Stay in Crete

We had a wonderful time staying at the flat in Crete. You just can't capture the beauty of the house in pictures. The house was amazing, the property manager was very friendly and responsive, the town was amazing and the people were amazing. We had a truly spectacular time in Crete. My only regret was we couldn't stay longer.

The best of Pitsidia

Check-in mit Birgit heißt, eine sehr nette und aufmerksame Gastgeberin kennen zu lernen! Vom ersten Moment stimmte die Chemie, wir wurden nicht nur umfassend mit dem Haus bekannt gemacht sondern auch sofort mit „wo geht man an den Strand“, „ wo geht man einkaufen“, „ wann ist Markt und wo“ oder „ welche Taverne würdest Du empfehlen“ , versorgt. Das Haus entspricht innen und außen den Bildern aus dem Internet, alles gediegen, mit selbstsicherem Geschmack ausgewählt. Weitläufig die Außenanlagen. Wünsche bleiben wohl keine offen! Als Unterschied zum Norden Kretas landest Du in Pitsidia in ein Stück Kreta, daß seinen ursprünglichen Charakter behalten konnte. Trotz Touristenmagnet Matala in der imediaten Umgebung kannst Du noch immer Deinen Frape in der „Bakery“ meinetwegen 2Stunden lang schlürfen oder am Komo-Strand wirklich noch einsam am Meer sitzen! Also: wir haben 2 Wochen Kreta von der besten Seite genossen, tut es uns nach und wählt „Villa Thea“ in Pitsidia als Ausgangspunkt!

Fabulous View

This villa was extraordinarily beautiful with a view to die for, really well supplied and everything in excellent working order. We loved the outdoor kitchens and the garden and felt really spoiled. Biggi and Ari were lovely hosts and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The village is gorgeous and just a stones throw from nearby beaches. There were only two downsides to the property - one is that it is at the top of an extremely steep hill with a poor road so you need to be a confident driver or be prepared to do a decent walk home after dinner in the village. The other was that the pool was quite cold for younger children so I wish we had brought wetsuitS for them to be able to play For longer periods. All in all though, fabulous place and lovely people.

Crête dans une maison de reve

Merci à Brigit pour son accueil, elle a pu nous conseiller sur les environs. La maison est parfaite pour 8 personnes (2 chambres plus petites et 2 chambres plus spacieuses). La cuisine est très bien équipée si vous aimez cuisiner, à disposition barbecue, four à pizza et frigidaire à l’extérieur. Maison avec vue fantastique, vous aurez droit à des couchers de soleil magnifiques. Piscine et extérieur très agréables - différents endroits pour déjeuner et se reposer ... Bref une maison à la hauteur de nos attentes et aménagée avec beaucoup de goût ! Un petit bémol pour ceux qui aiment l’obscurité pour dormir : il y a des rideaux mais le jour peut vous réveiller : une bonne occasion pour profiter de la journée ;)

Ein Traum!!!

Eine tolle Villa und tolle Gastgeber! Wir haben schon so einige Ferienhäuser gemietet, dieses hat alle übertroffen! Pure Begeisterung!! Die Küche, da gab es nicht ein Teil was fehlte. Auch kleine Details wie Geschirrspültaps, Waschmittel etc. waren vorhanden. Der Infinity- Pool und der Ausblick zur jeder Tageszeit, ein Highlight. Dazu die Gastgeber Birgit & Ari super nett und immer mit Rat und Tat zur Stelle. Wir haben uns lange nicht mehr so wohl gefühlt. Dafür möchten wir uns nochmals bedanken, denn dieses Team vor Ort macht den Urlaub perfekt. Ein Kompliment auch auch die Autovermietung sowie den reibungslosen Ablauf!!! Auch hier kam die Empfehlung und Abwicklung von Birgit und Ari... TOP, besser geht es nicht. 5 Sterne sind eigentlich zu wenig! Von uns gibt es 7.

