Great location & an even better host

We stayed at Lisa's place the weekend of the French quarter fest and had a wonderful time. Lisa knows the city and gave us alot of great info about the area. The trolley is within walking distance and so is magazine street. I addition, Lisa makes a wonderful breakfast. I definitely recommend staying here during your New Orleans visit. We'll be back for another festival and will be staying there again.

Wonderful Location Wonderful Hospitality

We stayed at the Old World Charm Uptown for 4 days and loved it. The location was perfect; three blocks from the street cars and bus routes that take you anywhere you want to go. Lisa was a wonderful hostesses. She made us feel like family, and even cooked for us too! The facilities were perfect and quaint with all the amenities needed for a wonderful trip to New Orleans. We will be returning. Thank you Lisa for opening your home to us. The Clifton's

Great Location, Great Hosts

I came in for Homecoming weekend at Tulane. It is such a nice location just off Magazine Street and close enough to the St. Charles Avenue street car to ride down to Tulane! Lisa is the perfect hostess. It was such a pleasure to stay with Lisa and her family in this New Orleans home!

Such a great spot for our weekend visit!

Lisa and Ben went out of their way to make us feel at home, from fixing an issue with the cable to a delicious homemade breakfast! Will definitely be staying there again!

Such a wonderful cute house!

We enjoyed our stay! The house was spacious and Mrs. Lisa is perhaps the most inviting host I have ever stayed with. She makes REALLY good gumbo too. She exceeded our expectations on everything. She is very knowledgeable of the area and has some great recommendations about food and fun. I highly recommend staying with her and we will be back soon. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful time!!!

Uptown Charm Indeed

We stayed at Lisa's property on Halloween weekend 2016. Lisa was responsive and attentive from the time of our booking through our stay even though she was out of town on vacation. It was fun to stay in an historic home off of Magazine Street in New Orleans. There were many amenities within walking distance on Magazine St. This is a nice, safe neighborhood.

Great location, even better host!

Where do I begin? My friend and I had one of the best weekends ever in Lisa's listing. The location was amazing, a less than five minute walk to magazine street but we would go back just to stay with Lisa again. She is the most incredible, accommodating and kind host I've ever stayed with. She was always accessible before and during our stay. She even dropped my friend and I off at jazzfest, going completely beyond her obligation as a host and just being an amazing person. If you have the chance to stay with her, take it. Just don't take it during jazzfest because hopefully my friend and I will be staying with her again!

Cozy home with Helpful Owner

Owner is very lovely and welcoming! Ask for what you need. She is very responsive. House is near #11 bus line and Magazine Street. Lots of little shops and great restaurants! Bedroom has its own bathroom with shower which is great! Room has new flat screen TV. House is being updated little by little. Quiet neighborhood. Good for 2 people to use as home base while sightseeing in NOLA. There is street parking available.

A lovely work in progressp

The highlight of this property is the owner, Lisa. She is delightful, helpful and tries to meet your needs. She even bought us wine and let us use anything in her refrigerator! We also installed a new flat screen TV in the bedroom while we were there! The room itself is only for 2 people and perhaps a small child. There is an adjoining bathroom. The facilities are in progress. Bathroom is nice but lighting needs to be improved. The bedroom is also in progress. Again, lighting and electrical needs to be improved. A 2 block walk to city bus. A little further walk to some great restaurants on Magazine Street. In a real neighborhood. Thank you, Lisa, for your great hospitality!

Great location, Great hostess

My wife and I visited New Orleans for a weekend away. We immensely enjoyed the location and the charm of the home! It also helped that our hostess was absolutely welcoming. Wine in our room and toiletries just in case we left any of our own. The house was in the perfect location and we found the home very comfortable. Thank you for making our stay an enjoyable one!

Home Away from Home

Loved staying at Lisa's! She is so welcoming and a fabulous hostess. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood that is close to all of New Orleans hot spots. We will be recommending to all of our family and friends that are looking for an affordable place in the heart of the city.

Nawlins Weekend

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to stay for the Memorial day weekend and I stumbled upon this little gem. From the moment we arrived Lisa made us feel at home. The location was perfect to jump on the street car or walk two blocks and find some great places to eat. The accomodations were perfect for us two for the three days. This is a perfect alternative to the pricey hotel options out there especially for holiday weekends. I plan to visit this property again in the future.
