About this property

Beautiful townhome near the Peninsula Golf Course with an easy walk to the beach and a short drive to downtown.

Pelican Landing is a beautifully furnished townhouse with single garage near the Peninsula Golf Course -- an easy walk to the beach or a short drive to downtown. The atmosphere of this home is relaxed, with a touch of elegance, set amid the dunes and the beach pines, within walking distance to the beach or the Peninsula Golf Course. To access the beach, please use the public path located at the West end of The Breakers parking lot.

At 1700 square feet, Pelican Landing is both one of the largest 3-bedroom units on the peninsula and one of the only units that boasts not one, but TWO master suites. The ground floor master suite features an elegant four-poster queen bed, propane fireplace, TV, private deck, and large attached bathroom with walk-in shower. The second-floor master has a beautiful queen bed with French styled rich cherry frame, large, attached bathroom and connected walk-in closet. The main level has the kitchen, living room, third powder room, laundry, and garage. The living room couch conveniently includes a hide-a-bed. The third bedroom includes twin trundle beds and is located upstairs adjacent to the second master suite and loft. Also located in the loft is a convertible futon chair. The kitchen is bright and well-equipped with pots, pans, dishes, glasses and silverware. There is a full-size range, fridge, and dishwasher. For evenings or rainy days there’s cable TV with DVD in the living room, as well as a propane fireplace. For your comfort, Pelican Landing is no smoking and no pets, please.

Besides 2 golf courses, there’s great shopping and a variety of restaurants close by in the downtown core, plus lots of things for the kids to do – arcades, carnival rides, miniature golf and more. The Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve. Long Beach and Seaview feature a variety of eateries from casual family restaurants to upscale restaurants and cafes. After dinner you can walk the boardwalk to enjoy one of our colorful sunsets too.

There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. The Port of Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment are only a short drive away, as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July and the Blues and Seafood Festival in August. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon.

On the north end of the Peninsula is Ocean Park, with bookstores, restaurants and gift stores. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters or pastries and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. Or try the course at the Surfside Golf Course north of Ocean Park. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Leadbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay. Make sure you stop in historic Oysterville to see the wonderful old church there too.

Not recommended.
Only one burner on the stove worke. The worst thing was that smoke alarm running out batteries and keep beeping in the middle of night

Nice Place
Easy in and out. Very comfortable accommodations. Sleeping 8 would be a bit of a stretch, but for 5 adult men sharing the place it was OK. We’ll probably look to stay there again next year.

Great place for a stay at the beach!
Nice, clean, comfortable home just a short drive from restaurants, stores and entertainment. There is a path for a short walk to the beach less than 100 feet from the front door.

Great House Close to the Beach
House is everything you would want in a beach house rental. Close to the beach with an easy walking path to a less crowded section of beach. Close driving distance to downtown and places like Cape Disappointment.

This was a cozy, clean duplex home. We enjoyed the quiet setting and the relatively short walk to the beach. We found all appliances in good working order. Would stay here again.

Long Beach getaway
Two main bedrooms are roomy and have big bathrooms. The location is easy and next to a walking path to the beach. We especially loved biking the Discovery trail which can be accessed a couple of blocks away and the paved trail goes completely off road all the way to Cape Disappointment and the lighthouses. One thing we missed was an outdoor patio - space to bbq.

An Excellent Experience…
My sister and I are planning to relocate to the area in the near future and wanted a comfortable place to use as our home base while exploring the coastlines of WA and OR. This property was absolutely perfect and provided us with every possible comfort. Extremely clean, beautifully appointed, and a pleasure to return to after our long days of driving. A+++.

Great weekend at the beach
Took the cruiser bikes on the costal trail. Grabbed take out from the Malai Thai (pad see ew, was great) and the local Chinese restaurant. Caught the sunrise from the costal trail both days. Go carting with the kids was a highlight and the summer activities in town leave lots to do on the next trip.

