Deluxe Beachfront Log Home on Lake Huron at D.I. offers Privacy, Views, WIFI

Newly built in 2000, this gorgeous vacation home comfortably accommodates up to seven people. The master bedroom is outfitted with a queen-size custom made log bed, a master bath with large jet tub, and an exquisite view of the bay. A massive stone fireplace sets the tone for the tastefully decorated living area, featuring a separate dining area and complete kitchen. A spiral staircase leads up to the cozy loft and its excellent view of the bay. The full length bay windows overlook Lake Huron, numerous islands and Canada. For those relaxing summer nights, sit on the large deck with a built-in gas grill, and comfortable patio furniture... perfect to watch the sunset! Or enjoy the view from the screened-in porch. The second bedroom also has a beautiful custom made rustic bed, and a lake view. The third bedroom has a bunkbed with a double on the bottom. A perfect place to relax while enjoying privacy and nature's beauty. As a bonus, Island Retreat offers 200 movies to choose from! NOW WITH INTERNET/WIFI! In June 2021, a propane firepit on the deck by the water was added. NOTE: As of June 2020, I have just installed a new furnace with an attached REME HALO, which is designed to eliminate sick building syndrome risks by reducing odors, air pollutants, chemical odors, smoke, mold, bacteria and VIRUSES. In June 2021, House is installed with one ActivePure Air & Surface Pro, developed by NASA and in the Space Hall of Fame, it is the most powerful and proven air and surface purification technology ever discovered!
Rental weeks in summer will now be from Sunday to Sunday! THERE IS A ONE-WEEK MINIMUM FROM LATE JUNE THROUGH EARLY SEPTEMBER. THERE IS A TWO-NIGHT MINIMUM DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR. There is additionally a three-night minimum for Memorial Day weekend and for Thanksgiving. There is a one week minimum for the week of Oct. 8-15, 2023.

Great Location and Property

Quick 5 min drive to gas/groceries/restaurants and beautiful view from living room and decks. Owner was very quick to reply to questions and was very helpful!

Such an Awesome place

This is an amazing cabin. Beautifully decorated, everything and anything you needed was there. The views are breathtaking. Drummond Island is well worth the trip, so laid back and just island life. Rick made sure everything was perfect for us. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back.

Birthday Celebration

We spent a long weekend at this home. The view is stunning! The home is clean and well maintained. We had 6 adults and 3 dogs and there was plenty of room with each couple having their own bedroom. We took side by sides and spent a full day exploring. We enjoyed the local restaurants (we never had a bad meal or poor service). We saw plenty of wildlife including a mink and a fox. Communication with the owner was always prompt not to mention helpful and courteous. We were there in late March and it was so quiet and peaceful. We felt almost as if we had the whole island to ourselves. Would love to return some time in the future.

Best place to stay on Drummond

The cabin was SO NICE!! It was fit with everything you need, comfortable beds, plenty of room, and the view is amazing. It's quiet, wooded, but yet close enough to town. I don't think theres anything i would have changed.... I would definitely rent here again!!

Bad beds

We only stayed one night as the bed in the master bedroom was totally uncomfortable. There was also the smell of urine around the toilet in the master bathroom and the kitchen table was sticky. Our friend stayed out the week but we couldn’t survive on that bed.

Great getaway!

We enjoyed our week's stay on Sturgeon Bay. The kitchen was weel stocked with all the basics. We also used the gas grill and firepit often. Sunsets, listening to the loons, and watching the Osprey dive for their next meals were highlights. Oh, and so was getting up at 2:30 in the morning one day to catch my first glimpse of the Northern Lights!

Perfection

This was the perfect spot for our family with older and younger kids. Access to the lake was easy for our youngest and we could sit and keep an eye on him. There was plenty of space and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. We loved being on the island because it ensured that we relaxed just like we had planned. My husband was able to do some shore fishing and I found several places to run and explore. Thank you for sharing your place so we could discover the UP!