Absolut traumhaft

Die Angaben im Online-Inserat entsprachen absolut dem was wir vorgefunden hatten. Der Zustand des Hauses war sehr gut, es war sehr gepflegt und super sauber. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit und vor allem immer erreichbar. Wir können das Domizil wärmstens empfehlen, es war ein sehr schöner und entspannter Urlaub. Sehr schön war der nahegelegene Komos-Beach, alles was sonst noch wichtig und empfehlenswert ist sagen euch die Vermieter und deren Aussagen passten zu 100 Prozent. Wir werden das Domizil gerne wieder in Anspruch nehmen und danken für einen unserer schönsten Urlaube.

Oase des Wohlgefühls

Die Villa Thea in Pidsidia: Ein Traum. Wir (Groß und Klein) haben von unseren drei Wochen jeden einzelnen Tag, ohne irgendwelche Einschränkungen in dem wunderschönen Anwesen genossen. Dank der äußerst liebe-, geschmackvollen und individuellen Gestaltung und hochwertigen Einrichtung haben wir uns gleich wie Zuhause gefühlt. Man merkt, dass hier nicht einfach ein Ferienhaus für Touristen hingesetzt wurde, sondern die Villa Thea eine Oase des Wohlgefühls sein soll. Es fehlt an nichts. Wir haben bei unserer Buchung in Rezensionen gelesen, dass die Bilder der Villa Thea (die ja schon für sich sprechen), nicht die Besonderheit und Schönheit des Hauses und Anwesens wiedergeben würden. Dies konnten wir nicht glauben, bis wir zum ersten Mal selbst das Anwesen betraten und sprachlos waren. Wir sind durchgängig Ferienhausurlauber in diesem Preissegment und haben schon wirklich tolle Häuser bewohnt, aber die Villa Thea haben wir sofort in unser Herz geschlossen. Die wunderbare Poolanlage ist sehr gepflegt, wird regelmäßig gesäubert (genau wie das Haus auch) und tut einfach nur gut. Drumherum gibt es unterschiedlichste Liege- und Sitzflächen in der Sonne oder auch im Schatten, an denen man Zeit verbringen kann. Wir haben viel gelesen und uns einfach nur wohl gefühlt - mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf das lybische Meer und die Berge. Zum Dorf sind es wirklich nur einige Gehminuten. Dort gibt es kleine Tavernen, kleine Supermärkte, einen Bäcker und eine schöne Atmosphäre. Zum wunderschönen Strand fährt man besser mit dem Auto, auch nur einige Minuten. Ein Auto zu mieten ist sehr empfehlenswert - die Insel ist in dieser Gegend zu schön, um sie nicht etwas großräumiger zu erkunden. Die Villa Thea, der tolle Pool, der unvergleichliche Ausblick, die traumhafte Umgebung, das sprichwörtlich helle Licht, die kretische Gastfreundschaft und vor allem die sooooo sympathischen und unvergleichlich aufmerksamen Vermieter (Birgit, Ari & Chrissie) taten ihr Übriges, dass wir diesen Urlaub in wertvollster Erinnerung behalten werden. Das Beste kommt aber bekanntlich zum Schluss: Wir haben schon unseren nächsten Aufenthalt in der Villa Thea gebucht und dürfen wieder kommen. Die Vorfreude Birgit, Ari & Chrissie wiederzusehen und die Villa Thea zu genießen ist bei uns allen unendlich groß!! Es grüßen Maja, Piet & Kids