Fun for the whole family!
Me, my husband, 2 kids (6 & 9), parents and sister all stayed for spring break. We had plenty of room, the house is walking distance to the beach, and a short drive to downtown. The house was great…nicely decorated, well stocked, nice amenities, plenty of room and clean. One thing to note is one “bedroom” with a twin fold out chair is actually more like a loft. It’s at the top of the stairs and not enclosed so is noisy but depending on your group that may be fine. I definitely recommend going to cape disappointment park and the center and museum there is great! Overall a great stay and we would definitely stay again!

Great location
We enjoyed our stay for the most part. Cleanliness a 3 because of floors. We took shoes off at door and our socks got very dirty walking around. Accuracy of listing score because I felt rooms looked bigger in pics than they were. Hide a bed in living room and pull out upstairs were both very uncomfortable and there were not enough blankets to keep us all warm. Door lock didn’t seem to be working right but communication was great with agent for responding with help. Location was great, enjoyed quick walk to beach

Misleading Listing
THis was a nice property and met our needs. HOwever, the listing was a little misleading, because it was not a stand alone condo and connected to the neighbor. It also was not on the front line with a beach view. It did have good beach access, but not a beach view. We also had to do a lot of cleaning before we left. It made me question the extra fees and cleaning fees. Nice rooms, however. Having a washer dryer was a plus.

Sadly, Not Too Pleasant
When we arrived toilet paper was greatly lacking. We made a call to have some delivered. Dishwasher and laundry room also lacked enough to complete washing all that was asked of us. Kitchen stove sparked twice and the breaker went out. Most of the stove burners would not heat up or did it sporadically making all our holiday cooking pretty complicated and frustrating. Kitchen had no mixing bowls, only a plastic salad bowl and small plastic serving bowl. We used pots and pans to mix with. We were pretty overwhelmed with all of these issues and our stay was not as great as we had hoped for the Christmas season.

Very nice house
We enjoyed our trip, and the house was very nice. The property management team was helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed and all the little incidentals. The major items (comfy beds, good furniture) were excellent and the little touches were perfect (soft linens, games, candles, etc.) The one thing that was a disappointment was that the listing shows this house as having a jetted tub. We chose this house over several other choices because of it. It does not have a jetted tub. This made one of us very sad. But other than that, the house met all our needs and exceeded our expectations. I would have given it five stars if we had not been led to believe the jetted tub was there.

Cozy, well-laid out home
We stayed in this home late March. It was a little chilly outside, but we quickly warmed up when we turned on the heat and the fireplaces. This is small condo, but well laid out which makes it easy to gather as a group, or find a comfortable spot alone. There are extra folding chairs if you have guests. The master bedroom downstairs is really nice, with a gas fireplace and TV, as well as little balcony to enjoy a cup of coffee alone. The 2 bedrooms upstairs were perfectly adequate, with a comfortable bed and whimsical decorations in the second MB, and a little third bedroom with a trundle bed (no heater in the bedroom). It worked out perfectly well for 2 children who shared that room, with enough extra blankets and sheets to make everyone comfortable at night. Little lamp as a night light. There's also a sort of loft/ family room upstairs, outside the bedrooms. Its a cozy little space to read a book or take a little snooze, with a love seat and glider. Perfect for a nursing mother. I liked that there were kids books on a little bookshelf there. Its a fun space for kids to hang out quietly. The living room is well equipped with a good collection of classic movies on VHS, which I found nostalgic and enjoyable. :) (There are a few on DVD too.) There's also a cupboard full of family games and puzzles--we really enjoyed the puzzle, especially when we couldn't go to the beach. The kitchen is quite small, but -2 people can easily maneuver to prepare a meal, and that's all you need. Bathrooms clean, plenty of towels, 1 hairdryer. The one thing you should know is that internet and phone access was very limited here. It made it difficult to communicate with others. So if you come, plan for it to be more of a wireless weekend where you disconnect from social media and news, and just reconnect with everyone in your party. There's a binder with local recommendations, so you have an idea of what is available for food and entertainment. I recommend Dooger's Seafood and Grill for the fish and chips, everyone really enjoyed that meal. You can hear the ocean from the house, a nice bonus. I like that you can go straight to the laundry room through the garage and avoid dripping water and sand throughout the house. Overall, this home was clean, cozy, charming and well equipped with the basics we needed. We all enjoyed our stay and would come back again. :)
