About this property

THE RIVERBEND RETREAT--A White River Fishing Cabin

This four bedroom, two bath house is located on the banks of the scenic White River in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of north Arkansas between Bull Shoals Reservoir and Cotter, Arkansas, the 'Trout Fishing Capital of the USA'. Available year round for weekly or nightly rental, with a two night minimum, a person can wade fish for the abundant rainbow trout or that trophy brown that's lurking in the crystal clear waters of the river just steps from the spacious back deck. One of the premier fishing areas for wade fishermen is Wildcat Shoals, located less than 400 yards downstream, an easy walk along the river bank. To expand your fishing area upstream or down, launch a boat at the public boat ramp at Wildcat Shoals Access just three hundred yards upstream. If fishing is not what brings you to the White, there is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the deck overlooking the river or around the fire pit and watching the river flow by.
The house has two bedrooms with twin beds in each, one bedroom with a queen bed, and the master suite with both a queen bed and an alcove with two twin beds as well as an enclosed bath. The Retreat has two living areas, each with a big screen TV, and a full kitchen with two refrigerators. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, satellite TV service, and WiFi service.
The Retreat has a non smoking policy.
Rates are $225.00 per night for the first two people, $15.00 per night for each additional person.

Great location
We loved our stay! The house had most everything we needed and was in our favorite location. Tim was very easy to communicate with an very hospitable. The area is relatively quiet, beautiful landscape and wildlife. Would definitely stay here again!

Great host and great stay
Had a great experience and would recommend to anyone coming to the area to fish. Caught fish wading right out the backyard. Talked to a few locals who reaffirmed our best fishing was right at our VRBO. Clear check in and check out instructions. Would come back.

Great for a group
Five. Friends and I stayed for five nights to attend the southern rodmakers gathering. The place was clean as described. There was plenty of room for all of us and we had a great time. We might book it again for next year.

Men's Retreat
The house was perfect for accomplishing what we set out to do. Proximity to the river was ideal and the deck large deck made watching the river roll by very comfortable.

The Riverbend Retreat is our favorite place to stay on the White River. Very close to Wildcat public boat launch. Plenty of shoreline fishing. Very comfortable accommodations with 2 living rooms, 2 refrigerators, and 2 porches!

Great fishing weekend
We have stayed here several times. It fits 2 families very easily. We fish straight from the bank with our waders on, and usually do pretty well! We love this spot!

Family Fishing Trip
We picked the perfect place to spend our White River fishing trip. The house was accurately described on VRBO and we lacked for nothing. My grandsons were able to fish within view of the deck and fish were abundant. Above all the house was clean and comfortable.

Wonderful Stay
We stayed at the Riverbend Retreat with another family and the stay was wonderful. The house is on a quite drive right on the water. The neighbors are super friendly and the scene serene. Great fishing from the bank directly in front of the house and a boat ramp 5 minutes away. We are already looking at when we could come back for another stay.

Great place to escape for a few days and relax and fish!
Had a group of six men come for the weekend-everything was fantastic. Plenty of room, everything you could need! Great host that were very attentive-and even provided a fishing report. Couldn’t have asked for more and will be back. Thank you for letting us share your retreat!

Great getaway
This is a great place to vacation especially if you’re wanting to do trout fishing, which can be done behind the house in the White River. Tim Taylor is an excellent host, as he provided everything we needed. We all caught loads of trout. We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent as usual!
This is our 4th or 5th time staying at the Riverbend Retreat. We love it every time we are there. Great house with lots of room and everything you need. Great location with some of the best fishing right in the back yard. Great neighbors and great owners. I cannot say enough about our favorite getaway. You are truly going to love it.

Best Spot on the River
This place is my favorite place to stay on the White River. Plenty of bedrooms. Two separate dens with their own TV's. Good Wifi. PLENTY of shallow bank fishing. VERY close to Wildcat Shoals Public launch. Repeat customer over many years.

Great place to get away!!
Had a great weekend away - celebrating the empty nest with a couple of couples! Fishing was slow, and that was okay because we enjoyed all the room this vacation oasis has inside. Watched some Razorback Football (fishing was better this weekend), grilled out, and just spent time relaxing. Tim is a great host, and we will be back! Thank you for letting us borrow your vacation home.

Perfect Getaway weekend!
Great place to stay on the White River. We have stayed here often, and will return because of the set up here. Bedrooms to sleep plenty, great gathering areas, and the view from the back deck is perfect. And did I mention the fishing from the backyard-right on the curve below the Wildcat Shoals boat ramp? Owner is fantastic and always ready to answer any questions. We had three couples here and was just what we needed to relax and enjoy. Thank you Tim for sharing your Retreat with us!

Trout fishing at it’s finest
Tim was great to deal with and answered all questions I had. The house is fantastic and proximity to the White River - you can’t get better. Absolutely zero issues and will be back with my family next time. I have found my new vacation house! Now all of you stay away from it so it’s open when I want to go back..

Relaxing Place
We have stayed at several homes and this home did definitely not disappoint, very relaxing and beautiful view of the river from the deck. As stated you can walk right to the river to enjoy. The home is equipped with anything you need. We really enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be able to come back soon. Our dogs loved all the room to run and play. Tim was very accommodating with anything we needed.

Fabulous Find
You can't go wrong in selecting this wonderful home on the scenic White River. The river is just steps from the back deck which is a great place to relax. The house has more than ample room with a bonus garden tub in the master suite. We could not have been more pleased and did not want to leave the peace we felt there. The owners are great to work with. We are so thankful to them for making our week of vacation fun and special.

Great weekend on the river!
I stayed at the Retreat with 4 other friends for a weekend of fishing. Everyone had a great time. The location couldn't be any better. The house is easy to find and right on the river. The place is very spacious and has all the amenities that you'll need. Take advantage of the grill and big patio that overlooks the river. Great fishing right outside too. The water was a bit high when we went, but we still caught plenty of fish. Thanks to Tim and his wife for the fishing tips! They are both very friendly and do their best to make sure you have everything you need to feel at home. I'll definitely be making a trip back!

Great Property
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Tim was very responsive when I had questions. Sitting around the fire pit at night was enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience. The only negatives were the coffee maker did not work (but we found a spare coffee maker), the icemaker was not level, so the ice trays overflowed into the ice tray, making the ice stick together, and the guest room toilet float kept getting stuck, and we had to unstick it every time. These were very minor inconveniences that did not overshadow our experience there. I would recommend this property to anyone.
