Great location and nice property. Awesome communication with owner. Property would be enhanced with some minor improvements - another mirror outside the single bathroom and better lighting in bedroom. Regardless, happy to recommend this idyllic spot.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, especially the beach access. The cottage was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. The notebook and info messaged from the very responsive host Anne, was super helpful. We loved how quiet and peaceful the location was, and thoroughly enjoyed the deer who visited.
Anne recommended Bub's Burritos in town and the Sea Princess boat tour, and both were great, definitely check them out while you're there.
One thing we had never experienced before this trip was being asked to strip the beds and start the laundry, trash yes, but not laundry. Perhaps this should be added to the policies section of the listing.
Thank you for sharing your great little cottage, we would definitely rent this one again!!
It has been very clean. The could have been a bit better equiped. Onther we enjoyed our stay very much.

Absolutely loved our stay..the mornings were shared with deer while drinking coffee. Beautiful quiet and nestled in a wooded area with walk down access to the shore...was in distance of partaking in the many sights in Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. Hostess was wonderful and made sure our basic needs were met..will definitely return and recommend
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Anne was very quick to respond to any of our queries. We used the Cranberry Cottage as a home base while we explored Acadia. The location was perfect for us, and the cottage has a book with useful information on the area. We would definitely stay here again if we get back to the area!
Excellent stay at a lovely cottage. The property was exactly what we needed for a short getaway, close to an excellent lobster place and a beach. Very quiet, and perfect for two. Would definitely stay again!
Great cabin, great location, wonderful having Charlotte's 100 feet away. Loved the property, access to water, and close proximity to Acadia. Would definitely go back...
It’s just a beautiful little property and the house itself is comfortable and clean and lovely to stay in. There are constantly deer coming through the yard to visit the apple tree, it’s a short walk to a beautiful rocky Maine beach, and one of Mount Desert Island‘s favorite lobster pounds is on the corner. Couldn’t ask for more!
Our family really enjoyed this spacious cottage with the quiet setting. It was a perfect location to relax after exploring and shoping! We loved all the information that was sent to us prior to getting there, it was so helpful!! Loved Gott's store, had everything we needed for meals and snacks. The cottage had everything we needed to make meals there. When we had a question or a need, Anne responded quickly. Hope to go back someday.
We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage! Anne, the owner, is wonderful! She sent a long list of helpful recommendations before our arrival and was easy to reach during our stay. My daughter enjoyed throwing little rocks into the water at the beach, watching the deer in the evening, and playing with the Apples to Apples cards. We loved how close the cottage is to Acadia and Bass Harbor. The cottage was clean and free of clutter. The rooms were comfortable and cool. It was exactly what my family needed.
The cabin was the perfect location for us to base my families adventures for on our last vacation. Ann's recommendations came in handy, helping us make great family memories.
Our family had a short 3 day stay and had everything we needed in the very clean cottage! The host provided fantastic local information. Our kids enjoyed the flat yard area, playing some soccer while the adults enjoyed the firepit. The location was peaceful, and our kids had a great time searching through the tide pools on the rocky beach.
The Cranberry Cottage was wonderful. My parnter and our 4 year old child loved our stay. Great location to many fun adventures around the Bar Harbor area, but also perfectly tucked away in its own little neck of the woods. The home was very welcoming and had everything we needed to enjoy our family getaway.
We enjoyed our stay….Southwest Harbor is much less crowded than the Bar Harbor area. Hiking suggestions were handy (we loved hiking around Jordan Pond…easier for us old folks and beautiful after the rain). Too bad the road was closed at the end of Seawall Road…we got to some trails by backtracking to 102. Loved Cranberry Cottage…lots of deer around the property, so you need to be careful driving! We would highly recommend a stay!