Urlaub für die Seele

Die Villa Thea ist nicht nur das schönste Ferienhaus Kretas, sondern einfach ein Traum! Morgens schon, wenn man aufwacht, wird man begrüßt von den warmen und harmonischen Farben des Hauses sowie der äußerst liebevoll und dekorativen Einrichtung. Tagsüber lässt sich immer wieder in einer der vielen lounge-igen Ecken lässig entspannen, die Fotos der Pools sprechen für sich und Abends kann man entweder zu zweit einen romantischen Abend genießen oder mit Freunden einen geselligen Abend in der großzügigen Open-air-Küche verbringen. Der lange Holztisch war unser Favorit - die rollbaren und äußerst bequemen Sessel ein Highlight. Die Ausstattung ist super - die Fotos verraten fast alles! Auch die Umgebung ist perfekt: Abgelegen von den Touristenhochburgen im Norden ist Pitsidia ein netter, kleiner Ort mit einer angenehmen Mischung aus Einheimischen und Touristen. Es gibt einiges zu entdecken, nette kleine Läden und v.a. gemütliche Tavernen in gehbarer Distanz, wo man richtig lecker und günstig essen kann. Die Strände in der Nähe sind sehr schön, ein Teil mit Liegen, Schirmen und Bar/Restaurant, aber auch wilde, breite Strandabschnitte. Wir sind manchmal morgens vor dem Frühstück schnell zum Strand (5 min. mit dem Auto) und freuten uns dann auf einen heißen Kaffee und ein leckeres griechisches Frühstück mit spektakulärem Ausblick zurück in der Villa Thea. Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in alle Richtungen sind vielseitig (wenn man sich dann mal vom Haus trennen kann.. ;-). Alles in allem bietet die Villa Thea einen richtigen Urlaub für die Seele und wir wünschen uns ein baldiges Wiedersehen. Herzlichen Dank auch an die lieben Vermieter Birgit und Ari, die hier für ihre Gäste mit viel Geschmack und Liebe fürs Detail ein kleines Paradies geschaffen haben und immer mit tollen Tipps und Ratschlägen zur Seite standen.

Premium- Urlaub

Wir hatten zu viert einen wundervollen Urlaub in der Villa Thea. Eigentlich ist in den bisherigen Kritiken schon alles gesagt, trotzdem möchten wir auch nochmal sagen, dass in diesem Urlaub rundum alles perfekt war. Der Wahnsinn

Die Villa ist ein Traum, dort bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Die netten Vermieter kümmern sich um alles von der Anreise bis zur Abreise. Die Lage ist wunderschön auf einem Berg mit Meerblick. Man kann in den anliegenden Restaurants super essen gehen. Die Einwohner im Umkreis sind alle sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Es gibt viele schöne Buchten und Strände zu endecken. Alles in allem ein superschöner Urlaub und sicher nicht unser letzter in diesem tollen Haus. Vielen Lieben Dank nochmal an die netten Vermieter :-*

Great Place to be

Maurits/Belgium We were a group of 8 ( 4 adult and 4 teenagers 14-16 yrs) that stayed in Villa Thalassa for 3 weeks in augus 2011. We ahd a superb time, not in the least because of the quality of the villa. The description as give on the site was very accurate, it is indeed a beautiful villa. Impecably cleaned, very well equipped (incredibly well equipped kitchen!!!), a regularly cleaned swimmingpool, more than anough place for all of us to have our own privacy inside as well as outside, a very nicely built outside eating arrangement. Aristide and Birgit and theur daughter Chrissie were the best hosts ever, providing us with all the information and tips we needed, always prepared to help us. We were invited to help Ari with the grapes picking (he makes a very nice raki...)with all the other tenants of his other houses and share a big dinner at his house. Great experience! We loved Matala and it's atmosphere, the beach at Agi Galini, Delfinos restaurant at Kalimakis Beach, touring on the motor bike via the coastal road to Lendas, trips to heraklion and Rethminon. The girls (at 16) were perhaps a bit disappointed at the possibilities to go out to clubs and bars, but we happiky drove them to Chersonissos a few times (and they took the bus themselves from Pitsidia), so that was solved. We would recommend villa Thalassa to everyone! (no very little children tough, because of the swimming pool)

Traumhaft!

wir hatten einen unvergesslichen urlaub in dieser unglaublich schönen villa! das haus (mit wlan anschluss), die gastfreundschaft von birgit, aris und chrissie und die landschaft haben sofort einen platz in unserem herzen gefunden. wir werden mit sicherheit zurück gehen! in der nähe gibt es gute restaurants, schöne, ruhige strände. man braucht aber ein auto! im haus ist ALLES vorhanden, was man zum wohlfühlen benöigt. wir wollten meistens nur auf der terrasse sitzen und aufs meer schauen. alles super sauber, auch der pool. grillstation im freien. alles mit viel liebe gebaut und eingerichtet. rundum ein perfekter urlaub. wichtig: am besten nicht chania sondern heraklion anfliegen!

