The 3.5-room holiday apartment "Hinterberg" in Amden, which is located right next to the Mattstock chairlift, combines village life with the immediate proximity to the hiking area and presents itself as a bright and friendly domicile. This charming attic flat on the third floor impresses with its light wooden ceilings and offers a generous ceiling height, comfortably accommodating up to four people on a living space of 88 square metres. The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed measuring 180x200 cm and a TV, while the second bedroom has two single beds. The bathroom impresses with an oval bathtub (without bubble function), a large double bathroom sink, a hairdryer and a make-up mirror. The living and dining area is spacious and even more inviting thanks to the open-plan kitchen. A round dining table and a large corner sofa make for cozy evenings. The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired: it is equipped with a fridge and freezer compartment, ceramic hobs, an oven, a steamer and a microwave. There is a Nespresso coffee machine for coffee lovers and a raclette and cheese fondue set for fans of Swiss cuisine. Two televisions with Google Chromecast and a media player provide entertainment. The south-facing balcony offers a magnificent view of the Leistchamm and the Glarus Alps. Additional amenities such as a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a storage room for sports equipment and a garage space make your stay in the "Hinterberg" holiday flat even more enjoyable. Pets are not allowed in this flat, but WLAN / Internet is available to guests so that they can stay connected during their stay. Parking space number 9 in the neighbouring garage is reserved for you. The "Hinterberg" holiday apartment is sunny and centrally located in the village, right next to the Mattstock chairlift, which takes you to the beautiful hiking area on Amden's local mountain of the same name. You will find all amenities in the immediate vicinity: Shopping facilities, bank and tourist information, bus stop, restaurants, a café with bakery, as well as the indoor swimming pool with sauna. The Mattstock chairlift and the ski area of the same name are also not far away. The mountain railway starts directly behind the house and offers a perfect starting point for hikes in summer and winter. The pistes on the Mattstock and Bärenfall are very popular for skiing. The family-friendly Arvenbüel ski area can be reached in just five minutes by car, but there is also a free ski bus. Particularly convenient for families with small children: Mainly easy pistes and the renowned Swiss ski school are ideal for learning to ski or snowboard. Winter hiking fans can choose their favourites from the extensive network of snowshoe and hiking trails. Arvenbüel impresses with its scenic charm - which can be enjoyed not only on foot, but also on two varied cross-country ski trails.

In spring, summer and autumn, you can enjoy the enchanting nature between Lake Walensee and the mountain peaks on around 120 kilometres of hiking trails of all levels of difficulty around Amden. Water lovers will adore the emerald-blue waters of nearby Lake Walensee: Pure bathing fun is guaranteed at various bays and even sandy beaches. You can also cool off in the charming little mountain streams, such as the Beerenbach in Arvenbüel. Our tip: take the Mattstock cable car up to the top and walk to Hinter Höhi (or do the Amden high-altitude trail). The view over the high moor is simply magical.
