Features Boat: The house includes a spacious 21 foot Oien 620 F pilothouse boat (mod. 2024) with 60 hp Yamaha FETL engine, equipped with Lowrance Hook Reveal 7 chart plotter echo sounder, 50/200 HDI transducer, Jabsco 4.8 bar deck flushing pump, rod holder and pilothouse cabin. The mooring is located on the new jetty directly in front of the house. The journey time by boat to Farsund is approx. 15 minutes. The Oien 620 F is a fast, safe and stable fishing and excursion boat for up to 5 anglers. With a length of 6.20 m and a width of 2.35 m, it offers plenty of space on deck and is ideal for demanding fishing trips in the archipelago and for trips off the coast, as it has excellent seaworthiness, safety and stability. The cockpit offers protection from wind and waves, and the robust hull is stable in the swell. The chart plotter with integrated GPS enables precise navigation and marking of favorite spots for easy retrieval.
Nordstranda Fjordferie - Lillebua House
The Nordstranda Fjordferie vacation complex was built on the idyllic Helvikfjord in 2023 on approx. 500 m of shoreline.
With a completely new waterfront promenade, boat moorings and jetties, a filleting house, beautifully landscaped grounds and much more.
The new property, "Nordstranda Lillebua" will be completed on 01.04.2024. It is a completely new building directly on the shore to the left of the vacation home with apartments 1 and 2. The interior impresses with all amenities and a chic living ambience, with panoramic windows and the terrace facing the fjord. For the time being we can only present project pictures. However, you know and meet the completion dates, everything will run smoothly with us without disturbing or affecting the neighborhood.
The complex includes several fjord cabins and high-quality, modern vacation apartments, all directly on the water with fjord views, all just a few kilometers west of Farsund, in a sheltered, sunny and inviting fjord location.
You can spend your vacation here in all seasons, because the beautiful natural location directly on the Helvikfjord makes Nordstranda very popular with German, Austrian, Belgian and Dutch tourists in particular. Not only because you can fish for sea trout and sea fish right on the shore, but also because the area is so beautiful and offers attractions and natural idylls. In addition to life by the fjord, there are a number of leisure activities for all ages in the area around Farsund. Last but not least, the area around Farsund and the coast of Sørland offers a "sea" of fishing opportunities in fresh and salt water.
On the site you can enjoy the morning and evening sun until late in the evening in summer. At this vacation spot, you will be amazed by a great view of the fjord with its new jetties and boat moorings, and the mountains on the horizon. Did you know that you can take a boat from Nordstranda through the fjords to Lyngdal or Apta? Or in 15 minutes directly to Farsund town center and from there out to sea? A highlight is the proximity to Farsund town center, as there are plenty of stores and a 'shopping mall' here. The ladies traveling with you will be thrilled to see or buy a lot of Nordic fashion here. In addition to several restaurants, pubs and a disco, the Bondeheimen pub (click to Facebook) is a place for young and old to dance and party to live Norwegian music at the weekend.

From Hirtshals (DK) to Kristiansand or Stavanger (N). We are happy to help you choose the cheapest ferries ( or ) and book them reliably on request. The journey time to the properties in the region is approx. 1 hour 30 minutes. The long-distance buses travel directly to Lyngdal or Farsund from Kristiansand or Stavanger. There is another bus connection from Lyngdal to Farsund and vice versa. (The driver stops on request).
Directions
After leaving the ferry/customs, follow the signs to Stavanger/Flekkefjord (E 39).
There are automatic toll booths on the route. Please log on to and register your vehicle there. If you wish to drive through the Autopass lanes without registering, you will later receive an invoice for the fees incurred. Leave the E39 at the Lyngdal exit and drive in the direction of Farsund. Follow RV 43 in the direction of Farsund and then continue in the direction of Lista Fyr Vanse/Borhaug. Before Vanse, turn right into Helvikveien.

Fishing and leisure activities in Farsund and the Bjoernevag region
Fishing in Farsund, Bjoernevag, Nordstranda and the waters outside Katland on the sea up to Cape Lindesnes.
In the area around Farsund with its fjords, island gardens, archipelago and the extremely fish-rich plateaus on the sea off Katland and the Kletten, water sports activities and saltwater fishing (all types) are at the top of your daily program. For diving, kiting, surfing and recreational and amateur anglers, the area is always full of surprises.
Good catches of handsome sea fish such as cod, pollack, coalfish, long and lump, sometimes halibut, as well as mackerel in abundance are brought home especially from the sea hotspots off Farsund, between Lindesnes Fyr and Lista Fyr. Of course, we know that the success rates depend on the weather, the season and the currents, but that's the way it is all over Norway on the coastal stretches. The open sea with its plateaus Nesskletten, Svaneflua, Rauna and other good fishing spots should only be approached with suitable boats and only in stable weather.
What is important to us: You should only head for offshore fishing spots in stable weather and with a suitable boat! Small dinghies should avoid offshore fishing areas and have no place on the open sea.

