Everything was wonderful & we would definitely go back.Marilyn, Lance, Rocky, Luna & Zeus were all very welcoming & the suite comes with everything you'd need.Little touches like breakfast items such as English muffins, jams, jellies, butter, juice, coffee, creamers, tea, sugar etc.Easy access to all the beaches, Wild Pacific Trails around Ucluelet & within walking distance to the villageThe only thing to know, is this suite has 2 other rental cottages on the property in close proximity (in front & on both sides), which the listing does not indicate. Meaning you’ll see people walking by. Although, you still have a fair amount of privacy unless you’re actually sitting on the deck but don’t let that deter you. It’s a great place to call home
I stayed here for a little solo getaway and the suite was the perfect affordable option. Close droving distance to the trailheads and exciting storm watching.
A great view from the unit with a nice gas fire place to keep us cozy on the cool evenings. Nice comfy bed and linens.
Can walk to other areas and well located. Would like to return again in summer.
Wonderful to hear sea lions everyday and see a couple of eagles up on a tree from the hot tub. So peaceful and relaxing to stay at this suite. Highly recommended!
What a comfy place to stay to have both privacy and convenience in Ucluelet. Lance was a charming host, available but not intrusive. Would stay there again without a doubt. Can’t believe we could see sea lions from the living room! Thanks
Myself, my partner and our dog stayed two nights in the suite while attending a wedding in ukee. The suite was very comfortable and private, with everything we needed. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast supplies and loved a soak in the private hot tub. There is a beautiful view of the harbor from every window, we never turned the TV on because there was lots of activity to watch in the harbor right from the comfortable couches. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this spot to a friend. Thank you Marilyn for having us, we would happily return some day! Something to note for pet owners; there are some additional pet rules posted on a note in the suite that I did not find in the VRBO listing prior to booking, including no pets left unattended. Wasn't a problem for us in March when our pup could hang out in the vehicle during the wedding festivities, but worth mentioning for travellers visiting during warmer seasons if you have some non-pet friendly activities planned. Thanks again! :)
4 night stay in September. This was an amazing vacation, the bio is exactly what you get. All amenities are within walking distance as well as hikes and some of the beaches. The accommodations were very clean and organized, there were even a few unexpected touches of a few breakfast foods supplied. The hot tub was clean and a nice way to spend after a hike. All in all I couldn’t have asked for anything more and would highly recommend this rental to anyone traveling too the area.
We enjoyed our stay. Host Marilyn was great and provided some nice breakfast items. Close to the happening town of Ucluelet and peaceful. Hot tub a nice treat too watching boats go in and out. Had all we needed. Thanks! The 7 eagles were a real bonus too.
Check in was super easy and host was easy to reach. Friendly and quiet couple as hosts. Loved the stocked breakfast items, super handy! Really comfy bed in the suite and loved the hot tub! Beautiful little beach and only 10 minute walk to great places to eat on the water! I’d come again for sure!
Really enjoyed our time at Anchors Inn . Well appointed and comfortable suite close to town centre with very welcoming hosts. Perfect place to chill and explore the area.
Perfect place. Great view. Hot tub with amazing view. Porch with amazing view. Responsive host. Respected privacy. Great.

About the host
Hosted by Marilyn McEwen & Lance Blackwell
We moved here to Ucluelet from Vancouver in 1997, and added the one-bedroom suite in 2007.
Why they chose this property
We loved the idea of a waterfront property, having lived on a floathome in Vancouver for 11 years prior to moving here. The half acre property allows us to maintain privacy for ourselves & our guests. The West Coast of Vancouver Island has a rugged beauty that is unmatched anywhere else in B.C.
What makes this property unique
There is always something to watch on the waterfront -- fishboats coming & going, sea lions frolicking, bald eagles fishing, kayakers meandering by.
