Love the location. The cabin itself (layout) is kinda quirky. Host was very responsive and arranged for a high chair for our baby. Would definitely stay again.
It was a good stay, but we were surprised when reading check out instructions that we needed to wipe down all surfaces, wash & dry all towels, strip linens & place in front of washer before we left.size fitted shripped
This cabin was great! As advertised, clean, very level lot for my mom that uses a walker. Owner was responsive and helpful. Lake was clean and beautiful. Will book again!
Beautiful cabin and right on the water. Nice fire pit and plenty to do. We rented a pontoon boat through the owner. Close to restaurants and bars. Will definitely stay here again. One of our favorite stays up north so far!
We rented the Lake House to take our family on an end of summer vacation, we had people ranging in ages from 86 to 1 year old, this House work out perfectly and slept all of us comfortably! The properly was well maintained and the host was easy to contact and responded promptly! We would definitely stay here again!

As a family that does not fish often, we also rented the pontoon and caught a lot of fish each day. Lots of panfish (every cast on a bobber/worm), northern, crappie and a few bass. Stop at Big Mikes Outdoor Sports Shop on the south side of the lake to get setup with tackle and they will tell you where the fish are too. Don't forget to bring your own fish net and live well if you want to keep fish as the pontoon doe not have these. The property and water were easily accessible for those with mobility challenges. We recommend driving a few miles to the north to check out the historic Clam Dam which holds the water for the lake.
My family and i were very pleased with our stay. The cabin was exactly as discribed. Yard was great for yard games. Fire pit was nice and we had plenty of wood. The water was shallow for swimming but the boat fixed that! Barb was easy to communicate with and her husband came and saved us on the water when the boar motor had a small issue. Five stars from my family.
We chose this cabin for our annual cabin week and it was just perfect. The cabin comfortably slept all 7 adults but felt cozy at the same time. The property is beautiful and quiet. We were visited by LOTS of ducks and ducklings. The screen room provided a perfect space for us to play lots of games and eat meals.
Cabin was great! Just as advertised. Very quite road. Great for biking with grand kids. Beautiful flat grassy yard with easy water access. Shallow sandy beach. Owner came over when we arrived to go over the boat and lake area. Thank you
Very easy check in process. We loved the view. Me and my family went in June for a bass tournament on the lake. The dock was perfect for our boat. The house was very clean and tidy. Lots of room to park a boat trailer and a couple vehicles. Very happy with everything. Will definitely be staying there again next year!
Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your vacation home. Had a great time

Great place but really bad host
All I can say is that our family had a great time at this cabin. Then we get home and we were sent a property insurance damage claim for issues we did not cause. So, if you plan to stay here make sure you pay for the property damage insurance and do a check list of your own as soon as you arrive and let the host know asap and make sure they come and fix things right away. We won't be back!
Plenty of room for 7 adults, 5 kids & a dog.
Very clean & updated. Big yard for the kids with a beach area for them to play in. Looking forward to booking again.
The house is clean and nicely updated. Pictures provided are accurate. Somewhat secluded. The lake is great, but a quite a bit of green algae filled the water by the dock on our weekend, so we were grateful for the pontoon rental we opted for, otherwise swimming would have been impossible.
Property owner was not too quick in response when texted. And she showed up unannounced and unexpected.
All that said, we would certainly stay again!
We loved everything about this property. The kids were in the water from morning until dusk. The fishing was great right off the dock . Barb and Mike were great hosts in every way. Great memories made...
Property was as described by owner. We did enjoy our family stay. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. Interior was nice.
Our only critique about the property would be the quality of the water away from shore. There definitely are weeds in and around the dock area. The owners do have a machine that helps filter and move weeds off the shoreline so if you have a little children, beach area would be totally adequate.
An absolutely beautiful property on a gem of connected lakes. We had a wonderful time making many fun memories. Barb and Mike were fantastic! We had quite a storm and they were right there to clean up. Wonderful people!
Barbs cabin was a great place to stay for our family vacation! There were four bedrooms for the four couples and space for three small kids. The deck was a nice place to eat meals and the large swing entertained my kids for hours. There is sandy shallow water to play in which was a huge plus! Everything worked out great! Only comments were lack of garbage bags and the chairs around the fire pit could be replaced. Barb mentioned this to us ahead of time and we brought our own folding chairs which worked well! We also rented a pontoon for two days from Barb and that was a very smooth process and a nice way to spend time out on the water!
By far the worst host and house we have dealt with and stayed at in 10 years. The bedding was crusty and dirty to the touch- so much so that multiple family members slept with a fitted sheet instead of a comforter. The towels the owners provide are ripped and shredded in areas. You are required to wash and dry all of the towels yet their dryer did not work and towels would not even dry after 2 full cycles (close to 1 hour each cycle). There is black mold in the bedroom windows and by the shower in the main bathroom (due to a shallow shower base or too short of a curtain) and the toilets leaked or had extreme condensation at the base. Two of the bedrooms are very small and the main bedroom smelled extremely musty. There is an exposed cord in the yard from the weedeater to break up seaweed. And also- the neighbor came over at one point and told us to not have it on while kids are swimming so it was unplugged- and seaweed will build up. The “provided firewood” will have to be chopped yourself from large logs laid out. All of these concerns were given to the host the day or the day after we left but they went unanswered. Only the dirty bedding was addressed. On top of all that, the owner was extremely rude after our stay- upset that we used the provided bedding (1/2 of which was already dirty) and the towels still felt damp (after trying to dry them the entire morning in their broken dryer). She kept our damage deposit although there was no damage, stating that the 1990s carpeting was left dirty in one bedroom, which we did not see and do not agree with; and also filed what I believe to be a false claim for new bedding and carpet replacement. This experience has just become a bad memory and learning lesson to be weary of rental properties. If you want to enjoy your stay up north I would recommend staying else where.
My husband and I have been happily married for 25 years, both raised in MN. We have 3 children 37,26,24 years old, and 4 grand children 13,11,9,and 1 :) We moved to TX in 2005 and still enjoy our lake home as much as we can. We do plan to retire there one day, but for now we need to allow others to enjoy. We truly hope you do.
Why they chose this property
This property has provided hours of fun for our family, and hope there will be many more. We have met so many people from all over, and have truly loved this property. Our neighbors are like family. Waking up to loons and eagles, going to bed to the brightest stars, laying on the hammock reading a book, have great conversations with my kids by the campfire making what my husband calls a 'dagwood' - its a triple layered s'more. I love it and hope you will too!
What makes this property unique
We do have 4 pontoons for rent on the lake for a discounted rate with the cabin. price vary to size of party and boat
