Excellent pool villa 3 minutes to the beach, air conditioning, WiFi, safe

Villa Maria is located in Vale de Centianes, Algarve, Portugal, between picturesque Carvoeiro and the small fishing village of Benagil.
This stunning villa is close to the cliffs. A 90 second walk and you have spectacular views for miles along the coast to Praia da Rocha and beyond to Lagos, overlooking the Blue Flag beach, Praia do Vale de Centianes. On this spectacular beach there are sun loungers, parasols, boats, parking, a lifeguard and Restaurant O'Stop with its magnificent sea views. And all just a 5 minute walk away! And less than 5 minutes drive is Benagil with its baeutiful beach and world famous caves.
You can walk for miles along the cliffs in both directions enjoying the stunning sea views. The sea is turquoise, the sand golden, the sandstone cliffs red and the sky blue, making it all so relaxing and colourful with beautiful birds.
Villa Maria has four large bedrooms and bathrooms, three with walk in wet room / showers. All bedrooms have quiet air conditioning (extra cost) with silent Hunter ceiling fans. There are queen size double beds. All beds are dreams and very comfortable. Each room has its own hairdryer and one has curling iron. In addition, there are two baby cots. High chairs are also provided free of charge.
The upstairs bedrooms open onto terraces with sea views and one downstairs bedroom has doors to the garden and swimming pool. There is a pool shower, an outdoor toilet and a Portuguese brick barbecue with chimney. There is also a table tennis. Built in 1990, this villa has just been modernised with double glazing and electric shutters. One press and every blind opens or closes!
The bathrooms, bedrooms and fittings are all new and finished to a very high luxury standard.
The kitchen is large and well equipped with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and coffee machine. There are UK, German, French and Spanish channels on the satellite TV system along with a good range of German and English books.
The lounge TV is a Samsung LED with a DVD player and Playstation PS3 (bring your own games). The lounge also has an iPod dock, free internet access and Wii fit. The master bedroom has an LED TV and Freesat box.
From the roof terrace you have sweeping sea views down the coast to Portimão and on to Alvor and Lagos. The plot, about 1200m², is surrounded by a wall and is landscaped with palm trees, tropical plants and lawns - suitable for children. Villa Maria is the ideal holiday villa for the extended family. Please note that the swimming pool is not fenced. There is lockable off street parking for two cars and garage parking is available at an additional cost for prestige cars.

Just what the Doctor ordered!
Due to Covid we had to postpone this holiday from 2020 and had had a terrible experience in France in 2019, so we were desperately in need of a break. The red tape to get through to get here was all worth it when we arrived at the villa. It was everything we hoped for and more. The spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation and the beautiful outside areas and pool were just wonderful. The location is fantastic with the local shop less than a minutes walk away as is the amazing Helder’s Bar which was so friendly with lovely food and a Pina Colada to die for! All in all it was better than hoped for and our expectations had been high. Harald was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout both the booking process and our time in the villa. But perhaps the best review that we can give is to say that we’ve already booked it again for next year! We are already counting down the days.

Great Villa
This villa was perfect for our family, 6 adults, 6 children, the outdoor space was fabulous the children were never out of the pool. The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept when being abroad. there are 3 nice restaurants 2min walk and a sports bar and supermarket. highly recommed !

Toller Urlaub in einer super Villa in Strandnähe
Wir haben hier einen wunderbaren Urlaub verbracht: Der Strand ist in direkter Nähe und leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen. An den Klippen kann man tolle Wanderungen machen und leicht weitere schöne Strände erreichen, ebenso wie den Ort Cavoeiro mit einer super Eisdiele, Cafés und Restaurants. Auch die Villa hat uns gut gefallen, sie ist gemütlich und top ausgestattet. Die Betreuung durch Harald vom Holidaycenter war außerdem sehr gut. Eine rundum schöne Erfahrung - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Very nice villa great location
We had a wonderful time. The villa is superb with plenty to do for everyone. The location is perfect, close proximity to the beach and cliff walk. There are plenty of games to play and toys for the good size swimming pool. Only one small problem. Would of been nice to know we needed to get bin bags, cling film, silver foil and tea towels but that will be useful to know for future visitors.

Perfect
The perfect villa for a large group of friends or family holiday; it has everything you could possibly need - fabulous bedrooms and bathrooms, superb outdoor space, lovely pool, outdoor shower and BBQ area. You can easily do without a car as the beach s 5 minutes' walk away, there is a local shop, great café/bar (Helder's) and plenty of local restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommended!

