The beautiful small town of Burg Stargard, located near Neubrandenburg, boasts the oldest secular building in MV, the medieval hilltop castle, a summer toboggan run, various riding opportunities and the Marie Hager Haus. From here, you can explore the beautiful countryside with its hilly landscape shaped by the Ice Age, many deciduous forests, extensive fields and numerous bathing lakes, whether on foot, by bike or in a canoe. The village is also a good starting point for city trips, with the university town of Greifswald just an hour away by train or car. The dream of a day at the seaside comes true after a 1.5-hour drive to one of the beautiful Baltic seaside resorts on the island of Usedom or the Polish island of Wollin.
