Come join us for a relaxing week or weekend at Woolsey Road Cottage! Nestled in the Russian River Valley is where you will find our beautiful cottage with a covered porch overlooking our orchard, an inviting hot tub and fresh eggs from our girls! Our beautifully designed 840 sf cottage is located on our family’s 7 acre property 10 minutes to Santa Rosa, 15 minutes to the Russian River, 15 minutes to Healdsburg, 45 minutes to the Napa Valley and 1 hr. to San Francisco. Our cottage is perfect for two couples, a friend's getaway weekend or a small family ( children over age 10 only).

For those of you coming to the area to cycle, participate in our year round festivals and events or just to relax, our cottage is perfectly located and comfortably furnished with a full kitchen, bathroom and comfortable king and queen beds. Inside you will find all the necessities of modern life including WiFi, cable television and even a washer and dryer. Outside you have a beautiful covered deck accessible from the living room and master bedroom which overlooks a fully fenced backyard furnished with a BBQ, outdoor eating area, outdoor living room on the deck, hot tub, bocce ball court and lots of privacy.

In the summer and fall months our orchard and garden overflow with fruit and vegetables which we enjoy sharing with our guests. We also have a flock of happy hens (our girls) that love to provide you with fresh eggs (when available).

Peaceful and private

This well-appointed, cozy cottage was the perfect stay for my husband and me while vacationing in wine country. The patio/deck area with lots of comfortable seating, hot tub, and grill is surrounded by a fence which gives it a private and relaxing ambience. The kitchen had all the accessories needed to stay in and cook. And for evenings we were too relaxed to cook or go out for dinner, we had several options for Uber Eats. The king size bed was comfortable and the large sofa in the living area made R&R attainable. We also appreciated the in-house washer/dryer to freshen a load of clothes. The location is excellent for a peaceful and quiet (the nearby airport was not bothersome) country-side stay, yet close enough and easy to get somewhere within minutes by vehicle. We will book this cottage again in the future.

The Perfect "Home Base" for a Napa/Sonoma Trip

Every minute of our time here was wonderful--the cabin is lovely and set up to be a great place to stay and relax for a while or to serve as a home base as you head out to various local attractions. We looked at properties in Sonoma and Napa proper as well as in Bodega Bay and around the Russian River; the cabin turned out to be the best possible choice because of its easy proximity to EVERYTHING combined with its peaceful, off-the-beaten-path location. Very good wi-fi, very good water pressure (these are things I always wonder about when looking on VRBO), impeccably clean (including the hot tub), and great communication with the owners who were close but never intrusive or hovering. (And look, those farm fresh eggs are no joke! They made for fantastic breakfasts each morning!)

35TH Wedding Anniversary Trip

Our total experience here at the cottage was wonderful! LOVED the Bocce Courts and Hot Tub. It made our evenings very entertaining! The cottage itself was well appointed and the owners were quick to check in and make sure everything was satisfactory. We even received fresh eggs from the hens on the premises from the owners. It was such a treat! We were greeted by Jay the very friendly cat who hated to see us go and went underneath our car to make sure we could not. Thanks Cindy & Bill for a lovely time!

Perfect

Cindy was a great host. Although we did not meet or speak in person, she was warm and welcoming in the messages we exchanged. The cottage is in a perfect location with major groceries and shopping nearby, but still felt quiet and secluded. A perfect home base to explore wine country or just stay in and relax. Would absolutely stay again.

Our Sonoma County Home

What a great experience my wife and I had at the Woolsey Cottage. It was our cozy, comfortable home after our days of sightseeing and wine tasting in the Sonoma and Napa regions. The owners Cindy and Bill were wonderful. They have a beautiful cottage, and it met our every expectation. The house was super clean. Everythig we need was provided. We had all we needed in the kitchen to do meals every day. Cindy even brought by a fresh dozen eggs one morning from their small farm. Delicious!! The cottage is located in a nice quite area. This made for peaceful, relaxing walks or even evenings in the hot tubs. We could not have had a better experience. This is certainly a cottage we will recommend to family and friends who might want to visit the area. We hope we can make it back there soon.

In the heart of the Russian River Valley

What a WONDERFUL cottage located in the middle of the Russian River Valley. Minutes from the Sonoma County Airport, and minutes from dozens of fabulous wineries. The cottage is located on a beautiful plot of land that feels like you are in the country. Cindy (owner) came over to meet us our first day and was a magnificent host our entire stay. She sent us free fresh eggs from their chickens. You cannot go wrong with this cottage!

Absolutely perfect!

