Various water sports equipment can be rented during the season in the harbor or on the beaches. The nearby nature reserve is suitable for hiking. Cycling is a popular sport in the area. Bike rentals are available in Garrucha/Vera Playa/Mojacar Playa.
Garrucha is still quite mild even in winter and in summer it is a resort that is mainly visited by families.
