Contemporary Lewes Beach home located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac adjacent to green space/canal within short walk to downtown (there is a even a trail through the woods leading to the marina area and Irish Eyes). Pet-friendly with fenced yard and great dog running space close by. The house can accommodate anywhere from 8 - 12 guests by combining the first floor apartment with the rest of the house. See below for details.
The main house is located on a the second level and features a generous master bedroom (king) with ensuite bath and direct access to the rear Charleston porch and rooftop widow's walk. The second bedroom (queen) has an ensuite bath and deck with sitting area with wooded views. The third bedroom (queen) is directly across from a full hallway bath, and the fourth bedroom is an open room with two bunks and a full sleeper sofa. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is open to a sunroom, dining area and living room with large screen TV as well as direct access to a covered outdoor dining porch and grilling area. A second, private nautical styled rear living/family room with bar/sink/microwave, beverage fridge and fireplace with TV has direct access to the Charleston-styled porch with two-person hot tub and access to the rooftop widow's walk with incredible views of the bay. Perfect for sunset cocktails or sunrise yoga. This second living area makes this house ideal for groups and families.

There is also a newly renovated beautiful 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment downstairs with a screened-in porch, brand-new kitchen and generous living and dining area available for an additional $250/night. We do not rent the apartment out separately, but do use it on occasional weekends if it is not rented to the upstairs guests. A separate entrance makes this a great space for grandparents or for a family with 1-2 kids, or those desiring a bit more privacy.

The house features a three-bay garage with kayaks, bikes and beach gear and plenty of driveway and off-street parking - easily 5 - 6 cars. The irrigated yard has a nice large lawn for croquet, frisbee and relaxing by the picnic table for after-beach fun. There is a ping pong table in the garage as well. There is a great outdoor shower adjacent to the garage with a garden hose for rinsing off dogs, feet and gear!

This is a great house for our multigenerational family vacation! It’s thoughtfully furnished, comfortable, and stocked with absolutely everything you might need, even a coffee bean grinder. Walk to town or the bay, bike to the state park or all the way to Rehoboth.

Group Stay in Lewes

What a great property. We've been vacationing in Lewes for the past 10 years and this is definitely one of, if not the best place we've stayed in. The description of the property is extremely accurate. Make sure you don't bring any beach stuff; this house has everything you need. The layout of the house is great, and the decor was perfect a beach house. We also rented out the bottom apartment for my mother. I couldn't have asked for more, especially since we could bring our dog. You won't find a better place if you want to bring your pet. I hope to stay here again!

Two couples, a kid and a dog had a great stay in a comfortable home. The house is at the end of a quiet street with some extra yard for the dog and very close to a sweet beach. Comfie pillows and blankets but be advised: king-size bed is a bit of a climb!

Third Time Is A Charm!

What a great place! Our third visit in three years and there will be a fourth. Nice location, peaceful and quiet. A short walk to Lewes which is loaded with shops and food. Don't hesitate to book this place, you won't be sorry.

Terrific Place

The owner and his assistant were great. Both were friendly, courteous and helpful. The house is terrific. It was well stocked and included many extras for various needs. The house is conveniently located in a super quiet location with deer and turkeys being frequent visitors. My family agreed we would love to stay there again. We all cannot say enough good things about this place. For large groups or multi-generation families, I recommend renting both upstairs and downstairs units.

Everything you need in a great location

Perfect spot for our multigenerational group of six. Quiet, 3-min walk to beach, bike to state park or to town, plus a yard and small fenced area for our dog. The house has everything you could possibly need or want - just bring clothes and toiletries!

Lovely Lewes Home at the Beach

The house is wonderful for families wanting to spend time together, with a spacious living area and great outdoor decks and private lawn for tranquility. We loved the nautical decorating and the feel of the bayside inside the home in each and every room. The kids loved the ping pong table in the garage, so that was a plus and also the bikes kept them busy! We loved our stay in this fantastic home. All in all it was a wonderful vacation in Historic Lewes.

