Boyer winter tradition
Used this cabin at least five times to get together with daughter and her three boys over the winter break. We all enjoy the comfort and cleanliness of the place. Great location for sledding and allowed all three boys to ski at the same time.

Highly functional for family
We greatly enjoyed our stay with 3 generations of family. The main great room is perfect for games and socializing, with the bedrooms around its perimeter on one level. The location is also quiet and convenient -- don't forget to hike the forest trail about a block away.

A Family Tradition
We love our family getaways at the cabin---it's a semi-annual tradition. It provides the perfect combination of togetherness, while also affording space to spread out. As a family who loves to hike, we enjoy what it has to offer during the warmer months with beautiful trails just a short walk from the cabin. We also love what the winter months offer with all of the fun snow activities. The cabin is cozy, clean and has all of the amenities one would hope for. It is well maintained and has a dreamy layout. The washer and dryer in a separate laundry room is a definite plus. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view of the mountains and ski resort. The host is a gem to communicate with and really makes you feel so welcomed.

Beautiful and Cozy Cabin
We loved our Thanksgiving stay in this cabin. Everything was perfect and magical from the moment we stepped through the door. Holiday lights and tree welcomed us when we got there. The space was perfect and welcoming. We loved building a fire and playing games with a gorgeous view. We also loved hiking around the property. The host had everything we needed at the property. We hope to go back again!!

Great Stay at Moonridge
This was our second year stay for a month each time at the Moonridge Cabin. We love its location away from the crowds and easy to get to. It is a very well equipped cabin with a well stocked kitchen. The management team is very responsive and goes out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. The owner is extremely accommodating and responds quickly to all questions. Be aware that the cabin is built on a hillside and there are 15 steps up to the front door. There are no steps once you are inside the cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone who can handle the stairs.

Spring break
You can’t beat this location. It is within walking distance of fun sledding and bear mountain if you want to go skiing/snowboarding. It is a short 5-10 minute drive to restaurants and retail shopping. The amenities were perfect and property manager and host were very responsive with any questions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Big Bear.

Our Favorite Mountain Home Away From Home
This is our favorite cabin to escape to. This is the 5th time I believe that we've stayed there now. We had some family stay with us this time and they had nothing but great things to say about it. The location is so amazing and the cabin itself is roomy yet still has a closeness to it. The layout is perfect. The host is wonderful to work with. We love it and think you will too.

Great location, great layout
We had a wonderful stay at this Moonridge cabin. Loved the single floor layout for young kids and the raised fireplace which was out of reach of my 1 year old niece! The trailhead right in the neighborhood offers great hiking. Wish there was snow but we had an amazing time nonetheless. Only complaint is the master bedroom mattress was pretty uncomfortable. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Lovely Thanksgiving in Moonridge
We spent a wonderful week with our family of 5 at this cabin in Moonridge over Thanksgiving. The location is perfect. It's on a quiet residential street just a two minute walk from some really nice hiking trails. It was clean, spacious, very well-stocked with supplies (paper products, cleaning products, dish soap, toiletries, you name it). The kitchen was a great size for cooking our Thanksgiving meal. In the evenings, we took advantage of the huge comfortable couch, fireplace, game closet and smart TV. We will definitely look for the opportunity to return to this property!

Our Favorite Mountain Home
This was our FOURTH time staying at this amazing home and we are planning on going back a 5th time next year again...if not sooner! We love this home. Our daughter literally talks about returning, about 360 days of the year. The day we left, she was already asking to go back. It is spacious so everyone can have some space if needed, but also has such a warm, cozy, closeness vibe that it is the perfect place for a family to stay. We are a hiking family and love that a gorgeous trail is just a short jaunt up the street. It's a quick drive to grocery stores and restaurants, but away from the bustle of the town. We love the layout of the home and kitchen that opens to the living space. The full laundry room is such a plus! One of my favorite things about the home is the front patio area. I love to just sit and listen to the quiet with maybe an occasional bird chirping. The peacefulness I feel when I sit out there is like no other. Just sitting and being surrounded by the gorgeous pines is so relaxing. It's really the perfect place. The owner is amazing to communicate with which makes staying there even more amazing. We can't say enough great things about this home and everything about it. It's a dream.

Nice home with all the amenities.
Stairs at entrance were a bit much. At seven thousand feet you feel it after 3 or 4 consecutive trips. We supplied cushions for wooden dining room chairs and placemats for wood table. Refrigerator was small and located adjacent to the kitchen. Having owned property in Moonridge it was the small things that made a four star rating applicable.

Great Mountain House in a quiet neighborhood
This mountain retreat is set up very well with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It has a large great room which contains the dining room, well equipped kitchen, and a large sitting/living room. Everything is on one floor but access to the house requires going up 10+ stairs. The owner and management team are excellent and quickly responded to any issues. We had a great time and enjoyed the house such that we have rented it again for a month next summer.

Great winter stay
Great property with fairly easy access to Bear Mountain. Property sits above the resort on some narrow winding neighborhoods. Great wintertime location in a great home. Easy walk to the resort with adults, maybe drop your kids off at the mountain. Property management was great to work with. We will plan on returning.

Growing up in Southern California made it easy for Big Bear Lake to become our favorite getaway. For years, our family has enjoyed all seasons in the mountains and we are now more than happy to share that joy with other travelers. Welcome to our home away from home!

Why they chose this property

Some years ago, we owned a property in this area of Moonridge and regretfully sold it because it was difficult to find the time to use it. This part of Big Bear Lake always felt so much like home to us. This prime location is secluded from the main flow of tourist, yet all the local attractions are still very much within reach. We were waiting for the right place, and it had to be here.

What makes this property unique

One of the selling points, aside from location, was the large front deck surrounded by tall pines and oak. It's the best spot to relax and BBQ in the summer. There is no through traffic on our looped street, which makes it very peaceful and quiet. Inside, the open concept floor plan adds volume to the living space where you can spend hours in the winter by the fireplace.
