Awesome townhouse right on the loop

Stayed for a month and enjoyed the hot tub daily! The master bed was super comfy, master shower was great with great water pressure, kitchen had everything we needed, use of the garage was great for our car and storage of our bikes. The location was awesome, right on the loop trail! We would highly recommend this place, it was everything we needed and wanted, so much that we have booked it again!

Wonderful

We thoroughly enjoyed the month of January in Tucson at this wonderful VRBO. It's exactly as described. The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of dishes and tools in the kitchen, and plenty of towels, TP, etc in the bathrooms. The location is great - just 1/4 mile down the street from the Tucson Racquet Club (which offers monthly memberships) as well as the entrance to The Loop. The grocery store is about a 5 minute drive. We loved having a garage as we brought bikes and golf clubs so it was really nice to have a secure, easy access place to keep them. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Best VRBO I’ve ever rented

I totally enjoyed my stay at this lovely property! It far exceeded my expectations! It was beautifully decorated, comfortable and well stocked. The location was perfect as I walked the River walk every day and purchased a month membership at the Tucson Racquetball Club. Also the location lended easy access to many nice restaurants and shopping. I wanted to rent it next year but it’s already booked unfortunately. I loved that I could bring my dog too. Friendly neighbors as well! It will be hard to find a place as wonderful as this next year. Thank you again for renting this beautiful place! Jeanie Hull

Perfect for exploring Tucson

We can't say enough about this home! It was the perfect place for us to stay while we got away from the snow and cold of a midwestern winter. Features that we enjoyed included: * Well appointed kitchen with everything needed to cook and serve a wide range of meals * Comfortable and interesting furniture and decor * Roomy attached garage * Central location with very quick access to bike and walking trails, as well as proximity to grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, farmers market ... the list goes on * Nice linens, comfortable beds * Beautiful, cozy, and private back yard with hot tub and plunge pool. A great way to cap off the day! * Owner and property manager were super helpful and communicated promptly to any questions We'd be happy to stay here again!

A Hidden Gem

Desert Rose is truly elegant, comfortable, convenient, quiet, stocked with supplies & better than the pictures. We enjoyed nearby access to walks on the Loop & quick jaunts into the city. But best of all is returning “home” to relax inside with a wonderful kitchen, surround sound TV & views of the Catalina Mountains & stars outside from the awesome pool & hot tub. We look forward to our next visit.

The Beauty of The Desert Rose

We absolutely loved this property known as the Desert Rose! It was comfortable, beautifully decorated, close to wonderful restaurants and activities, and provided awesome views of the Santa Catalina mountains. Check in and check out were smooth, seamless and easy. The three months we stayed there went by in a heartbeat. The easy access to the Tucson Loop biking, hiking and jogging trail made it very convenient for us to do our daily early morning walks and jogs. Fitness facilities are nearby too! Finally, the spa and pool were fabulous, and we put them to good use. The entire place was wonderful, and we were sad to leave when the time came. We highly recommend The Desert Rose for anyone who wants a gorgeous and comfortable place from which to enjoy Tucson.

Tastefully decorated, well appointed, excellent location

Stayed three months and The place had everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is perfect for hundreds of miles of bicycling very close by, walking running, birdwatching, and meeting many friendly people. It is also a good location to easily get down town, to the university, and many nearby restaurants and shops. Going to the multiple state and national parks and county parks for gorgeous hiking of all levels is very easy. In all it is a very nice place.

Wonderful stay!

I cannot say enough about how nice this property is. Everything is exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The management team treated us wonderfully. I would definitely recommend this property! The location is really centrally located, with easy access to everything in Tucson. The river behind us actually ran twice while we were there. Would definitely consider this property again.

Lovely home, soured by property manager interactions

This home is in a good location for access to groceries, biking, and a walkway, and central enough to get everywhere in reasonable timeframes. It is quiet, inviting, and has lots of nice touches in artwork from around the world. We were pleasantly surprised by how well-stocked the kitchen is with cooking equipment; as people who like to do our own cooking, this was important. Similarly, the house had plenty of essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, extra pillows, and plenty of towels (though all towels in bathrooms were bleach-stained). The interior temperature of the house was 60 degrees when we arrived, unpleasantly cold living and sleeping for a couple days. It would have been nice if the heat could have been turned on just prior to our arrival. Interactions with the property manager were difficult and even distressing. We reported maintenance issues when we arrived, including a toilet that flooded the floor and one exterior door that did not close and lock. After no initial response for the first few days, we did get good response in short order after a follow-up. At the end of our 4-week stay, we were sent a 20-item list of interior and exterior cleaning to do (some requiring cleaning on a ladder), even though we pre-paid a hefty cleaning fee and there had been no indication on VRBO, in our rental contract, or in owner's on-site book, of these requirements (e.g. cleaning toilets with pumice). When prop mgr was asked why we were obligated to all the cleaning when we had paid for it and some was impossible given departure time (e.g. washing and storing all bedding and towels), and our age and disabilities, the response was "to assure return of security deposit". After some difficulty reaching the prop mgr, an agreement was reached about a limited amount of cleaning that we would have done anyway. In the spirit of cooperation we did considerably more - all but 6 of the 20 listed items. After departure, we were messaged we would not get our full deposit returned because the house was 'dirty' and there was a stain on the couch (which we reported earlier in our stay). Worse, the message accused me of lying when I reported the stain. A request for enumerated 'dirtiness' problems went unanswered. It was only after my very distressed response to the accusation about lying, and an appeal to the owner, that the security deposit was returned. Based on these interactions, I can't fully recommend what is otherwise a pleasant and lovely home.