Beautiful Home and Location

My husband and I had a wonderful time in this beautiful property with our 2 dogs. We have stayed at many rental properties and this one was hands down the best stocked property. Anything you could possibly need was available. Beautiful decor, short walk to the beach and a charming town. Could definitely see us renting again and bringing family and friends. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed evening walks on the beach followed by a soak in the hot tub. So happy that we were able to find a pet friendly property for a relaxing Memorial Weekend. Overall awesome experience!

Wonderful house

We really liked the layout of the house and the proximity to the beach. Being able to walk to downtown Lewes was a plus, too. Didn’t get to use the hot tub and the sports equipment. Maybe next time. Strongly recommend this rental property.

Perfect beach rental for us!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this beach house! It fit our needs perfectly and exceeded our expectations. The grassy yard was perfect for our dogs and the proximity to the beach (1.5 blocks) was fantastic. The house is also extremely comfortable and very well appointed. There are plenty of spaces in the home to be together or tuck away for some alone time - and all of them are nice! We like to cook and the kitchen was so well set up to cook in. There were also proper glasses for any type of drink you’d want, which was lovely. The washer and dryer were super convenient. The porches were a hit, they were just lovely to relax on and have lunch, crabs, watch the world go by, enjoy the sun, or read a book. We also enjoyed watching birds and saw plenty of osprey!

Airy, well-stocked, great location!

The house is even lovelier than the pictures - roomy, bright, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything our family needed, from kitchen items to beach gear. We enjoyed the ping pong table, bikes, and board games. The house is also dog-friendly, including a fenced area, plenty of grass to play on, and even dog bowls and treats. Our dog loved meeting lots of other dogs while strolling on the beach in the mornings and evenings. Perfect spot for a family vacation - you’ll be glad you chose this place!

Our family loved our stay at this property. The layout of the home gave everyone opportunities to be together and to have their privacy when needed. It is only a 2 minute walk to the beach and it was great for our dog. The house had everything we were looking for. Can't wait to stay here again

Absolutely Wonderful

This is a fantastic property - the photos don't do it justice! We stayed for two weeks with our 2.5y/o twins and our dog. The kitchen is stocked with everything a chef needs. We usually bring our own knives or knife sharpener to rentals, but there's no need at this spot. There is even a gas range, which is VERY rare in Lewes. The showers all had excellent water pressure and heated up quickly. The hot tub was easy to use. The house was immaculately clean and stocked with linens, towels, etc. Also rare for a beach rental! The yard was beautiful. Easy walk to town through the wooded path behind the house, too. It's a quiet street and a very quick walk to the beach, which was never crowded. There are beach chairs, toys, games, and really anything you might need at the house. The house truly expands and contracts to your needs. It feels like a real HOME, and not a typical beach rental that often lacks warmth or thoughtful touches. Family joined for part of the vacation. It was really wonderful to add the downstairs apartment to reduce the chaos of multiple families and have the opportunity for everyone to have their own space when combining families, especially with small children. We even used it as a "home office" when work interrupted vacation. We hope to stay again next year. It is the best place we've rented by far. A few things that may be helpful to know: 1. The fenced in yard is just the small side yard with the AC unit. It would be very convenient for those with dogs who need a fenced in spot, but don't expect a fenced in yard for the whole family. 2. There's a small creek behind the house, so make sure to keep an eye on small children while playing outside. 3. The owner was super accommodating and helpful, but may not be available to communicate all the time. Get the property manager, Barbara's, phone number beforehand just in case. (We had a tricky arrival without entry information, but it was solved very quickly!)

Nice size for families, with unique floor plan including separate living and family rooms allowing separated social groupings, movies, etc.
The vast outdoor space is an incredible benefit and very unusual in a location so close to the beach!

Add the downstairs unit with separate kitchen and bath and lovely screened porch for additional capacity and flexibility (downstairs sleeps 4).
