Pleasant stay in Hermosa.

My family enjoyed the Hermosa house although we didn't spend a lot of time there, it had everything we needed. We found the layout of the place great for the four of us. The beds were very comfortable. Although there is no air conditioning and the weekend was extremely hot, the place was cool and comfortable for sleeping at night with ceiling fans and a wonderful breeze from the ocean. We also liked having the patio with table and chairs and enjoyed relaxing there in the evening. The owner/manager was very attentive in answering questions. We really liked the app that gave us information about the rental. (we did find that there was different information on the paperwork at the house regarding check in/check out times.) We also felt that the home was a great value. It was about 10 blocks from the main entertainment area of Hermosa, but also very close to the beach- just one house away!

Summer 2014

The listing description is pretty accurate. We stayed in the first floor unit. This unit is pretty small so 4 people at most in this unit by itself. The unit above is larger. It was very clean and well maintained. The property is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It's close to both Redondo and Hermosa piers. It's very easy to get to the beach - it literally takes 2 minutes from door to sand. The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed which made things very nice. We brought our dog and he enjoyed our many walks on the Strand, as did I. The only thing I'd make a note of is that the property is located on Hermosa Avenue, which is a well-travelled road. Judi was very easy to work with and accommodated our last minute request to leave a little later than we had originally agreed to. That was really awesome!

Great house

The location is fantastic. It's less than a block from the beach, and easy walking access to many shops and restaurants. The layout of the home is perfect. We slept two adults and 4 children very comfortably. It's well maintained, and when we did have what we thought was an issue with a window they responded immediately. We highly recommend it, and would definitely go back.

amazing location

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is unbeatable. Steps away from Hermosa Beach. The house itself is cozy and comfortable. The pictures and description on the website are very true to the actual experience of the home. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a 2 bdrm 1 bath house in this area.

Visit to Hermosa Beach

Great little beach cottage, only reason it is not five stars as it was not directly on the strand. Other than that it was a great location, close to shops, restaurants and of course the strand. The outdoor area was great and very private. Judi was great to work with and the house had everything we needed. Hope to be back again in the fall!

Fun 5 days by the Ocean

We really enjoyed this well furnished and clean apartment. The location is just a few minutes from the beach and there is lots to do very close by. The only drawback is the traffic noise as it is located on a bigger city street. Having a parking spot in the garage was wonderful and so was the free parking available on the street. Since we had two cars we were able to use it without a problem. Judi, the manager took great care of things and even had a bottle of wine waiting for us. That was a nice touch. We would highly recommend this place and hope to return some day.

Perfect Beach Cottage

Perfect February Vacation; second visit even better!

Our second visit to this fabulous, 2 bd, full kitchen getaway was even better! Practically on the beach, surrounded by restaurants! Kids loved bodysurfing and we saw a whale, surfing sea lions and dolphins, friendly life guards. Early morning walks on the beach were perfect! Loved the outdoor shower in the private patio to rinse everyone clean. Very clean house, BBQ, all amenities provided, great beach décor, boogie boards, beach chairs, high chair, ice chest available. We drove to Disneyland and La Brea Tar Pits, close to so many attractions. Looking forward to visiting again next year! Thank you so much!

Great stay in Hermosa Beach Condo!

Our stay in Hermosa beach in this condo was great. We stayed in the lower portion of the condo for four nights. There were four of us in a two bedroom which was perfect for our needs. The living room/dining room did not feel too small. The kitchen is a little small for more than two people at a time, but has everything you need to cook at home and keep things cold! The condo is literally a block from the strand/beach. I ran every morning along the strand which was awesome. A little warmer than I'm used to, but you can't beat the view. There are plenty of volleyball nets and lots of beach to play on. The condo has boogie boards which we used and found to be entertaining. Beach day was definitely less busy on Thursday, more busy on Friday and super busy on Saturday. Glad we were there for a portion of the week. The garage was great for our small car (still a tight fit). The patio is great if you choose to use it (we didn't). The condo was clean upon arrival. Plenty of beach and shower towels which was great for our needs. Seemed we all needed to shower almost twice a day! Also, near the pier which was about a 7 minute walk and had tons of restaurants to choose from. The condo is right next door to a deli/convenience store which we frequented. Overall, great stay and great location. Would definitely stay again!

Three weeks in Hermosa

We really enjoyed the house, it was very comfortable and more spacious than we expected. We brought bikes and rode to the pier every morning for Starbucks or Paradise bowls. My daughter was there for several beach tournaments which was very convenient! We had two cars, one fit in the garage and the other we parked on the street with the parking pass. We only had trouble parking on the 4th of July. Judi was great to work with, the house had everything we needed and a clean gas grill on the patio. Great location!

Couple of Days in Hermosa!

Last minute decision to rent a house as close as possible without breaking the bank... so glad we did! The house is literally a 20 second walk from the patio/porch area to toes in the sand at 1st street, right by swingsets, sand volleyball, and as others mentioned 15-20min walk to the pier and all the awesome restaurants and night life. We rented the lower property and was perfect for the 3 of us. Very clean... Judi set us up with a parking pass, but the jeep grand Cherokee fit (very tight) in the garage. Parking is the only challenge... but that is city wide for obvious reasons. Would definitely look to rent this place again, absolutely priced right and Judi was a pleasure to work with... thanks!!

Soooooo Close to the Beach!

Your apartment is so well appointed and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to cook occasional dinner meals. Although the short walk to great restaurants like the Hook & Plow meant we mostly ate out. The house was clean, tidy and we felt right at home there just like locals. We had a blast and great weather!

weekend getaway

Judi, We absolutely loved the property and the location was perfect for us... It was a 10-15 minute walk to the Hermosa pier, but we were fine with it because we loved walking on the strand... The house was clean, nice and the fully equipped kitchen was a plus... We cooked all our meals and enjoyed the 1min. walk to the beach... My kids loved everything about the place and were really sad we had to leave... We have no complaints about the property because it was more than what we expected... If I did have a complaint, it would've been the rain that ruined our Saturday plans, but even so we entertained ourselves by staying in to watch the Pats vs Rav and Sea vs Pan game, which made up for the weather outside... If anyone is looking to stay in Hermosa, look no further, this property is a must and we would totally comeback when we do come back to Hermosa... Thanks Judi!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

I get together with my cousins every year on Memorial Day weekend and rent a beach house in Hermosa. I have rented properties from Judi several times in the past, and she is always a pleasure to work with. For this year's property, I rented both the upper and lower unit of this duplex and was thoroughly satisfied. The location is practically on the beach, and Judi provides beach towels, chairs, and boogie boards to enjoy on the beach. Mickey's deli is next door, and I loved their Italian sandwich and their pizza. The large patio is great for BBQ'ing. The upper unit has an open and spacious living room where we all watched the NBA playoffs during the weekend. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and clean, and Judi provides more than enough towels and toiletries. There are two garage parking spaces and two street parking passes which allowed us to park our vehicles and forget about them for the weekend. Ceiling fans in every room kept us cool during the afternoons. I highly recommend renting both levels of this property, and you will not be disappointed with Judi's service!

Christmas Vacation

We absolutely loved this place. The location is great. The furnishings were perfect for 3 of us. No surprises. The landlord is very easy to work with and responded quickly to anything we asked her about. Hermosa Beach is a great place to relax and just be. I would definitely stay here again and refer to other family members.

Christmas Vacation

Everything was as advertised. Lots of little things provided n kitchen. Quick response to minor tub issue. Loved the patio and walking distance to beach and piers. Perfect for 3 of us.
