San Juan Suites - Northwest Passages - Waterview! Downtown Friday Harbor! Beautifully furnished and interior updated in 2020, the Northwest Passages Suite is a luxurious getaway in the heart of Friday Harbor. This unit is on the second level of a beautiful downtown building with stair access only. Enjoy the ambiance of the propane stove or watch the ferry and boating traffic from your balcony while grilling your local catch on the outdoor BBQ.

The suite has a fully equipped kitchen beautifully detailed with granite counter tops and stainless appliances. Enjoy a meal at the breakfast bar built for two or gather around the beautiful dining table with seating for 4. This suite is equipped with a standard, drip-style coffee maker. The living space offers a DVD player, HDTV, satellite TV, and a view of the Friday Harbor Ferry Dock. This one (1) bedroom suite is furnished with a King size bed and opens to a full bath complete with a Jacuzzi tub and walk-in fully tiled shower for rest and relaxation! The entryway of the Northwest Passage Suite is equipped with an additional 3/4 bathroom (with walk-in shower) and access to the stackable washer and dryer.

The second bed in this suite is an Aerobed.

The block surrounding the San Juan Suites offers many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 1-minute walk from the San Juan Suites!

Location, cleanliness & ice cream

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The vacation rental was more than we hoped for! It was much larger than we anticipated, extremely clean, very comfortable and had a great view!! The location was simply wonderful and walking distance to everything in the city... including, but not limited to three ice cream shops with one being immediately next-door, lol. I think we ate our weight and ice cream throughout the weekend, but it was absolutely worth it! Grabbing a cuppa of cone of the Lopez island ice cream, or ice cream from Rosie‘s in the red building by the ferry dock and bringing it back up to the condos deck to watch the ferry passengers and/or the ferry arrive and depart was wonderful. The property management company was excellent with communication and instructions. We had an incredible time celebrating our anniversary!

Prime location

We had a great stay off season at this primo location just off the ferry terminal. Could hardly be closer - perfect for walkons. Bonus they have protected parking we were able to bring our car to be active about the island. Views are fantastic and they did provide coffee which was key. :) kitchen is well stocked and everything you need. Grocery is within a block walking distance. The view out the window on oneside is ferry terminal and i enjoyed watching them come and go when we were in the room. There is also a rooftop bar in view that was empty since we visited in january. I imagine that could be a turn off for some people who may visit during peak weather. Off the side you have a view of ferry queue. The unit was extremely clean and cozy, my only gripe would be the water didnt get very hot. But the soaking tub was lovely. Overall we had a great time and we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect in-town stay

The property was spacious and comfortable, with lovely harbor views from many angles. It had all the key amenities: laundry, jacuzzi, parking, and a little deck with a grill. Within five minutes walk wehad access to many restaurants, shops, groceries, coffee stands, and so on. This would definitely be our choice for another Friday Harbor stay.

Great lodging at an extremely convenient location

One could not possibly be more in the heart of downtown Friday Harbor. Great location, with nice views. Less than a short block away from the main supermarket. Over the years we have stayed in different areas of FH and this is the best. The unit was clean, spacious and with all what we needed. Communication with the host was easy and they were very accommodating. We greatly enjoyed our stay as a result!

Excellent location

Overall my experience was excellent. Loved being in a busy section of Friday Harbor with ferries coming and going. I dont understand people who complain about the noise from the street. It is common sense that ferry terminals and water front locations are busy and loud. Personally I found it exciting and fun.

Excellently appointed! Good for work and play!

My son and his partner stayed here for a few days. They had extensive need for internet meetings etc. Loved the view and the excellent comfort — also no problem with internet (which can be a big problem on the island)

Nice view, great location.

Very nice property in downtown Friday Harbor. Walking distance to businesses and restaurants in the area. We happened to visit the island during a rainy time which kept us in for some of our time there, and we were happy to relax by a window and enjoy the view of the water. A very enjoyable stay.

Location, location, location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Northwest Passages suite in Friday Harbor is a fantastic stay and what a view! We enjoyed watching the ferry come and go, the seaplanes land and general maritime view. The suite itself was very accommodating with kitchen, living room and king size bedroom. Since the suite was located in town, we didn't cook much but enjoyed the coffee maker and toaster. Loved the comfy leather couches with a seaside view. The bedroom is roomy with a king size bed and en suite bath. We LOVED having two bathrooms! The bed is too stiff for our taste and could be benefited from either a new mattress or maybe a plush topper, but again just our preference. Overall, this suite is definitely worth the money and would love to stay here again. The location cannot be beat!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fairly easy to enter and leave, once we received the information in a form we could read. Because we were several days traveling without internet, it was diffcult to retrieve the information. However we reached a live person, who talked us through, which was great. The amenities were good, especially those for bathing/sleeping. We never figured out the TV but for us that was not a loss. The kitchen was moderately supplied, but better than most - sufficient plates, cups, glasses, and silverware. We enjoyed watching the ferry crowd gather (which we eventually joined). Location was terrific. Close to everything downtown.
