Established in 2015 by a visionary mother-and-son duo, this project was born out of a desire to preserve and revitalize an authentic slice of the city: the picturesque "Ilha Cardoso," a cluster of 14 traditional houses. With a thoughtful and sensitive approach, the duo restored the neighborhood, ensuring that the four families who originally lived there could continue to call it home, now with improved living conditions.

The remaining houses were carefully transformed into tourist accommodations, offering visitors a truly immersive cultural experience.

BORDERS SERVICE RULES At check-in all foreign guests have to fill in the SEF forms with the name, date of birth, country and ID number. This is a require of Portuguese authorities and for security reasons. In this case, it is specifically Article 45 of the Schengen Agreement and the recent Local Law in Portugal that has brought this rule into sharper focus. For this reason, all guests of every reservation need to show their passports, so we can collect the required information.
