Are you looking for that special place to take a break and enjoy a weekend retreat, honeymoon, or family vacation? We invite you to experience and enjoy a vacation at our North Mission Beach ocean front vacation property.

Imagine walking into a beautiful beachfront property and starting the day in the living room or dining room with your favorite beverage using the Internet with our wireless connection, while looking out at the dolphins swimming by and surfers catching the waves.

Imagine sitting out on the patio in the afternoon taking in a little sun while reading your favorite book. Imagine walking barefoot on the beach with a family member or significant other and watching a spectacular sunset. Imagine preparing that special meal, enjoying a candlelight dinner, and enjoying our new 40" television. Imagine going to sleep at night in a king sized bed with the sound of the Pacific Ocean right outside your window.

While you are enjoying your vacation at our North Mission Beach ocean front vacation rental you will have access to a one bedroom, one bathroom (525 square foot) condominium with upgraded ceiling fans, window tinting, TV/DVD/CD player, bathroom vanity, kitchen cabinets, kitchen counters, dishwasher, and microwave. A sleeper sofa will sleep two additional people.

A washer and dryer, towels, and linens will make your stay at beach recess a little more enjoyable and please take advantage of the patio area for relaxing, barbecues, and casual conversations with people passing by on the boardwalk.

When you are making vacation plans and truly want a clean, comfortable, complete, and safe condominium on the beach you really need to consider this premier North Mission Beach ocean front vacation rental. Visitors and locals agree that beach recess has one of the best views of the San Diego coastal coastline. During the summer, we only rent from Saturday - Saturday.

Beach Lover Paradise
You never leave the beach when you stay at this gem. A second floor balcony overlooking the sand provides plenty of privacy while you're front and center for all the fun. Kurt is a terrific owner to work with. We'll be back.

Great location!
We have stayed here about 6 or 7 times and find the location is far enough from the pier to be relatively quiet, but not too far to walk in for dinner. We have stayed in several condos in the Mission Beach area but have gravitated to this unit and will continue to do so.

Fantastic, all day beach
The property was just fantastic! The distance to the beach is literally a "stones throw" away...even if you don't throw so good! In between that distance from the patio to the beach is the boardwalk. A literal parade of people! BUT....the privacy glass makes it so NOBODY can see into the living quarters! INCREDIBLE! We will never go to another property in San Diego for Vacation!

You never leave the beach when you're staying at this gem. The second floor location / balcony and reflective windows offer plenty of privacy while you are front and center for all the action. We booked our next stay before the first one even ended. Terrific owner, very responsive.

Incredible experience for much needed respite.
As our first VRBO and first family vacation since before the pandemic, we felt safe and relaxed as soon as we arrived. The location could not have been more perfect! We had read another review about this spot being further away from the crowds, and that made such a huge difference in our comfort level. We had a little snafu in getting in, and Kurt was accessible, friendly and helpful. Once we were in, it was very evident that everything had been well cleaned prior to our arrival (my husband even commented about how great the linens smelled)! I cannot say enough about the perfection of this location, it is pristine! Traveling with a 3 year old could have presented challenges, but even she was in awe of the closeness to the beach. We enjoyed lots of playtime in the sand, jumping in the surf and people watching. We even masked up one day and walked down to Belmont Park, which was not too crowded and lots of fun! Overall, this spot is simply wonderful and we would love to come back!

Great beach retreat!
The condo was in such a great location! Right on the beach and boardwalk, within walking distance of restaurants and stores. But the best part is this location is not near any of the larger parking lots so the beach is not crowded. The condo is clean and supplied with everything you need. The windows are huge and look out right on the beach and there is a small deck with chairs so you can enjoy the view from inside or from the deck. It's perfect for a couple or family's stay at the beach.

Wonderful little gem at the beach!
We loved our week here. Such a perfect gem for a small family. Immaculate and well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, unbeatable location! Kurt was very attentive and helpful. Plenty of restaurants right within walking distance, and a Ralphs close by. We definitely hope to be back. Thanks again!

Amazing beach front condo
It doesn’t get much better than this. Great view of mission beach and walking distance from the grocery store, coffee, and dining. Clean and comfortable.

Perfect Beach Vacation
This property was perfect for us! You could watch the sunset from your couch! Lol but we didn’t, we sat on the beach each night and watched the beautiful sunset! The house is well equipped, newly updated, clean and comfortable for a couple. Would definitely recommend it and would love to return!

Flew in for NCAA tourney. Chose this place because I've stayed at Pacific Beach/Mission Beach area numerous times and have always been beyond satisfied with our accommodations. Where to begin. I emailed owner couple of days prior to inquire about early check-in and his exact response, "We have guests that are checking out at 10:00 am and your check-in time will be 3:00 p.m. Our housekeepers need enough time to prepare the property for you to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Regards, Kurt." This is important, here's why: We arrived well past 3:00 pm and once inside we immediately realized this was a dump. A piece of tissue on the floor, dirty trash can, coffee grounds on kitchen counter and floor, coffee maker with dirty filter, and a note on the counter from previous renter apparently complaining - their writing hard to decipher so not sure. They left a ziplock back containing coffee grounds for owner as proof of complaint along with letter. I opened fridge and more coffee grounds. In the fridge?? Also there, previous tenant's half used package of bacon and other used food items. Late for basketball game so left. There's more. Upon returning I realized the bed had not been made!! The comforter was tossed over bed but upon pulling it back revealed sheets in disarray from previous renter. At this point I called Kurt to "emergency number" but got his machine and left a detailed voicemail of my displeasure. Upon returning later (no call back) got ready for bed noticed brown stains (I know!!) on the bathroom floor mat and realized the sink doesn't drain. Yup, after brushing my teeth had to reach into the dirty water and lift drain stop. Pulled two sheets from the linen closet and used them as bed spread and cover. Woke up, checked voicemails, there was Kurt apologizing for "His bad" and offered to refund us our cleaning deposit. For something that was never done?? Or... he could have the maid come over right now because she's really responsible. Obviously, right? I told him not satisfactory, for obvious reasons. He offered up no other solution. We packed up and as we were leaving I ran into Kurt in his wetsuit, carrying his surfboard, and received a second hollow apology. He never once came up to speak with us or even take a look at the condo, and I believe he lives in the condo below. Those must have been some tasty waves. I took pics of everything and am disputing with my CC company. The CC rep was rightfully disgusted as well.

What a delight!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this ocean front condo. It was the perfect size for the two of us with everything we could possibly want. The bed is comfortable and listening to the waves at night was very relaxing. We watched yoga classes on the beach and surfing lessons in the ocean, all from our living room or the patio. Great access to surrounding recreational opportunities (surfing, swimming, sailing, fishing, boogey boarding, running, bicycling, and boating. The temperatures are mild, beautiful in the summer, and plenty of blue sky in the winter. This property is our favorite because it is neat clean, and the views of the dolphins, surfers, and sunsets are sensational. With a washer/dryer, WiFi, and ocean views from the bedroom, living room, dining room, and kitchen, you literally have everything you need to relax.