After all, the entire area offers more than 20 species of fish that can be caught. You can fish between the islands and skerries, or in the sheltered fjord with hardly any down days to speak of, virtually in any weather. In good weather with little wind, you can easily reach the open sea and the sandy plateaus from most of the locations. In the wintery spring, the herring come to the coast, joined by strong cod and coalfish.
From some of the jetties you can catch flatfish, flounder and meagre, as well as other sea fish. The owner can usually give you good weather tips and advice on worthwhile fishing spots. Wind-protected fishing in the fjord is almost always possible. So if you want to combine fishing and family, a short journey and lots of alternative vacation activities, this region is the place for you.
From Farsund or Borhaug you can book professionally guided fishing trips. The operator Björnevags also offers guided deep-sea and deep-sea fishing tours, for example, with M/S Bjørnevåg, 32 ft/100 hp, certified for 5-8 people. The tour lasts approx. 6 hours and is only carried out with a binding confirmation. (Only bookable and payable on site in Björnevag).

Fishing at Nordstranda:
Shoals of mackerel and other marine fish species move into the Helvikfjorden near Norstranda at various times of the year. From April onwards, fishing for sea trout directly from the jetty at Nordstranda or at "Svingbru v Bøensbakken" is absolutely promising and successful. The best mefo fishing, in our opinion, can be found on the shores and beaches of Farsund, or even in the city center under the bridge when the wind is blowing. We tested this ourselves and were quite successful.
In the summer of 2023, a herd of peaceful killer whales (orcas) even moved into the inner fjords and stayed there for several weeks to feed and rest. Visitors should keep their boats away from these majestic animals and the seals and always keep a safe distance.
Did you know that you can take a boat from our new Nordstranda facility near Helvik through the fjords to Lyngdal or Apta? Or in just 15 minutes directly to the center of Farsund and from there quickly to the open sea, past the Katland lighthouse?

Additional boat costs:
Included are also the costs for mooring and boat inventory, hull insurance with up to 1000 euros excess depending on boat type and insurance, the necessary safety equipment and equipment according to Norwegian law.

Boat insurance - hull:
Your boat is covered by hull insurance. The excess in the event of damage is 1000 euros. The type of cover and the amount of the excess may vary and must be requested from the respective boat owner when taking over the boat and documented on the checklist. Personal items are not insured. The hull insurance is not liable for accidental damage suffered by persons traveling on the rental object. The renter is liable for damage to and loss of the boat if the damage is not covered by the insurance. Damage also includes consequential damage. The lessor/owner may retain the deposit paid until the damage has been repaired. The excess per case of damage is to be borne by the renter and may differ from the deposit. If the boat is returned free of defects, the deposit will be refunded immediately. Any damage not covered by the deposit or insurance must be replaced by the hirer immediately before departure. The hirer undertakes to notify the lessor/owner immediately of any damage, collisions, other unusual occurrences or complaints.
Boating license:
For guests born before 01.01.1980, no license for motorboats of this class is required in Norway. For younger persons, a boating license for boats with more than 25 hp is mandatory.
Binding rules of conduct - liability of the hirer:
We expect the skipper to strictly refrain from drinking alcohol on board. This is solely for your safety.
The hirer is liable for any damage caused by themselves and also for any damage caused by other users of the boat. The use of the boat is at the renter's and all other users own risk. The hirer shall inform his crew in good time that they may need to take out appropriate insurance against loss events themselves before the start of the trip. In addition, the skipper must familiarize the crew with the boat technology and the terms of the contract and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets on the trips.
If fish cleaning is to be carried out on the boat or on an appropriate filleting table on the jetty, please dispose of the fish waste at sea and not in the harbour basin. Always cover fish waste (seagulls).
Restriction of area:
Voyages are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and near the coast.
A minimum distance of 100 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with the navigation rules may result in immediate termination of the tenancy by the lessor/owner. Claims of the tenant are therefore deemed forfeited.
Handover - Return:
The rental period of the boat is generally bound to the rental period of the booked object.
Equipment and inventory will be handed over/taken over according to the checklist.
Location: Handover with sailing instructions and return at the berth.
Handover: 17:00 h - 18:00 h or by arrangement with the owner
Return: by 10:30 h on the last day of the rental or by arrangement with the owner.
Event. Delays must be reported to the owner immediately by telephone

Cleaning the boat:
The hirer must clean the boat thoroughly after each outing. The renter returns the boat in refueled and cleaned condition, as it was handed over by the lessor. We would like to expressly point out that GRP boats should not be entered with black, staining soles. Cleaning afterwards is very difficult and requires a great deal of work on your part. We charge up to 100 euros for a boat that has not been properly cleaned, depending on the effort involved.

Important: In order to absorb the drastically increasing energy costs, we have to charge an additional 7 euros per overnight stay.
Charging e-bikes, hybrid or e-cars via the house electricity is not permitted and is only allowed at the approved charging stations.
Included: The costs for boat rental, accommodation, internet, electricity for normal household management and water are thus included in the price.
Excluded and not included in the rental price: Insurance for accident cover, personal liability insurance.

Deposit:
The rental deposit is 350 euros, this is to be paid directly on site when moving in and will be refunded to the tenant when the rental property is returned free of defects when moving out.

Final cleaning is included in the price of this property. You can bring your own bed linen and towel sets or book them as an optional service for 20 euros per set. 1 dog is allowed (to be specified when booking, 15 euros per day).

All houses and apartments are non-smoking properties.
Children are very welcome, a baby travel crib is available free of charge if required.
Please make sure that the comforter covers and fitted sheets are the right size. Towels should also be brought or can be ordered as a linen set with the comforter covers for €20 per set. For reasons of hygiene, we would ask you not to use sleeping bags under any circumstances! All fish cleaning must be done on the boat in the harbor or in the filleting house. Gutting and scaling the fish on or in the house is not permitted. Please dispose of fish waste at sea and not in the harbor basin.
