We want to make your vacation experience the best it can be! Welcome to our large two story home featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms with beautiful hardwood floors throughout. Enclosed outside shower, with hot water, is available to rinse off from those relaxing beach days. Bicycles, beach chairs, coolers, and everything you could possibly need to enjoy the beach are available for your use while you stay in our perfect island home. FIVE STARS PLUS

We stayed at this lovely home for one month. It was wonderful. The house is very nice and the deck to enjoy in the afternoons and evenings is an added attraction. The location is perfect to anything you wish to do on the island. The king size bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. But what really adds to the beauty of the property are the owners. We have stayed at numerous VRBO properties and Britt and Susan are the most accommodating we have experienced. They go over and above what one would expect.. Highly highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Simon Island

We had an amazing trip. The house was in a good location near the beach and downtown. You could walk anywhere. The house itself was beautiful and very spacious. The owners were super attentive and addressed any issue that came up. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Wonderful home in great location

My wife and I stayed with our two dogs for the week and the home was absolutely perfect for our needs. Great location with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Our hosts were just wonderful and very nice people. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to our next stay.

Perfect. Just what I was looking for!

From the first contact onward, the owners were very accommodating. Gave me a quick tour of island roads. Golf cart demo. House walk-Thru. Everything just great. Local folks who really love and know the area well. Very quiet little neighborhood. Speaking of neighbors, friendly and would wave and chat while walking dog. Your within 3min drive to beach. Incredible local restaurants just right up the road. Great location, house and people.

House and Host was tremendous

The location was awesome. It was at the end of a dead end street so it was quiet but still super close to the village and beaches. The house had everything that we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We had plenty of room for several people to spread out. The best part was the host. He was so nice and very responsive to any requests of questions we had without ever being imposing. It truly added to the experience, from the booking of the property all the way through the check out. I would highly recommend this place to a family or really anyone looking to enjoy the fantastic island of St. Simons. I cant wait to come back.

Great place to stay on SSI

We had a wonderful time here for our family vacation. Just a minute from the beach and the Village. We got to do and experience everything that SSI offers without having to spend a lot or be cramped. Will definitely look to rent this place again when we come back.

Bright, comfortable and well located

We enjoyed our stay in this bright spacious home. The house is full of light, all freshly painted and kitchen and master bath newly renovated. The comfortable living room was a cosy spot to pass the one or two rainy days we had in our month-long stay. The generous living space is well laid out, all on the top floor. (Below is a granny suite occupied while we were there by the helpful and quiet owners - we generally didn’t know they were there unless we needed them). The location of the house is wonderful - walkable or a 5 minute drive to several different beach access points, or into town for lunch at one if the many restaurant choices.

Just what we wanted and needed!

This stay was just what our family needed! We loved the comforts of a spacious home but added in sun, sand, great restaurants, kid activities, and more! The house has all the amenities and we couldn’t find anything we were missing. The owners were so hospitable, helpful with suggestions, and accommodating. We loved the golf cart rides daily, close proximity to everything we wanted, and quiet of the street/neighborhood. We kinda felt like family and we’ll be back!

Very nice home with awesome owners! Worth the price....You will not be disappointed!

The owners were awesome. I would highly recommend this rental if you are planning a trip to St. Simon Island (SSI). The only downfall to our visit was we only had a week to enjoy SSI. There are so many things beside the beach and 1 week just wasnt enough to experience all the wonderful splendor this area has to offer. Thank you Captain Britt and your wife for allowing our family to rent your beautiful spacious home and for all the wonderful food recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Until we meet again, be safe!!

Fantastic vacation home!

Clean, Neat and Great Location!

We enjoyed our week stay with William and Susan. The house was as advertised and in a great location. We have vacationed on St. Simons Island several times and this was a wonderful experience. William and Susan took time to answer all of our questions (and we had many). William also took us on a personal tour of the island - giving us restaurant suggestions, fishing/kayak information and overall island history/notable sites. They welcomed our fur babies as well...which was wonderful! William and Susan were available some of the week in the apartment below, along with their fur baby and responded promptly to inquiries.

Great House

My family stayed here fro 3 weeks in Spring of 2017. The house was very clean and well maintained. It is about one half mile to the beach which was an easy walk. We had access to one of the garages to store our bikes. The owners were very helpful and even replaced the refrigerator because the ice maker was broken. I would definitely rent this house again.

Amazingly beautiful house, with lots of charm. Definitely felt like home for the week.

