The home and property were perfect! Very clean and neat and welcoming. The view was amazing and it could not have been better! The hosts were so kind and quick to reply to any messages. We felt very blessed to have had the opportunity to stay in their lovely home and we will be back!
We spent Thanksgiving on the coast with our twenty something daughters and my 80 something mom and it was everything we needed and more. We cooked a feast in the kitchen with fantastic views and enjoyed walking the beach. Furniture is so nice and comfy- especially the primary room bed. Stairs to get to main level with good handrails and well lit were safe for mom. Just wish we could have stayed longer!
Loved the easy beach access and of course, the gorgeous views and sunsets!! Obsessed with the layout of the house and excellent commutation with the hosts.
The host is amazing and great. Super friendly and great communication. The house is well stocked in the kitchen area. There’s also a bunch of blankets and pillows. The house is super homie and not to mention the views of the beach.
Walking to the beach isn’t bad maybe a 10/15 min walk. Be careful at night the deer’s like to walk around at night
Such a lovely home with amazing views. Beach access a short walk away. Great amenities! Loved the ping pong table. Great responses from owner! Highly suggest!
Although you have to walk to the end of the block to get access to the beach, the ocean is right there across the street. You can't beat the view! The house was clean and well maintained, and I would definitely stay here again!
Very clean, comfortable, spacious home with an ocean view.
We loved the place.
The young adults loved the ping pong table in the garage and the jet tub.
I found the king sized bed very comfortable.
The home is clean and uncluttered while being well stocked.
A short walk to the beach or drive to the casino or town.
We would love to stay here again.
We loved our stay! Our 3 young adult kids (21, 19, and 15) slept in the open loft space. Master bedroom is huge and comfortable. Great views of ocean from living room. Enjoyed separate den for Olympics viewing and gaming. Easy walk to beautiful beach! Host very responsive. Would definitely return here!
We’ve stayed at Cindy’s property the last seven years and as usual the house fit our needs perfectly. Great views, fully stocked and easy walk to the beach.
We had a fantastic spring break. The house is perfectly located close to the beach and it has everything that you could possibly need! Our boys loved each having a bed in the loft so they had their own space.
We stayed for 3 nights and spent much of it in the house as a typical Oregon coast early spring wind/downpour raged outside for all of a night and part of the next day, turning to intermittent showers. It is a nice house, with good separation of spaces for kids and adults. The upper space has 3 beds with good separation. Note the lamps. They are fun, and the entire place has nice furnishings and decor. The view is very good, though public utility wires intrude into the view of the ocean. Still, a good view overall. Kitchen well equipped, nice dining table and area, and decent TV's with good channel access. The one caveat I would offer is that it is not a good option for anyone with problems with stairs. There are four flights of varying length. If you have an knee or other leg injury or disability, you may tire of the climb/descent. We did have the misfortune of experiecing a problem with the furnace, which would not ignite. So we spent the first night in a pretty chilly house. But the very accommodating owner agreed that we would obtain a couple space heaters the next a.m. at their expense to save the trip. They worked fine. The owner said trouble shooting the furnace problem would begin the day after our Sunday departure, so no reason to believe that this was either a foreseeable issue or one likely to repeat. I mention it only because working with the owner was very easy, not always the case with other properties we have rented. So enjoy!
This home was immaculate and even the pictures provided on site don't do justice to how beautiful this place was: from all the windows for ocean viewing to the master bedroom which was spacious and relaxing (which we occupied since we came as a couple). Thank you Cindy and Dave for allowing us to share your beach home for a few days--a four day stay was just right and we would have loved to stay longer. Thank you for being such gracious hosts.

About the host
Hosted by Cindy and John Davis
We are John and Cindy from Sherwood OR. We are newly empty nesters with three grown children. Our last one is finishing college at Linfield. We've spent the last two decades watching our children play about every sport in high school and college. We do miss it, but we now have more time to vacation. John is still working getting closer to retirement each year, but its still in the horizon. We love to getaway even if its a day and drive to the beach.
Why they chose this property
Our first consideration in purchasing a beach home was to find one close to our home in Sherwood. Next we wanted to find one at Roads End because we love it there whether we are taking long walks along the beach or playing poker at Chinook Winds. It was our number one favorite destination. We chose this house for the beautiful open design, ocean views and proximity to everything we love to do.
What makes this property unique
All homes in Roads End are unique because of the location. What we loved about this home was the unique craftsmenship and open and spacious floor plan with vaulted ceilings. It also has plenty of large windows for ocean/whale watching.
