About this property

Solitude Monte Vista, Large 4+ Bedroom House with Spectacular Mountain View’s

Village at Solitude is a ski-in/ski-out mountain resort that is less than 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. Imagine yourself in a small, intimate village with the flair of European-style town that lets you ski in and ski out on the Greatest Snow on Earth. The powder is so light that you do not even know it is there!

This non-smoking house is located on the edge of the Solitude Mountain Resort village, just a two-minute walk to the chair lifts. It is a 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath stand-alone house with amazing views of the ski slopes from every room. The kitchen is well equip with high-end Viking Professional appliances. The main floor living room has a fireplace, large views of the slopes, a large balcony with private hot tub. The first floor has 2 large bedroom suites with their own bathrooms, a living area with large couch for TV viewing, a pool table and a second kitchen. The first bedroom has 2 queen beds. The second bedroom has two twin-over-full bunk beds. The first floor also has a washer/dryer. The basement is reachable by spiral staircase and contains a king bed suite with full bathroom. The top floor is a wonderful master bedroom escape suite, with a private balcony with slope views. The master even has it's own washer/dryer! There is also an office on the 3rd floor, outside the master bedroom.

Monte Vista house is located on the edge of the village with easy access to restaurants, stores, ski rentals, and clubs. After a full-day's worth of activities, you will probably want to relax in the outdoor hot tub right on the balcony. Or use one of the livelier hot tubs next door with the adjoining heated swimming pool. The house has a spacious 2 car garage.

You will also have access to Club Solitude in the Eagle Springs East building. Kids and adults will love playing on the XBox, foosball table, air hockey, pool table, or watching a movie in the media room. Or check out some books or board games to bring back to the unit.

Solitude is located just three miles from the fabulous Brighton Resort. And a short drive from Snow Bird, Alta, Park City, Deer Valley, etc. Solitude is one of just four resorts that get an average 500+ inches of snow each year, with the least skiers, allowing for great powder runs and short lift lines!

Gorgeous property in an excellent location. Large home allowed for room for everyone to spread out and be comfortable, yet come together when desired. Easy access to slopes and the village amenities. Well stocked and very clean.

Beautiful House! Excellent choice for our family gathering,
Beautiful House! Excellent choice for our family gathering, and we were very happy with it. A couple of notes: You need 4WD or AWD drive in the winter. The “Ski-Out” is not for beginners. The “Ski-In” requires an uphill hike that if icy is not pleasant – no problem for my adult kids but my wife and I did not do it. We ended up driving our young grand-kids to the Moonbeam Lodge, where parking can be a challenge during busy days.

Great Mountain Stay
Our family rents high houses several times a year to accommodate 4-12+ people to include family and friends and kids of friends. I don't often write a review but feel important to do so here. The kitchen is truly well stocked with whatever you need (really). Great gas range and grill with mountain view from the deck. Two living areas, great to allow everyone to decompress at the end of the day. Enough space AND BATHROOMS for the number of beds. The master suite is very nice with a double sided gas fireplace to the bathroom. Clearly a skier in mind with the appliances because there are 2 washers and 3 DRYERS!! Brilliant.. Humidifiers for all the bedrooms. Also numerous laundry baskets, the basics like paper towels, shampoo, soap, night lights, etc well stocked. The garage is heated AND there is leather COUCH in the garage, so you can sit and put your gear on (or off) in the garage. We did not try to ski out (though the kids would have), the walk back up to the house with your gear is possible but likely uncomfortable. We stayed a little over a week and skied Solitude and Alta. The traffic at the wrong time of day coming or going to Alta/Snowbird can be problematic so consider this! No lift lines at either resort - the week of MLK Holiday. Alta particularly was very quiet mid-week. Food in town is good and fairly priced for a resort. Watch for porcupines on the lifts in Alta!

Well-equipped, lots of sleeping space
We had 7 people in our party, 3 adults and 4 kids. There was plenty of sleeping space. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking equipment, and utensils. The mud room space at entry was a great bonus. As was the washer and dryer. There was even detergent provided. Bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available, too. There was plenty of sleeping space and extra bedding & pillows in secondary room. The mini fridge was not needed by us, but could see how it could be needed if just that room was rented. That and the shelves full of bedding, didn’t leave much storage space. A small chest of drawers could go a long way. In a room that sleeps 4, there wasn’t anywhere to unpack clothes. The master closet was also space prohibited with a large white cabinet taking up half the space. That could be relocated to the entry hall closet, in my opinion. That would give renters a place to put their suitcases and clothes, instead of living out of suitcase. The owner was very quick to reply to all questions. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay. Just wished for more clothes storage space. Such a minor issue in such a beautiful place.

Wonderful Stay!
My sister decided to have her wedding at Solitude this past weekend. We were lucky to find Greg's listing since we were spending a lot of $$$ on airfare and I booked it months in advance. Greg was everything that an owner should be. He contacted me via email and when I had a problem with the key when I arrived, he stayed on the phone until I was helped. The rooms look exactly as pictured. They were nice and clean and had all the amenities you could imagine. My cousins were staying in Eagle Springs East and that side had only one elevator working and no one would bring them anything even when they ran out of toilet paper. We didn't have that problem! My daughter loved the pool and hot tubs. We also visited Park City and enjoyed the Olympic Village, especially the bobsled and zipline. The wedding was gorgeous. Solitude does a wonderful job, and we were lucky to have Greg's place to stay in. I'd love to stay again in winter and do some skiing! The only negative I can say, is that the whole resort doesn't have air conditioning. At night, it goes down to 50 degrees, so you leave the windows open and you can feel a nice breeze. During the day, if you are eating, you need to keep the patio door open and put box fans out. Greg's place had several, but in some of the rentals in Eagle Springs East, the owners didn't leave their people any. My cousin went out and bought a fan. We were never in the condo, except at night so it wasn't a problem for us.
