The climatic health resort of Hasselfelde is located in the middle of the High Harz. A real, small attraction is a ride on the Selketalbahn, which has its own station in the town and is part of the Harz narrow-gauge railway transport association. In the region around Hasselfelde there are numerous museums and show mines that provide cultural variety.
