Had a great stay for our year end planning meeting. Everyone had private space but we were also able to use the common spaces to have our meeting and socialize.
We stayed here for a weekend as a friend group and WOW could have stayed another week! Brent was incredibly helpful and nice to work with, and this place is absolutely stunning. Great location, plenty of rooms and space, I will definitely be coming back!!
Some friends and I stayed here for a convention that was in town. The property was perfect for our needs and the DG express across the street was super convenient. Host was super responsive to a minor issue with the stove and one bedroom - fixed it immediately.
We celebrated a family birthday and the location was great for our family stay with many activities close by. Kitchen was very nice for making meals and serving a lot of family. The main room was very accommodating for the size of our group. The host was helpful and communicated proactively.
AMAZING!!! My daughter got married 2 blocks away. we had wedding photos at property and rehearsal on the roof top deck. this place was just so amazing... I wish I was able to take that antique table in the kitchen with me!!!!
Thank you Brent for an amazing weekend!!!!!
Photos don’t quite do justice to just how big the living quarters are. The location is fantastic with the street car right there, and the rooftop views and space were awesome.
Our family had a fantastic stay at this beautifully updated historic hotel! The spacious and soundproof layout made it perfect for our Christmas getaway, especially with a small child in tow. The thoughtful upgrades throughout the property were impressive, from the heated floors in the master suite (complete with two water closets!) to the working fireplace that added a cozy, festive ambiance. The sunroom and outdoor deck were serene spaces to relax, offering picturesque views and plenty of natural light. The location was absolutely fabulous—close to everything we needed, yet peaceful and private enough to feel like a true retreat.Despite the inconvenience of the elevator being out of service due to damage from previous guests, the property manager went above and beyond to assist us. He ensured the baby gate was secure, helped carry our luggage and coolers up the stairs, and even stocked coffee and creamer to make us feel at home. The soundproofing of the concrete floors and walls was exceptional. My daughter worried that her baby’s restless night might disturb the rest of us, but we didn’t hear a thing! It truly allowed us to unwind and enjoy every moment together. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a unique blend of modern comfort, historic charm, and a prime location. Just a small tip—pack house slippers, as the floors can be chilly. We can’t wait to visit again!
Great stay at the old Rieger Hotel. A unique property for sure! We stayed there with eight adults for a wedding and had a fabulous time. The property is very large and spread out, with a rooftop terrace, private parking, and best of all, a large centrally located kitchen with a very long table at which we spent many wonderful hours. Everyone somehow ended up at the table in the kitchen at different times of day and it ended up being a great social center point. Plenty of space and rooms for privacy if desired. Fantastic location in Kansas City, we did not need cars. Several restaurants, pubs, and coffeeshops within walking distance. And, the free Kansas City street car runs right by the property. The property manager, Brent, is great, and is always immediately available if need be. Highly recommend this property. We would definitely stay there again!
Even though you had an elevator it wasn’t easy to get to and there was to many steps for 60 year olds. It would have been nice for every bedroom to have a bathroom instead of having to share with others. Kitchen was fabulous and the property manager was always on call and came when we needed him.
Our family is from all out of state. We had 16 of us there!! The wedding was at the Everly! Walking distance! It was so much fun a very unique building!! We went in on Thursday eve to Mo day! A great place, everyone had a bed, we had seven bathrooms 7500 ft.² it was an absolute blast. Everyone loved it and our host was the greatest of all. He was very helpful and a lot of fun.
we had a group of 12 at the Rieger Hotel last weekend for 2 nights-it is an incredible property! Look up the history on this place it's quite interesting. Much of the interior is original from 1910-staircases etc..and is beautiful. Rooftop space faces South and the view is really cool. Huge kitchen table that seats at least 12. Super close to restaurants,Power and Light district and the free train.Convenience store across the street We loved our stay and would absolutely stay there again. The bedroom situation is interesting which added to the fun! The manager,Brent is a great guy and extremely accomodating-we had no issues. Garage could accept two cars and driveway area was ample for 4 more. Elevator ran perfectly-3 floors of cool is what this place is!

Bad Experience
Property was not ready for check in. It was a trash pit. It had a very dark, old hotel feel. We did not stay there went to a hotel. The property owner refunded our money but not the VRBO fee. Never got that back.
We always try to stay in a unique fun place. The Rieger was just that. With several group meeting areas. The living room was spacious with a lovely fireplace and plenty of seating. We had a beautiful Christmas tree. My grown children got to decorate it with all the childhood nostalgic ornaments. The kitchen and convent table were very unique.Oh and by the way there are not one but 2 kitchens The bedrooms were isolated so each of us had our own space. The rooftop was one of my favorite spaces. I sat there every morning early before the “gang “ got up. It’s all closed in and warm with a beautiful view.
We played games in both the living room and the rooftop. Literally 4 floors of uniqueness!!!!! There were 7 of us 6 adults and a baby. We had all the amenities we needed and to top it off, We had a wonderful host that met us there to give us a tour and share with us the history. Brent was very careful to explain everything and assured us that we could call if we needed anything at all.
Very unique place, walking distance to a few places and we really enjoyed our stay.
Air conditioning does not work. Service elevator marginally operational. This property DOES NOT SLEEP 16. It is a 4 bedroom place. Layout is great but upkeep and condition poor at best. Property was not ready when we arrived for check in. The place was dirty. A leaking roof caused all kinds of damage that was not fixed. Neglected property in a perfect location. The rooftop patio is amazing with breathtaking views. If you are looking for a place to stay in downtown KC for no more than 8 people and want to have a party on the roof…this is your place. But if you are looking at the pictures of a restored 5 star hotel and think you are renting this 7500 square foot industrial gem, your going to be disappointed. The couch is cheap and uncomfortable. The kitchen equipment and utensils are way sub-par. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING was provided for the stay in the way of soap, hand towels, paper towels, garbage cans, shampoo etc.. The bedding was second rate garage sale materials. The concrete floors, where multiple glass chards were found upon arrival, are dirty and not maintained. Based on the view and location, I give it two stars. Take away the rooftop deck and it would be somewhere around negative 5.
This place was perfect for our group of 10. It's newly renovated and looks amazing. Very spacious with multiple balconies and a rooftop with a great view of the city. Everything was clean and tidy and Brent was a pleasure to communicate with. We will definitely be staying here next time!
Place had everything we needed and was super close to power and light district (train stop was a block away). Convenience store right across the street for any small stuff we needed. Very cool rooftop with enclosed area for when it was too hot. Awesome place!
Had a good weekend with the boys and it couldn’t have been a better place to stay. The location alone is worth every penny! Management was excellent to work with and accommodations were as advertised!