This was not our first time to St. Simons Island, but will definitely be a memorable one. The property and owners are great. They were always asking if we needed anything and said to let them know if we did. The golf cart made it easy to get around, especially going to the beach. We sat on the back deck to enjoy coffee and our mornings with their dog Sasha, who is one of the best dogs I have met. I would recommend this property to anyone! My son enjoyed the two basketball goals in the back, we grilled a lot on the gas grill, and they had chairs in the garage for the beach. It was perfect for my family of 7! Hopefully we can go back soon. My family and I did not want to leave!

Beautiful home.

The house was beautiful. The owners are great! Brit even took us to his friends house where we were allowed to take the boys fishing on the river. My son caught his first catfish and was so happy! It was cold while we were there but there was lots to do and see. The food was sooooo fresh and wonderful. Everyone we met was so friendly you felt like you were at home. Thanks so much! SUPER EXPERIENCE - SO SAD TO LEAVE

This property can only be described as "unbelievably wonderful". We rented on line and had never been to St. Simons. What a wonderful surprise. This house is so comfortable. It had everything to make our stay the best ever rental experience. The house was exactly as described and more. It felt like home from the moment we walked in. The location was perfect. We could almost walk to many island places of interest. We brought our bikes and with about 20 miles of sidewalk, it was the best. It is paradise for outdoor activities (which was one of our hopes). Everyone is outside and soooo friendly. The house could be cooled / heated in a matter of minutes. Great laundry location. Pantry was spacious, kitchen had great appliances (laundry too). The owner checked in with us to see if there was anything we needed. A new can opener was needed. Two days later Amazon dropped off a new can opener. We had access to the owners golf cart and bicycles. There are so many other things that we were delighted with the list goes on and on. The house is on a dead end street so it was very quiet. We did have one regret ... we should have booked for 3 months instead of just January and February. During most of our stay the owner was close. Owner was the epitome of Southern Charm. He even took one whole day to give us a guided tour. It was really nice and it gave us the chance to see some sites that we would not have been able to see without him. I can't say enough about the house and location. I know for sure, I will be returning. One last point. The house was spacious and could easily sleep 8 or 10 (with the roll out bed and cozy sofas). Sorry, one more last point ... St. Simons has to be the seafood capital of the world. You have to be there to believe it.

MADE A PERFECT CHRISTMAS GETAWAY

My hubby and myself, and my mom, and my sister's family (along with our two pugs) were so fortunate to be able to stay here over Christmas. Britt and Susie were so kind to let me extend our vacation to accommodate my husband who was changing jobs, and had a little bit more time available to spend at the beach. We had everything we needed to cook Christmas dinner, the location was perfect to walk around SSI. The location is near everything. We got my niece roller skates for Christmas, the deadend road was perfect for her to skate and not be around any cars. And, Britt was so kind to let us use the golf cart to drive her to the skate park (up the street on Demere). SHE LOVED IT! We've stayed at different locations on SSI over a number of years, but can honestly say this was the most accommodating rental experience we have ever had. We had the first week to ourselves, just hubby and me, and it was a nice romantic getaway. But, it also worked great when the rest of the family arrived. It didn't feel like we had that many staying there, plenty of room for us to spread out and not be on each others toes. We had a slight problem with the garage door - I think my niece might have kept hitting it, therefore killing the battery. Anyway, moments after we called about it, Britt was out there changing the battery and getting it back up and running - talk about service! Christmas at SSI is always a pleasure. Thank you Britt and Susie for letting us stay in your home during this time. It will be memorable for my whole family for years to come. And, thanks again for letting us bedazzle your house with the lazy lights, and of course letting us use the golf cart. That was a big hit for our niece! (Sorry my review is so late.) The next time we get together at SSI, we'll check here first.

A perfect vacation home

We just got home from a week long vacation visiting family and friends on SSI. The home was beautiful , open and inviting. We had 3 adults , one toddler ( 2 years old) and one baby ( 6 months old ) and there was plenty of room . The house is in a beautiful dead end neighborhood that is very quiet. The open floor plan gave us all the room we needed.. The deck is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee. The master bedroom is huge, with a very comfortable bed and a great shower. The golf cart was a lot of fun to use. The house is very clean and very relaxing. They have beach chairs, coolers and beach towels available to use which was a wonderful added bonus. The house had everything we needed , lots of room, a great kitchen, a large TV, a sunny deck and so much more. It truly is a home away from home.The location is great, close to the beach, restaurants and charming shops. William and Sue went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They truly went above and beyond being great host. We felt like we were staying at a family members home, that is how comfortable the house is and how welcoming they are. We highly recommend this home, and we hope to return soon.

