Walk up a few steps to your private entrance to a large, spacious, airy, 580 sq.ft. Studio, furnished with a king bed flanked by elephant bamboo side tables, bamboo flooring, elephant bamboo armoire that holds a tv, a bistro sized table, leather love seat and chair with ottoman centered by a warm comfortable rug, breakfast table, and elegantly beautiful Hawaiian themed artwork on the walls and a cooling ceiling fan and trade winds.

***New AIR CONDITIONER!

The large bathroom/kitchen holds a granite breakfast bar with a small fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, induction hot plate, pots, plates, cups, utensils, and a stainless steel large sink.

Put your luggage, clothes and goods away in the spacious walk in closet.

The small lanai has an outdoor loveseat and side table to rest on, overlooking the pool area and the owner's eclectic surfboard fence.

There are lots linens, bath and beach towels available.

Washer/dryer available downstairs in pool area.

The Studio is on the second floor of the owner-occupied main house. The owners has a friendly 1 year old golden retriever mix dog that reside poolside by the main house. The dog is gated in the pool patio area and are not allowed to access the guest house grounds.

The Studio has windows covering two walls and sliding doors along the third wall which allows the trade winds to flow through, cooling the unit. It is a quiet neighborhood, and due to the openness of the Studio sound can travel easily in and out of it. You can close the windows and doors to keep your privacy.

We are family friendly; the Studio is perfect for quiet couples. Unfortunately, this Studio is not recommended for honeymooners or noisy late night conversations!

The property is located about 2-5 miles from the three 'Best Beaches' in the world, Kailua, Lanikai, and Waimanalo Beaches. Kailua is famous for its water sports and we have lots of toys to help you stay in the water. Beach chairs and a cooler are available for your enjoyment. You can also rent equipment like surfboards, kayaks, windsurfers, masks and snorkels, and kitesurfing, or take group or private lessons in these sports. Let us know how we can make your vacation the best ever!

***Studio is located on second floor, an easy gradual slope of stairs sided by gardenia bushes.

30 DAY MINIMUM - per 30 days, $175 daily beyond that period.

Great place to get some sleep
Was on a business trip and your property is exactly what I needed; a quiet place, comfortable bed, and a hot shower. The only reason I gave it only four stars was because I had no time to explore anywhere, and certainly not the fault of the listing.

Homey, stylish and great bed.
The studio was very comfortable and I felt at home. The bed with the 4 inch foam topper was great and I slept well. Nice to wake up to the birds tweeting and chirping. Lots of towels and comfortable seating. Lovely Hawaiian decor in roomy studio. Couple caveats: the lighting was very poor.....I had to purchase a 3-way bulb for one of the lamps in order to read in comfort. Despite claim in description of unit, there was no beach chair for me. "False" information in the binder about the free hula and music entertainment. It is only once a month and you should check online to get the dates. (I missed another opportunity in Waikiki due to the misinformation and was disappointed.) I would also suggest the hosts provide a roll of paper towels and a hand soap dispenser or travel size bar of soap and a pair of scissors. BTW, the "kitchen" side sink does not drain well. Next time I would probably look for a unit on ground level. All in all, despite the non-sunny weather, I enjoyed my visit to Kailua and O'ahu very much.

Really nice quiet neighborhood and nice studio unit
The owners were great and check in and out was easy. There’s a pool, bbq, and washer and dryer. The only thing that gives me pause is the cooking and sink are in the bathroom. We would stay here again.

Quiet place, 5 min drive to Kailua Beach
We had a nice stay in Arlene's & Josh's studio. They quickly respond to any question you might have. They also give you a lot of privacy. They live downstairs but we did not hear them at all. It's very quiet here and we loved sitting on the balcony. The balcony is small (with a small couch) but has a very wide view. The studio itself is airy and comfortable with a king size bed, dining table, couch, tv and has beautiful decorations. The combination kitchen-bathroom is practical, but a bit strange. There's a microwave, small oven, small fridge and one induction cooking plate. Enough appliances to cook your own meal, although you have to improvise a bit in the small kitchen. It's also a bit warm, but there are mobile fans/air cons you can use. It's only 5 minutes drive to the most beautiful beaches of Oahu, Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach. All in all a place we recommend.

Great stay!
I was quite nervous booking this stay, having never booked thru home away. The studio was great, clean and the most comfy bed I've ever slept on! Having a lanai and plenty of windows for breeze was great . The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star is the tiny black ants that liked the kitchen/bathroom area. We kept everything food wise in frig as suggested and counters cleaned off and still found the little guys thru out the stay. Loved the walk in closet, beach towels and chairs provided. One small suggestion, put a lamp on the table between chair and love seat. No good place to read in seating area , a little dark at night. Other than that we loved it. Careful on steps leading up to unit.

We had a great stay here in January 2017!
Everything was great here! Room was clean and comfy. Pool and deck was very nice too. We enjoyed being within a few minutes drive to town and beach, community was quiet so no troubles sleeping. Thanks for the stay!

Great rental
Had a nice experience in the rental. The bed and pillows were so very comfortable. We had everything we needed. We didn't do any cooking so unable to comment. We also didnt use the pool but it is nice and certainly available. We wanted a nice, clean and simple place to stay and we got it. Entrance and walk up to rental was my only concern, especially at night. The stairs can be troublesome for some. Although no air conditioning, the fans and the openness of the rental kept us comfortable. The residential area is nice as well. We felt at home. Would definitely recommend.

Great quiet relaxing studio
The rental was fabulous! Food and stores are close, as well as two of the best beaches on the island. Gear is provided for the beach including a cooler! The week we stayed the islands experienced record high temperatures due to no trade winds, so we did morning activities then stayed by the pool in the afternoon. The neighborhood was very quiet and relaxing which is what we wanted. We had our breakfasts in the rental and other meals out. The Kitchen area was great for this amount of prep. Josh and Arlene are great hosts and can answer any question you have. We'd definitely stay again if we come back to Oahu!

the perfect vacation
The rental sits above the city, it was tucked back in the neighborhood but a close enough drive to the beach, food and stores. I definitely would stay here again, the renter was easy to deal with and made sure we we're taken care of. Tv, fridge, microwave, fan, and the bed was super comfortable. The perfect vacation.

Very convenient location in fabulous Kailua
Josh and Arlene are very gracious hosts, and provide a well appointed lodging. The suburban environment is generally quiet, with only the usual neighborhood noises, which is to be expected. There were some minor maintenance issues ( all electrical sockets didn't work, power outlet strip to TV very intermittent, windows didn't appear to have been washed for a year or so, toilet paper holder poorly attached to wall, sliding screen door badly in need of lubrication), but overall, it was a very comfortable stay. Guests should be aware beforehand that the Kitchenette and bathroom are in the same room with a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster and toaster oven, and hot plate. It was a very hygenic setup. Arlene was very helpful in providing a few items we couldn't find ( can opener, mixing bowls).

Accomplished studio
I had stay with my wife and daughter (3year-old). It was very nice, clean and full-frills studio. We had took very nice time here. Thank you owner. I have few tips to other guests, there is not wash machine. Need to find launderette somewhere. And car is necessary, 3 minutes to Kailua town center, 5 minutes to Kailua beach, 7 minutes to Lanikai beach by car. However, It is recommended studio for guest seeking reasonable cleane one.

Very Nice Studio
Want to personally thank Josh and Arlene for a beautiful stay in their studio, it was clean and comfortable and I had a fantastic visit and would recommend a stay in their studio to anyone who wants to getaway with family or friends to enjoy Hawaii because it was so peaceful and they supplied everything you would need to have a fantastic vacation adventure!
