The center of Camaiore dates back to the 13th century, much has unfortunately been destroyed, as well as parts of the 4 gates that led into the city - the only surviving one is the Lombrinese Gate - facing Lombrici, which stands next to the house. There are small stores and a restaurant in the small piazza, with more in every direction. Many small stores and boutiques adorn the streets. There is a lot going on in Camaiore - fairs, festivals and markets alternate. One of the most beautiful is the Corpus Christi procession. During the night from Saturday to Sunday, the so-called sawdust carpets are made in the center - these "pictures" are worked on for months.
