perfect hide-out in the mountains

lovely house in the mountains of monchique nice pool, lots of sun during the day good view to the valley and the opposite mountains and Simon is a very helpfull representant of the owner

Eine wahre Perle unter den Ferienhäusern

Einsam am Berg gelegen mit umwerfenden Blick auf Monchique und die umliegenden Berge. Ausgestattet mit allem was es für einen gelungen Urlaub braucht, sauber und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir waren 2 Familien mit Kleinkindern und haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt. Den Kindern hat es insbesondere der Pool sehr angetan! Auch die Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs sind nach wenigen Autominuten gut zu erreichen. Der letzte Weg zum Haus ist allerdings nichts für allzu schwache Nerven, mit einem normalen Auto aber machbar. Wir können das Haus guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen!

Perfection!

The photos on here just don’t do this place justice - the beauty is out of this world! The views are incredible. We ate dinner out on the terrace most evenings looking out over the mountain - paradise! I travelled with my 16, 11 & 2 year old daughters, who absolutely loved it. They spent all their time in the fabulous pool and investigating the surrounding forest area. The wildlife was so exciting - eagles flying overhead, dragonflies, lizards, geckos and a frog even jumped in the pool on the last day- they LOVED it! :) You will definitely need a car to drive up the track to the house- it’s quite steep and bumpy, as the house is tucked away in the mountain. We can’t recommend this place enough and hope to return next year for longer!

Ferienhaus in Monchique

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus in hervorragender Lage mit toller Aussicht, selbst aus dem großen Pool. Die Ausstattung des Objektes ist sicherlich etwas älter, bietet aber sehr gute Voraussetzungen für einen gelungenen Urlaub.

Ein sehr schönes Haus, mitten im Wald etwas oberhalb von Monchique.Wir waren Ende September bis Mitte Oktober dort und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Simon, der Hauswart ist wirklich sehr nett und super zuverlässig. Auf jeden Fall volle 5 Sterne

Location Casa Limao Monchique.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans la maison, malgré que la maison pourrait être un peu plus moderne, nous avons eu tout ce dont nous avons eu besoin à disposition. Endroit paisible pour celui qui recherche le calme et la tranquilité tout en ayant un magasin à proximité (4 km), avec une magnifique et grande piscine avec une vu splendide sur le Monchique. Belle région pour celui qui aime la mer et les montagnes. Anthony,Sylvie et leurs 3 enfants ;)

Un petit paradis !!! Isolé mais prêt de tout, charmante maison rurale pour se reposer...

vous êtes accueilli par Simon et son épouse qui sont vraiment très charmants et dévoués !!! La maison se trouve sur la hauteurs de Monchique ( 5 minutes du centre ), on y accede par une piste ( praticable avec une voiture normale en faisant doucement ) c'est ce qui en fait tout le charme... Une fois à la maison, on a l'impression que rien ni personne ne viendra troubler votre tranquilité !!! Si cela vous plait vous pourrez passer votre séjour complétement nu sans aucun soucis !!! La piscine est tres belle avec une belle vue, elle est adaptée aux jeunes enfants... La terrasse devant la maison nous réserve tous les soirs un merveilleux couché de soleil, comme dans les films !!! les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, le salon et la salle à manger accueillants, la cuisine est fonctionnelle et bien équipée, seule la salle de bain est vraiment trop "rustique" mais très propre... Dehors on trouve tout, BBQ, transats, parasols, séchoirs, etc, etc... Je recommanderais vivement cette maison, et je suis prêt à y retourner !!!

Relaxing stay near Monchique

Lovely relaxing holiday far from the madding crowd!! Gorgeous pool and views from the mountain. Region fairly untouched by tourism so not your usual shops and amenities. Car essential. Property could be more modern but really didn’t bother us we had everything we needed including lots of linens. Excellent communication and welcome from caretaker/property manager. Would definitely come back!

