Charming Villa with a few short comings.
We wanted to give this villa a higher rating because it is a lovely house, with gothic ceilings and curved archways set in a fine neighbourhood. The air conditioning was first class - silent and cooling and in all the rooms. The terrace wraps around the living area nicely with a comfortable dining area and a lounge area.
But there were some drawbacks. Firstly the house advertises a sea view. Technically speaking that is correct but if you hold up your little finger out stretched, then it completely covers the sea view. There is also a Daily charge for electricity and water. In our view that should be included in the nightly rate as it is a fixed charge and in any event it is something that is expected in renting a villa. The satellite TV didn't work and couldn't be fixed. The extractor fan over the oven was broken. The toaster was the cheapest imaginable. So cheap that you had to turn the toaster upside down as there is no pop up function. The piezo function on the gas hob is broken. The inside dining area is extremely cramped, blocking access to the kitchen cupboards and passage to the bedrooms.
But it is a nice house. The stone work and architecture are charming. It just needs some attention to the appliances.