Lovely Casa Maria
After three visits to this wonderful villa I can thoroughly recommend it. It's in a great location, very peaceful yet walking distance from the beach (with lovely beach bar) and a selection of really good local restaurants. There is a supermarket at the top of the road (2 mins away) that stocks everything and next door a great little restaurant for breakfast. Casa Maria is very comfortable and well furnished, has four lovely bedrooms all with en-suite and plenty of off-road parking. It's very well equipped with everything we needed and we felt very safe and secure. There's lots of space both inside and out and the gardens are lovely with some really nice spots to sunbath or sit in the shade and read. The pool is big, ideal for swimming lengths but also has a shallow end for children. Caveiro is a ten minute drive away and taxis there and back are no problem and inexpensive. We love it here, it has everything we need for a thoroughly relaxing holiday.

Excellent villa
Our first time in Portugal and we were not disappointed. Villa Maria is 5*; every thing has been well thought out for your comfort, the kitchen is fully equipped with every thing you could possibly need. The decor is to a very high standard and furnishings are very comfortable with plenty of spacious rooms and areas to relax in. The sun terrace and pool with patio are an excellent place to eat and relax in the sun. We enjoyed the peacefulness and had a very relaxed holiday. Restaurant and bars are within a short walk but a car is useful for days out and trips to restaurant hill for more variety for dinner. We look forward to returning to this lovely villa...

Great villa in a nice quiet location
We had a lovely, relaxing break in this beautiful villa. Its spacious with everything you need and has a really nice pool area. Lots of nice restaurants and a blue star beach within an easy walk so nothing to worry about. I'd definitely recommend it and would book again.

Fabulous Villa.
This was our first visit to Portugal and our first stay at a villa rather than a hotel. I have to say that I am a complete convert. Villa Maria is an outstanding property, combining all the comforts of home with 5 star luxury. Four very large, tastefully decorated bedrooms and an equal amount of bathrooms meant we were spoilt for choice. Although very spacious, the layout affords a sense of cosiness, particularly the lounge with its comfy sofas and stone fireplace. The owners have spared no expense and have thought of everything one might need whilst on holiday, even the little things. The grounds are quite extensive and private, with a good sized pool and lots of accessories that kept us entertained. The sun beds and other poolside furniture were of good quality and were very comfortable. Both garden and pool were well maintained. Although the villa is fully equipped for self-catering purposes, we rarely cooked due to the numerous restaurants and cafes close by, all of which were outstanding and varied. We hired a car in order to explore further, but there is much to enjoy within walking distance of the villa. I cannot rate Villa Maria highly enough and hope to return again one day to enjoy its treasures.

A Portuguese paradise
This was our first time staying in the Carvoeiro area of Portugal and the Villa Maria in Vale de Centianes was definitely the highlight of our holiday. We loved the spacious private garden and large sun terrace around the pool. There are plenty of very comfortable sun beds but if you want to find some shade you can tuck yourself away on one of the sofas under the canopy. The villa feels really spacious with four bedrooms that are all a really good size and have large bathrooms - no arguing here about who will have the smaller bedroom! The villa had everything you need - a real home from home but with the luxury of the pool and terraces. Watching the sunset from the top roof terrace is a must. It was so handy to be able to walk 2 minutes up the road to the well stocked local supermarket or to have breakfast or a night cap in the popular Helger's Bar. A great area of Portugal but it was Villa Maria that made it such a great holiday for us.

CASA MARIA
We were lucky enough to have stayed at Villa Maria for a week to celebrate my mums 60th birthday and we were not disappointed. The villa inside has something for everyone, a fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, a bathroom for every bedroom, a utility room, a dining room and a living room with a large TV. There is another TV that has various game consoles available for use which is great to keep the kids amused while you’re having a nice lie in! Outside, there is fencing all the way around and a large gate at the entrance so you know any children are safe. The swimming pool is the highlight and kept children and adults alike amused for many hours. There is an outside bbq and large outside dining table which means eating in is easy and comfortable. In the evening you can take the stairs to the top of the villa and watch the most amazing sunset across the sea, bliss! Literally a stone throws away is a small shop that stocks all the necessities, a cafe/ bar and pizza restaurant which are very convenient. There are loads more places to eat a short walk away or in the town which is very close by, and there is an excellent choice for vegetarians which I know is often not the case abroad. I cannot rate this villa highly enough and hope to be going back again very soon