Words can’t express how perfect this property is! Meticulously clean and super convenient location within minutes of the Santa Rosa airport. The cottage itself was darling and just the right size for me and my husband but there was plenty of room for another couple . The kitchen was well appointed and had everything needed to cook a meal (although we didn’t😁). The outdoor space is lovely as well complete with a grill, hot tub and plenty of comfortable seating. We really appreciated all the extras like the Kuerig with k-cups, filtered water on the buffet and even a full bin of ice in the freezer. We will definitely book here again when visiting our family!!

Perfect Stay for our Cycling Trip

This is a perfect base when participating in an organized cycling ride through the spectacular Sonoma wine regions. After being on a bike all day, it was wonderful to return to a charming, clean and comfy cottage. A soak in the hot tub under the stars eased sore muscles. Bed was so comfy that I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. And when we weren’t riding, there were exceptional wineries within minutes of the cottage. Recommendations: Andy’s Produce Market to stock the kitchen. Gravensteins Grill and Ramen Gaijin for great dinner options. Willow Wood Market Cafe for lunch or brunch.

Family Reunion

Wine country getaway

We stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. The location was ideal for the things we had planned- kayaking and outdoor activities along with some wine tasting. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Cindy was very responsive when we had a minor issue with the hot tub and had everything repaired immediately. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, we grilled dinner and played bocce one night, and the porch was so peaceful for having coffee in the mornings. I'm looking forward to returning for a future trip.

Exceeded my expectations. Incredible cottage in the middle of the wine country.

Beautiful location. Well stocked with extra of everything you need. Wine bottle as a welcome. Hot tub ready to go every evening after returning from our day out. Fresh Eggs from the hens that run around the property. Location is central to seeing all of the wineries and sites In Sonoma county. Thoughtfully Delightful

This is a beautiful, comfortable home with so many lovely and thoughtful touches that we just kept discovering new bits to like. It's scrupulously clean- not even a cobweb outside- and so well maintained. We enjoyed comfortable beds, the taller shower head, lovely outdoor chairs, the beautiful view and finding just about anything we could have thought to need from fans to an iron to cotton swabs. Plus the location is perfect to enjoy all the general area has to offer. The four of us (3 generations of women) definitely hope to return.

Beautiful Property

We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our 3 day winery excursion. The property was amazing and nestled amongst several vineyards that could be seen from the front and back door. We loved the bocce ball court and hot tub. We were able to walk to a nearby winery. The amenities made it perfect since most wineries close early, we had a grill, cooking supplies, and a good area to play cards. We will absolutely stay here again next time we are in town!

Wonderful Cottage, Excellent Vacation Stay

My wife and I stayed at the Woolsey Road Cottage - located in the Russian River area - for 5 days and 4 nights in March. We were very impressed with the well kept cottage and grounds. The queen bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The hosts provided a nice selection of cooking condiments and bathroom toiletries. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine and farm fresh eggs. My wife noted that the hardwood floors can be cool in the months like March, bring your slippers. The hot tub is fantastic and the propane grill is spot on for a nice afternoon bbq. Boutique wineries are close by. If you are a cyclist like me, bring your bike. The are plenty of loops starting right from the cottage that range from flat to easy rollers to challenging climbs. Very relaxing stay for us. Great communication from booking to check out from our hosts. We highly recommend the Woolsey Road cottage!

Fantastic location, Private, Comfortable & Convenient

The cottage is located as such that it has beautiful views all around yet it is private. One can find all the comforts of home in this cottage. It is very clean with adequate supply of towels, blankets etc. The hot tub is well maintained and it is a delight. It has great wifi coverage and fast internet connection. The hosts thought about every single detail to make your experience is a one to remember. It is close to everything from Safari West, Petrified Forest, Charles Schulz Museum and plenty of wineries . Our kids loved playing at the bocce ball court, checking out the chickens and the horses in the property. We visited the area during the atmospheric river conditions and it was a delight to get back to the cottage after rain soaked adventures in the wine country and relax and recharge for the next day. Thanks Cindy and Bill for a vacation to remember.

Honeymoon to remember

Everything about the property was spot on, and was an incredible way to relax! Owners had the place stocked with random items to help make it feel more like home, and we were greeted by their dog upon check-in! Couldn’t have been any better.

Perfect Stay in Wine Country!

We had an amazing stay in wine country! The cottage is perfectly located..it's just private enough and just close enough to everywhere you want to be. It's cozy, comfortable, well maintained and has everything you need in the way of amenities for a perfect stay. The back patio, hot tub and views of vineyards across the way were lovely! Cindy was excellent to work with from beginning to end and checked in on us a few times, even leaving us farm fresh eggs and tomatoes on the porch! I wouldn't hesitate to rent the cottage again! Pleasant, comfortable, private and convenient

An extremely pleasant stay in wine country. The cottage is very comfortable and nicely maintained. It’s removed and quite private, yet so convenient to everywhere we wanted to be. Cindy is a great host, extremely communicative, and she made everything so easy. Not to mention farm fresh eggs, what a treat!