A Holiday to remember... a place to return to...

A last minute decision to get away, a jewel in Crete found...The property is beautiful, the views are stunning, but what truly made the holiday was the warm hospitality of Brigitte, Aristedis and Chrissie. The weather was hot, the wind blew, the food was great. This area of Crete is truly unspoilt, the 60's hippie hotspot of Matala with its caves and amazing sunset. The tuesday night concert in Pitsidia... all great fun and full of interesting characters !!! We will be going back...

Traumurlaub in Kreta

Im Juli 10 wohnten wir (4P.) in der Villa Thalosso an der Südküste Kretas. Die Villa ist ein Traum, die Bilder spiegeln die Wertigkeit des realen Eindrucks nur bedingt wieder. Gänzlich mediterraner Stil und kreatischer Chick an einem Ort, für dessen Blick auf das Meer man sicher 7 Sterne vergeben kann. In fast unberüherte Natur, umgeben von Oliven-, Zitronen- und Feigenbäumen lässt man an diesem Ort die Seele baumeln und fühlt sich dem Paradies sehr nahe. Ein erholsameren Urlaub hatten wir zu diesem Preis in keiner Gegend innerhalb von Südeuropa. Das Meer ist zu Fuß in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Sie finden einen fast unbebauten Naturstrand mit Sand, an dem man super wandern, baden, schnorcheln oder einfach nur Sonne tanken kann. Einige kleine Kneipen bedienen direkt an den kostenlosen Strandliegen mit Sonnenschirmen. Kein Massentourismus, der sich aber an der Nordküste befindet, trübt hier das Badeerlebnis. Da die Villa auf einer Anhöhe leigt hat man tagsüber immer einen angenehmen Wind, der eine Klimaanlage auch Nachts ersetzt. Die Villa wird mittel Fußbodenkühlung wohl temperiert und kann auf die individuellen Bedürfnisse eingestellt werden. Die Möglichkeiten für Rennrad Touren in den Morgenstunden sind optimal. Einer der schönsten Ausflüge, war die Empfehlung in die Orleander Schlucht zu wandern. 200 Meter hohe Felsen und dazwischen ein 30 Meter Streifen nur aus riesigen Orleander Sträuchern und Bäumen. Nach ca. 2 Kilometern öffnet sich die Schlucht zum Meer und man steht an einer kleinen Bucht in kristall klarem Wasser, umgeben nur von Felsen und ein paar griechischen Fischern, die hier das Abendbrot guter griechischer Tavernen jagen. Hier muss man einfach reinspringen. Der nächste Ort von der Villa ist in 6 KM Matala, bekannt aus der Hippie Szene der 70-er Jahre. Hier findet man kleine und große Tavernen, Restaurants und Bars. Für jeden Geschmack ist was dabei. Unsere Empfehlung ist das Restaurant: "Zu den Zwei Brüdern". Auch hat es in Matala diverse Läden mit Mode, Keramik und alles was das Mitbringsel Herz begehrt. Das Beste an der Villa sind aber seine Vermierter. Die Tipps, Unterstützung und Gastfreunschaft dieser Familie sind einmalig. Wir haben nicht nur das weltbeste Zaziki bekommen sondern lernten auch viel von der griechischen Mentalität, die uns Deutsche hin und wieder beschämt. Die Villa ist für alle Paare und Familien, die Erholung suchen und das tatsächliche griechische Leben kennenlernen wollen super geeignet. Kai