Fijn huis op een prachtige locatie

We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad in dit huisje. Bij toeval hadden wij een auto gehuurd die wat hoger op de wielen stond, waardoor we gemakkelijk de hobbel weg naar het huisje konden nemen elke dag. Lage auto's zullen hier wat meer moeite mee hebben. De eerste week was het koud en konden we de openhaard, samen met de gaskachel, gebruiken om het warm te stoken. Er was genoeg hout op voorraad. Gelukkig werd het de tweede week mooi weer. We hebben heerlijk buiten gegeten en genoten van het mooie uitzicht. We hebben zelfs even kunnen genieten van het zwembad (ook al was die nog heel koud). Simon de beheerder was zo vriendelijk om op zondag avond toen het gas op was, nieuwe te komen brengen. De omgeving is prachtig en in de buurt kan je mooi wandelen. De zee is ongeveer 3 kwartier rijden, dus je rijdt niet even heen en weer. We hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad. Dank!

We were extremly suprised to discover this beautiful and charming place

21. - 28.5.2017 Liebe Hoerders! Eine wunderschöne Woche in Eurem wunderschönen Haus geht zu Ende – leider! Nun das erste mal nach 12 Jahren, vor denen wir zu Zweit alleine hier waren, mit Kindern :-) Die 3 haben sich keinen Moment gelangweilt und ausgiebig das Haus, den Garten und vor allem den Pool genossen! Ab und zu haben wir sie auch mal vom Pool und Garten wegbekommen, um an einem der beeindruckend schönen Atlantikstrände (Praia Arrifana, Monte Clerico, Casteleiro) mit meterhohen Wellen zu fahren … Auch wenn man insbesondere mit Kindern wegen der gefährlichen Strömungen etwas Vorsicht walten lassen muss... das haben unsere Kinder aber auch schnell selbst bemerkt. Und wenn man dann noch in einem der netten Strandlokale – oder auf der Terrasse der Casa Limao – sitzt, ist der Urlaub perfekt. Tausend Dank! Wir kommen wieder – und das nicht erst in 12 Jahren :-) St., R., L., S. Und J. aus Hamburg 13. - 20.8.2016 We came here with a group of 8 french friends. We knew that the house was a bit remote but we were extremly suprised to discover this beautiful and charming place. We experiened the beautiful view and the fact of being up in the mountains. Silence! The road to the house is not that challenging and is being part of the experience, I guess! Everything is provided and fully furnished, the pool is amazing! We enjoyed playing volley ball and spending the time on the sunbeds! The area of Monchique is ideal to spend the time far from the touristic zone such as Faro or Portimao. We discovered a lot of restaurants, very local... Nice house, nice place, nice food, nice area, nice country! Heilzame rust en fantastische vakantie gehad

Beste familie, Wij willen wij u danken voor de fijne week die wij met zijn tweetjes hebben mogen beleven in uw huis casa Limao. Het huis en de tuin waren keurig verzorgd en nog mooier dan we hadden gedroomd. We hebben enorm genoten van de rust en de natuur rondom het huis. Heilzame rust die hij bij uw huis heeft mogen ervaren. We hebben echt een fantastische vakantie gehad en waren ook vriendelijk ontvangen. Nogmaals hartelijk dank! Met vriendelijke groet , A. & P.

"Magnifique lieu de vacan...

"Magnifique lieu de vacances, maison rustique, dépaysante, completement isolée... Belle piscine (un peu froide mi septembre... ), vegetation exceptionelle (citronnier, figuiers, palmiers eucalyptus ...). Toutes commodités à 5 mn en voiture. Seul problême, le chemin d''accès chaotique (prevoir une voiture assez surelevée)."

"Gite de montagne rustique, pas luxueux mais correct, bien frais lors des grosses chaleurs.Très bien situé pour la visite complète des Algarves. Parfait pour les amateurs de la nature et du dépaysement. Seul petit bémol, l''accès au gite (prévoir un 4x4!!) Félicitations au propriétaire pour les échanges, l''accueil et la confiance. "