First time visitor

This was our first trip to St. Simons. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the sights and some really good restaurants. We especially enjoyed visiting Sal's Neighborhood Pizzeria. It was fantastic!! The house was perfect for our family. There were six of us and we were very comfortable the entire week. The golf cart and bikes were a great "perk" to have. They made getting back and forth to the beach and some of the other attractions so easy. Thank you Brit and Susan for letting us enjoy your lovely home for the week. We will definately contact you if we decide to visit beautiful St. Simons again!

Nice house and furnishings. Great location! Close to the beach and Village. Quiet dead end street where all the houses are well maintained and the yards manicured. The bikes were great for the Grandkids to explore the close by areas. I used the golf cart to take them crabbing on East Beach causeway. We really enjoyed our visit!

Wonderful house, great location, and owners are wonderful people!

My family and I decide last minute that we wanted to take a trip down to the Georgia Coast. We found Britt and Susan's house on VRBO and were able to fit in to an area they had open. We had 5 adults in our group and our dogs. The fenced yard was perfect for our dogs to stretch their legs. The house is very nicely decorated and clean. The master bed is one of the most comfortable beds we ever slept on. Britt and Susan were so nice. They were very friendly and recommended great things for us to do and see. They also set us up with some fishing spots. When we let them know the microwave wasn't working they had it replaced in 24 hours. I wish we could have visited with them more. We loved being able to use the golf cart. We can't wait to go back again! This is a wonderful place to stay!

Quiet Retreat

Private and secure location, fully functional home that was comfortable and well suited for relaxation. The golf cart was a fun way to explore the town, beach area and restaurants. I wasn't a fan of the evening biting gnats, but that's part of the area (not the home). The back deck could use some new anti-rust chairs, but the overall experience was good and I would recommend it to anyone needing down time from a hectic schedule and/or nasty weather . . . the temps were perfect!

My wife, Susie, and I are available to help you find just the right mix of things to do while you are here. We are locals. This is our full time house. We know every restaurant and activity this area has to offer and we would like to share and help you in any way we can. If you have recommendations, or the house is not up to par for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible so we can correct this. Read our guestbook and sign it in the back. If you have special requests such as bikes, beach chairs, baby items etc please let us know. We have access to a wide range of things you might need.
We kindly ask that you do not set the a/c below 76 degrees. The ceiling fans work great to circulate the air and keep the house cool. Also, please note that the candles in the living room are on automatic timers, so there is no need to turn them on/off. Due to homeowners regulations only 2 cars per stay and we park in front of the left hand garage when we are there please We can arrange to park a second car off site for free. We sometimes reside in the onsite mother-in-law suite when we are are in town. Off site fee community pool at Neptune park just down the street on the beach!

Our house is located in a beautiful subdivision on highly desirable St Simons Island, GA! Our home is located in an upscale safe neighborhood with a fenced back yard and is pet friendly. Unlike so many overdeveloped, crowded destinations, SSI retains a small town charm, and the friendly local folks are always ready with a smile and helpful advice. Rarely do you find a place on the coast, which boasts such a variety of things to do- besides simply beach combing or sunbathing. This area is rich in history and even if you are not a history buff, a visit to the north side of the island to see Christ Church with it's old cemetary and beautiful stained glass, or an afternoon exploring the ruins of the Fort are fun for kids of all ages! Visit old plantations and tabby slave cabins on the island, and trolley tours and ghost walks really bring the past to life. In addition, with it's unique natural marine life, and natural unspoiled beauty, SSI offers dozens of outdoor activities such as kayaking, windsurfing, biking or hiking a wildlife refuge. Local laws protect SSI from the overdevelopment of so many other coastal towns, and you'll feel the quaint, picturesque charm of the island,without all the traffic and noise, high rise bldgs/hotels and crowded sunbathers (who must pay a hotel for a chair to relax on the beach).We love to walk on the beach in early morning and enjoy the sunrise, sound of the waves, tidal pools, shorebirds and marine wildlife and often feel we have the beach to ourselves! Our teen daughter loves to sleep late in quiet comfort -without noise from slamming car doors or headlights coming through windows, and we love that we can enjoy a cup of coffee at our outdoor patio table with privacy and quietness. Carefully protected by local govenment laws, SSI and the Golden Isles are full of wildlife of all kinds: Whales, Manatees, Sport fishing, birds of all varieties (many quite rare) and even wild horses on Cumberland Island.
