We enjoyed the location of this condo - Not too far from grocery stores and restaurants, A lovely beach and dock right on the grounds.
The condo itself had everything that we needed. We didn’t do a lot of cooking, but the kitchen had the basics. It was very convenient to have two bathrooms. And there is coin laundry on the premises.
There is some traffic noise from the main road, but with the AC on we weren’t bothered by it.
We would stay here again!
Was initially given incorrect code to get in to condo. That was corrected the next day and there was another way to access building. The condo shows it's age but is clean. The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced, very uncomfortable. The shower is also extremely small but there is a second tub/shower combo. The beach/boating area is great, be prepared for a bit of a walk to get there. We found the condo owners, not including Paul, to be very unfriendly. Felt there was resentment of owners towards renters.

Great Location the Property is Very Dated
As mentioned in the other reviews the location of this property is great. The actual unit itself it very dated and not very clean when we arrived. There were spiders hanging from all corners of each room. We had to vacuumed them up each day and they would reappear the next day. The unit also is very sparse in terms of eating utensils, plates, cups, etc. and the coffee maker was leaking water when we tried to use it so if you are planning to make meals other than sandwiches this not a great place for cooking. Otherwise like I said, the location is great.
I stayed here with my mom who remembers the old Hillside Inn from summers in her childhood. The condo was very nice, and the views from it were beautiful! We would definitely recommend this place to others.

Location is great. Short walk to lake, easy access to White Mountains, BUT right next to a loud, noisy road with traffic at all times of the day and night.
Condo is in need of serious upgrade. While it does have everything you need for a stay (sans sheets and towels), it is very outdated, cluttered, and was superficially clean.
We did enjoy the use of the kayak and a fire at the beach.
Beautiful location with plenty of hiking, kayaking and local activities. Located on a very busy road that has very loud traffic at night /early mornings. Nice two room apartment in an historic building. Beautiful views from deck.
Our stay at the condo was terrific! The place was very clean and had all the necessary items to make it our home for the week. The lake was beautiful and the overall environment relaxing and serene. Paul is a great host. His communication is excellent and he made sure we had all that we needed throughout our stay. What a great week!
The view was breath taking. There were a few spider webs so I think the cleaners could have done a bit better of a job. The lake is soooo clean. It was a walk to the water but the host was upfront about that and it was not an issue for us. The condo we . stayed in I would be concerned if I had small children. I would definately stay here again and I didn't want to leave. You do get alot of noise from the street in the bedrooms.
Another wonderful experience. This spot is just perfect and we are definitely planning on visiting this location as often as we can. Relaxing, quiet, peaceful, and beautifully located. Communication with owner is great and reliable. Thanks again for having us!!
This was exactly what we wanted. Peaceful, beautiful, quiet location with private access to a gorgeous lake. We had a wonderful time and were very sad to go. We hope to come back. The outdoor patio was great and we watched the sunset every night. The condo was clean, cozy, and very quiet. One small downside were the spiders (but that is a personal fear for me!) Wifi was great for streaming and allowed my partner to also work from home for 2 of the days. Location was a bit of a drive from restaurants and shopping but we really wanted to be more remote and disconnected so this was perfect. Paul was very responsive. Thank you so much for having us. We hope to return soon.

The location is perfect if you love crystal clear lakes and beautiful scenery.
We have stayed at the Hillside property before and love it. The condo was perfect for us. We loved the outdoor patio and had cocktails there while watching the sunset. The bathroom showers were GREAT. The kitchen had plenty of supplies and we easily cooked our own lobster feast. We used the kayaks on a glorious day when the lake was like glass. I could have stayed a month.. Our host Paul was very responsive and cordial. I would rate this a 5 plus.

Very nice private beach
The condo itself is quite outdated and the fact that it's right on a road where the speed limit is 50 wasn't the best but otherwise we had a great stay. It had all the basics we needed for the week and we enjoyed playing in the sand and swimming in the lake with our two small kids. Others said it was a hike to the beach from the condo so I was a bit nervous and although it was a little bit of a walk, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I also liked that the two bedrooms weren't right next to each other so my toddler could sleep without being woken up by my baby. Paul was very responsive and helpful when we noticed the kayak paddles and life jackets weren't where they were supposed to be although we didn't end up using them in the end. I would recommend this place to people who want a nice quiet getaway on a beautiful lake!

the view alone is worth the price
We came off-season mainly for doing day-hikes. The condo was not fancy - as befits a vacation place. However, it was clean and cozy, with everything we needed. We spent every sunrise and sunset on the porch and even stepped out at night to look out at the stars. It was too chilly to swim but I sat by the water to read and splash my feet. Newfound is easily among the nation's cleanest lakes.
It was not noisy while we were there, but the sounds we did hear told me that it noise might be a problem in the summer when all of the other units are full. This would not be a good place for people with disabilities or families with toddlers because of the stairs and the walk to the beach. I would highly recommend it couples of all ages and families with a teenager or two.
For us, the view alone was worth the price.

Great value!
We recently stayed here for an off season weekend wedding. It's in a beautiful location on the water and a great value as the cost was comparable to what you might pay for a single hotel room. The condo is comfortable, clean and is stocked with most of the things you will need to cook/clean. Paul, the owner was pleasant and professional to work with and answered all of my questions quickly. I will certainly return at some point!

We found the furniture old and uncomfortable. The refrigerator was "sweating". The bedrooms were right on the main street and car noise was like we had the window open. The place was very clean and a great view of the lake with a deck to go out on.