Excellent introduction to Tucson

Our family just moved across the country to Tucson. We had the privilege of staying at Tory's home for several months while we searched for a more permanent rental. Our temporary home far surpassed our expectations. It's a beautiful, spacious and welcoming space inside and out helping to make us feel at home in a wildly different landscape! It was stocked for settling in and enjoying our time there with many thoughtful details all easing this temporary stage of our transition. We made full use of the sweet backyard enjoying the jacuzzi almost daily-- so easy to heat up in a moment or two and jump in to star gaze or dip back and forth from pool to hot tub to sipping drinks and sharing meals poolside. We also loved the quiet neighborhood, close to many amenities, groceries, cafes, restaurants, discovering, exploring and enjoying the local gems all within an easy commute in any direction. During the monsoons we watched the storms sweeping in and enjoyed seeing "the river" right behind fill up and flow wildly! and during the dryer months watching local wildlife running through the wash and the nearby desert landscape at the park-- just 2 blocks away-- a perfect destination for evening strolls to watch the breathtaking desert sunsets turning the mountains into a shining coral light display. What's more, Tory is an attentive and helpful owner who was very responsive to needs or concerns. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to land.

Convenient location and wonderful amenities

Where to begin? The townhouse is located within easy drives to downtown Tucson as well as many local attractions. The Rillito Loop is directly behind the house, offering exploration opportunities for the bicyclist and hiker. The house itself offers terrific Catalina Mountain views and is well equipped. The quiet street is set off from Country Club Road, so there is no traffic noise whatsoever. The Rio Vista Nature area is an easy 2 block walk from the house. The Jacuzzi and pool offer relief from the warmer area temps.

Excellent choice

We stayed at Borg lane for one month. Funky, unique architecture and classy appointments. Stunning Catalina views and sunsets! The location is very good, close to U of A, downtown, but also east side nature beauty. Very quiet street. The proximity to the Tennis and Raquetball club (with two nice pools) is great and do buy the $30 week or $52 month pass, much cheaper than day passes. Also direct connection to the bike trail, perfect for bicycle lovers! The spa and pool are not user friendly and one is well advised to get some personal training from Tom the pool man. Even then, we gave up on using the pool because you can't really get it to a good temperature when it needs to be heated. But that was a small problem given that everything else was first class!! Strongly recommended!

Great Location

We rented this beautiful condo without a personal referral (always iffy!). Walked into a sparkling clean, quiet, and "user friendly" home. Very comfortable, and just as advertised on VRBO.. This is a great location, central to almost anywhere you want to go/see/do. If you like to walk or bike, sidewalks are not common, but access to the Riverwalk is very close by (just off the Tennis Club parking lot.)

Beautiful Townhouse!

We stayed at this property for 3 months when we first moved to Tucson. It was our home while searching for a house to buy and getting oriented to a new town. We only had clothing, personal items and a few things that fit in the car but the property is so beautifully decorated and stocked with amenities that we never missed anything for three months!

elegant and comfortable

My wife and I stayed in this lovely Tucson townhouse during the month February 2011, and enjoyed every minute. The place is beautifully designed, from the architectural spaces, home furnishings and audio-video gear all the way to everyday household accessories such as glassware, dishes, and eating utensils. Tucson is quite spread out, and you need a car for most things, but this house is very well located, a short walk from one of the city’s favorite biking/hiking paths. You can depend on the accuracy of the VRBO listing, everything is as advertised, clean and well-maintained. Great hot tub on the patio just outside the house, with a wonderful view of each starry, starry night. Highly recommended.

I bought this home to have a little slice of Tucson. I live most of the time in Aspen, Co where I teach skiing and sell real estate. I was so impressed with the desert, and enjoy the difference between the lush mountains of Colorado and Arizona afford me.

Why they chose this property

I chose this property for it's perfect size. I love to entertain and this is all about the living area, but the Master bedroom suite and Guest bedroom offer gracious living spaces and plenty of closet space. Architecturally it's a winner with 20 foot ceilings, and large open floor plan.

I like to be in the center of it all Tucson has to offer, but wanted a bit of the country as well. The Rillito River wash offers that "bit of country." I've seen owls, coyotes, 1 javelina and endless bird life. Daily you will see Morning Doves and Quail. Lots of hawks as well.

What makes this property unique

If you like the outdoors or a gym or biking, this property is the perfect place for you. And it's nice to have your very own pool and jacuzzi where you can sit and relax. They're not large but they are totally private to you!

You'll find the house is fully stocked. From dishware to bedding, the furnishings are beautiful! I'm sure the photos attracted you to look further.

Giving good service is just my way-----making sure everything in the home is clean, in working order, and nothing but first class, so when you come for your vacation you can relax. And if anything breaks while you're there I have local staff to jump right on it and get it fixed. And if you're curious about the area or anything else you may always call me!
