About this property
Le mazet de Cabrières-d'Avignon with private terrace and garden and Wi-Fi access
Nestling in the heart of the charming Provencal village of Cabrières-d'Avignon, in the Luberon-Monts de Vaucluse, close to the splendid village of Gordes, voted most beautiful village in the world in 2023, as well as other typical villages (Roussillon, Ménerbes, Lacoste, Bonnieux, Goult, Oppède le Vieux), the Mazet de Cabrières-d'Avignon is the ideal place for an authentic stay in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, in complete tranquillity.
A traditionally-built house, the Mazet en Provence de Cabrières-d'Avignon-Gordes-Luberon, with its old stone charm, is carefully decorated in Provencal style. There's no need for air-conditioning here - like all typical Provencal mazets, the house is very well insulated and stays cool in summer.
It is fully equipped for your comfort: crockery and cutlery, television, wifi fibre ideal for teleworking, new bedding (May 2024) with a 160x200 bed and a 140x200 bed, ironing facilities, gas barbecue and deckchairs. Ground floor: living-dining room with open-plan, fully-equipped Provençal kitchen. Upstairs, 2 bedrooms, 1 of which opens onto the landing, with shower room and separate toilet. Le Mazet has a dishwasher and washing machine.
Situated in a peaceful street close to the magnificent 11th/12th-century private château, Le Mazet has a quiet, intimate Provencal garden and a covered, shaded terrace near the olive and cypress trees (secure access for parking bikes or motorbikes).
A natural paradise, the region offers picturesque cycling and hiking trails through Mediterranean landscapes. Cyclists can explore undulating trails offering spectacular views of the vineyards and typical hilltop villages of the region. Hikers will find winding paths through hills dotted with holm oaks and lavender, leading to breathtaking panoramas. Don't miss the Sentier des Ocres for its unique rock formations, the Mur de la Peste (Plague Wall) built in 1720 to protect the Comtat Venaissin (now Vaucluse) from the plague invading Marseille and currently under renovation, or the Luberon circuit for total immersion in unspoilt nature. Cabrières d'Avignon is a paradise for nature lovers looking for adventure and tranquillity.
The house is just a short walk from the village bakery and grocery shop. Parking spaces are available nearby, so you can park easily and free of charge.
Towels, bath mats and tea towels are provided. Sheets are not provided, but can be hired for a supplement on request, to be paid on arrival.
- Bedlinen Payment 25,00 € per stay