FANTASTIC VILLA MARIA
I have been lucky enough to have stayed in this villa on two occasions and cannot fault it in any way what so ever. The owners of this property have spared no expense when refurbishing and fitting it out even down to having luggage scales in the bedroom so you can check that your suit cases are not overweight before you leave for the airport. Decent hairdryers are also provided. (bonus!!) This is a five star accommodation bedrooms and bathrooms all to an extremely high standard. The garden ground is superbly maintained as is the swiming pool. Its location is idea for several beaches one wintin 5 mins walking distance with a reasonably priced restaurant right on the beach. Local shops and restaurants also within walking distance. If you do not have a car there is a very reliable family run taxi firm with very reasonable fares to take you to beaches and towns further afield should you wish to leave the villa for the odd day. I have no hesitation in recommending this property to my friends and colleagues and in fact have done so on several occasions. All I can say is that I cannot wait to go back again and live the life of luxury for a week or two. The listings description is very accurate. Highly recommend you try it.

Just as impressive second time around.....
Well I said we were going back and we did.... We have just arrived home following our second stay in this lovely villa. As mentioned before Villa Maria is in a great location and we had fun finding new secluded coves as well as visiting some old favourites from the last trip. Found a couple more great restaurants too....! The Wifi is a great addition and was very useful allowing us to use the laptop to look up information and locations as well as to stay in touch with those at home.

Traumvilla
Wir verbrachten einen traumhaften Urlaub zu sechst in dieser Villa. Die Villa ist sehr groß, man hat sehr viel Freiraum, alles überkomplett eingerichtet, kostenloses I-net mit eigenem PC, tolles Pool. Alles ist bestens gepflegt. Ein Supermarkt in 200 Metern entfernt, 10 Golfplätze in maximal 30 Minuten erreichbar, der nächste Strand in 5 Minuten, viele schöne Strände in 20-30 Minuten erreichbar. Buchung klappt ausgezeichnet, Kontaktperson ist immer erreichbar und sehr fredundlich. Wir waren jetzt das 2. Mal hier( voriges Jahr im Apartment Gil) und kommen sicher wieder!

What more could you ask for.....
The Villa Maria is a truly wonderful place to stay equiped with everything you need to ensure a great holiday. We stayed for a week and eat somewhere different most nights - Everywhere we tried was good value ranging from relaxed to more formal dining. If you are like us and prefer not to cook there are even great breakfasts available just around the corner! We hired a car for part of our stay to explore a bit more of what the area has to offer and were not disappointed.... Loads of great secluded beaches! There are so many places to see in the world it is rare that we go back to the same place but we have booked our return visit, which prompted this review, and cant wait to get there!! We are told the WiFi is now up and running too which is great news and will make it even better for us.

Wir haben im Juni 2011 drei Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Haus unseren Urlaub verbracht. Die Angaben zum Domizil stimmten voll und ganz. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Durch die Agentur, besonders durch Lutz wurden wir Bestens betreut. Wir können dieses Anwesen jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Eine 1+ geben wir im Besonderen den Betten. Wenn wir mal wieder nach Carvoeiro reisen, würden wir diese schöne Villa sofort wieder anmieten.

When we arrived outside "Villa Maria" we were incredibly impressed. Its grand & inviting. On entering you will feel relaxed in the knowledge that your holiday starts immediately!! The description & reviews says its spacious, it is. The pool is beautiful, well accommodated if you wish to spend time lounging around! Including BBQ & outside shower. The roof terraceis a great place to sunbath "in private" if you wish. The villa is beautifully decorated and modern, with a homely feel. I particularly liked waking up, sun shining, walking straight onto the patio, depending which room you choose. Lots of beaches to choose from, our favourite happens to be the nearest one, 10 mins walk. "O-Stop" bar/restaurant is situated on the beach, does great food. Huge choice of places to eat, reasonably priced, depending what you fancy, from casual to the most dressed up occasions. Lutz is there opposite if you need any help or advice. Great holiday for families or group of friends, we’ll be back!!

I love Villa Maria. Opening the curtains to a view of over the pool with the Autumn sun rising is fabulous! It's location is ideal - less than 5 minutes walk to local shops where you can pick up essentials, beach is 10 minutes walk & town 20 minutes. You'd struggle to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner in the same place twice during a 2 week stay there are so many different resturants ranging from beach cafe to A la Carte! The Villa's recent refurbishment makes you feel like you're walking into a first class hotel, it's spacious yet cozy with stone heaters keeping it nice & warm. A 5 minute walk to the cliffs will reward you with stunning views. You can walk for miles along signed paths all the way along the coast, stopping off at cafes for refreshment. The people are very friendly & make your holiday immediately relaxing as they speak good English. You dont have to walk anywhere, the recommended taxi company run by Vasco & his brother is very reliable, friendly & resonably priced.
