About this home: Cottage-style, two-story 3-bedroom, 2-bath home sits in a nice, quiet community - just a bike ride to the beach! Great area for kids!!! The development is along the Assawoman canal with direct access and a boat ramp. Fish and crab in the bays north and south! Unit includes bicycles and 4 kayaks!
Master bedroom is on the first level as well as the eat-in kitchen and open living room. Just up the stairs are two large additional bedrooms and a bright full bathroom. This is an end unit with a large shaded deck and lots of privacy.

Includes use of 8 bicycles, 4 kayaks, beach chairs, beach toys!

Central air conditioning, well-equipped kitchen, washer, dryer-all new appliances . Parking: 3, under the house.

Amazing stay

I love everything about this place. The location, the decor, the amenities...Definitely great for family and friends. We love having bikes and beach equipment available for us. It is such a lovely touch. The only thing I noticed is the house moves a little bit since it is a stilt house. I am not used to it and thought there is an earthquake, haha. Otherwise, we have all amazing things to say, and the owner of the house is awesome and very helpful.

Beach stay with the masses.

The house was clean and quiet. The bikes were rusted beyond use and the kayaks were full of spiders, mosquitoes and not near the water. So we were unable to use either.

We rented this lovely home for a wedding week end and stayed for a whole week!! The house was immaculate , equipped very well and included toiletries, cleaning supplies and other items (linens, towels) not typically included in other beach rentals. LOVED the bikes, neighborhood was quiet and provided shade during the warmest part of the day. To be redundant, Dave, the owner, was responsive, always available and extremely helpful

Wonderful

There was a problem with the air conditioning. I contacted the owner and he handled it immediately! That was more impressive since he was in France! The place was clean, quiet and close enough to everything to be fun and away enough to be relaxing!

Clean and comfortable

This was our first time at Bethany Beach and overall this property made for a comfortable stay. The house was clean and we made use of the deck and grill daily. It was also convenient to have use of bikes and kayaks. We only biked the small development which sits off a busier road with no bike lane. The walk to the beach was too far for use so we drove most days. Thanks for a great stay Dave!

Just what we needed...

We were happy to find this property for a few nights. My husband, my daughter, a few college friends, and me found plenty of room in this three bedroom home. And having a master suite downstairs and the additional two rooms upstairs gave us all the privacy we needed. The kitchen is well stocked with everything, including pots, pans, a blender, and cookie sheets. Pretty easy to get to the beach: my husband would drop the beach stuff off with me in the morning and he (and later the girls) biked over. If you're a walker like me, there's a walkable neighborhood across the street from the property's entrance (Black Gum Dr.). Having canoes, as well as access to the canal steps away, was a bonus -- something different to do on vacation. I recommend this property to families with kids of all ages.

Great location, good for large families

We loved our stay! Six minute drive to Bethany Beach Boardwalk, we made good use of the provided beach chairs. Also had fun kayaking in the nearby canal. Friendly, quiet neighborhood with some good places to walk dogs. One note - the front door doesn’t lock from the inside. We have little ones so we blocked them from opening the door by dragging a chair over to it. We didn’t take the trolley but there was a stop in the next neighborhood over. Lots of bikes included, so this would also be great for a group of friends in their 30s who are want to be close to the beach but don’t want to be around loud parties.

Amazing owners!

We loved this house and it's location. We have stayed at several Home Away homes and I have to say the owners of this house were just amazing. The owners checked in with us through out our stay just to see if we needed anything. There were a few extremely minor issues that were promptly resolved no matter the hour of the day. The house was well stocked and the bikes, chairs and kayaks the owners supplied were fantastic. It was a 10-15 minute bike ride to Bethany Beach or a quick ride in the car. We ended up driving to Fenwick State park several times because of the great facilities, life guards and great waves! We really enjoyed kayaking the canal and seeing the jellyfish and crabs while we paddling along. We will definitely be back to this house

Nice location, comfortable, very clean

Dave and Irina were great from the minute we booked this cute, very clean cottage. Dave was very easy to contact with quick response to any questions. The cottage is in a very nice community within an easy bike ride to Bethany Beach. Easy kayaking in a nice canal next to the community. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need--including many spices. The appliances are new--refrigerator is amazing. Our family of 6 adults plus an adult friend had more than enough room. Loved the wrap around deck/porch for morning coffee and breakfast. The grill was great. No problem with parking our 3 vehicles. If we make another visit to Bethany Beach, we will definitely contact Dave and Irina again.

Bahasmas Beach Cottage Getaway!

We had an AWESOME vacation in Bethany staying in this home! The house is clean, has a great layout for families, and comes with everything one would need! Dave, the owner is super! He was very responsive to any questions we may have had and went out of his way throughout our stay to check in to make sure our needs were met and also recommended things to see and do during our stay. The house is tucked away in a nice quiet community where the neighbors are very friendly and welcoming. The house comes with 8 bikes which we used EVERYDAY to bike to the beach and into town (quick easy ride)! As well as two kayaks that we used everyday in the back creek that we launched right in the neighborhood. The outdoor shower and outdoor space was enjoyed by everyone in our family! We look forward to returning to Dave's home soon! Bethany and Bahamas Beach Cottages is a special place!

Why they chose this property

Quiet and peaceful yet close to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants and shops. Everything is a short bicycle ride away but you have the seclusion and safety of a small, private development. For kayaking and small boating enthusiasts, the development borders the Assawoman canal and has a boat launch. The canal has been dredged and you can reach the bays both north and south. Excellent crabbing and fishing! There is also a large Wildlife sanctuary you can boat and by foot.

What makes this property unique

Our house is very private , quiet and relaxing. The beach and downtown Bethany are just a short bike ride away. We include 6 adult size bicycles for your use. Our development also adjoins the canal which connects bays north and south. Two kayaks are provided to explore the beautiful waterways and the large adjoining wildlife areas.
