflüge zu vielen unterschiedlichen und sehr schönen Buchten, Stränden und Wandergegenden machen und wenn eine mal keine Lust hat, das Auto zu nehmen, gibt es einige schöne Spazierwege direkt vor der Haustür. Wer im Urlaub Wert auf eine echte und dabei keine Professionalität vermissende Gastfreundschaft legt, dem oder der empfehle ich einen Besuch von Horiatiko Spiti aufrichtig.

„Ευχαριστώ!“ Maria & Michalis!
Der Begeisterung der vorherigen Bewertungen können wir uns nur voll und ganz anschließen. Noch nie haben wir uns bei unseren Gastgebern so wohl gefühlt, wie bei Maria und Michalis. Die beiden sind so unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit, und das auf eine wirklich unaufdringliche Art und Weise. Da wir uns relativ kurzfristig zu dem Urlaub entschieden hatten, haben wir die erste Woche in einem Appartement im 1. Stock verbracht: einfach traumhaft auf der Terrasse mit Blick in die Ferne zu frühstücken oder den abendlichen Raki mit Michalis zu genießen. In der 2. Woche wohnten wir dann in einem der beiden ebenerdigen Studios: hier konnten wir uns gar nicht satt genug sehen an Weinreben, Blumenpracht, Limonenbaum und Kräutern satt; allesamt liebevoll gepflegt von M & M. Beide Unterkünfte absolut sauber und gepflegt und mit mehr als dem Notwendigen ausgestattet: Spüli, Zucker, Pfeffer, Salz und Waschpulver können getrost zu Hause gelassen werden! Nicht zu vergessen natürlich das leckere Bio-Olivenöl aus Michalis‘ eigener Herstellung, das in keinem Appartement fehlt! Sivas ist ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Ausflüge und Badmöglichkeiten in der näheren Umgebung - und Michalis hat immer noch den ein oder anderen Tipp, der zum Glück bisher in keinem Reiseführer erwähnt ist. Am Marktplatz im Dorfzentrum finden sich mehrere Lokale, 2 Minimarkets und ein kleiner Honig- (lecker!) und Käseladen. Die Bewohner sind ausnahmslos nett und zuvorkommend; nicht wundern, nach ein paar Tagen wird man schon allerorts begrüßt! Noch besticht der Sivas durch seinen nahezu ursprünglichen Charme und man kann sich nur wünschen, dass sich so schnell nichts daran ändert. Solange das so bleibt, kommen wir gerne wieder!

Great stay in the family- like circle
Quiet village in southern Crete where eveybody knows everybody provides excellet holiday accomodation in the studio with self-catering facility. The hospitality of the owners - family Kassoti, exceeds the standards and provides you with the feelings that you have visited the close relatives. If you want to relax from the city rush and charge you batteries, that is the place to go. Once you visit this resort, you will come back next year.

Besser geht wohl nicht, absolut empfehlenswert !!!
Wir haben eine super saubere Wohnung vorgefunden. Sehr freundlicher und netter Empfang von Maria und Michaelis. Insgesamt wird der Innenhof, wie auf dem Foto zu sehen ist, wie auch die Räumlichkeiten alles sehr sauber gehalten. Das ist wirklich hervorzuheben. Liebevoll ist die Gestaltung innen wie aussen. Man merkt, das das Ehepaar Kassoti nicht so sehr an die Einnahme des Mietpreises interessiert ist sondern von ganzem Herzen daran gelegen ist, das es ihren Mitern gut geht. Wir hatten eine Paterrewohnung gemietet und hatten bereits morgens ab 7 Uhr Sonne auf unserer Terasse, was wir als sehr angenehm empfunden haben. Ab circa 11 Uhr hatten wir es dann dort schattiger, was ebenfalls bei hohen Temperaturen angenehm ist. Die Fotos welche die Vermieter eingestellt haben sind wirklich realistisch. Schon mehrfach wurde hier in den Bewertungen auf die außergewöhnlich, freundliche, ja liebevolle Art von Maria und Michaelis hingewiesen. Ich war anfangs skeptisch, jedoch ist wirklich alles wahr. Mein Mann und ich haben bisher in keinem unserer Urlaube so viel Herzlichkeit und Entgegenkommen erfahren dürfen wir bei diesen Beiden. Wir sind um ein vielfaches immer wieder beschenkt worden. Die Beziehung zu den Beiden empfanden wir als ungemein bereichernd und haben den Kontakt immer genossen. Man kann aber selber entscheiden wieviel Kontakt man möchte, je nach belieben. Beide sind sehr angenehm abwartend, niemals aufdringlich. Maria wie auch Michaelis haben ein ungemein ansprechendes Wesen, eine gute, liebevolle Seele. Mit Wehmut sind wir nach 18 wunderschönen Tagen dort wieder abgereist. Doch soviel ist sicher. Wir kommen wieder. an dieser Stelle, nochamsl vielen Dank von Marlies und Michael. Weiteres: Einkausmöglichkeiten befinden sich in circa 1 Min. Fußweg auf dem Marktplatz. (dort sind auch vier Tavernen, und es lohnt sich dort essen zu gehen.) In dem kleinen Minimarket am Marktplatz gibt es eigentlich alles , was man so braucht. Ich hatte meinen Fön zu Hause vergessen und selbst dieses konnte ich dort erwerben. Brot wir im Minimarket verkauft, da es in Sivas keinen Bäcker gibt. Die Preise sind nicht höher als in einem großen Supermarkt, den man zum Beispiel in Mires finden kann ( circa 15-20 Min Fahrzeit, dort ist auch ein Lidlgeschäft). Wir haben es bevorzugt in griechischen Läden einzukaufen, denn die sind auch nicht teurer als Lidl. Preise für Gemüse und Obst der Saison sind wirklich günstig und absolut frisch. l

wonderfull greek hospitality
We were the second time with Maria and Michalis and it was like coming home. They have welcomed us like dear friends and often treats with little gifts like wonderfull oranges and olive oil of best quality. The direct contact with them makes a Greece vacation so much more personal. Also the advice to discover the area of ??Michalis were wonderful. We'll be back!
