About this property

The Beach Haven is perfectly located just steps from Mission beach and close walking distance to stores, restaurants and the Garnet strip. The house is a newly renovated stand-alone 2 story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, dining area, kitchen and patio. It is the perfect home-away-from-home on the ocean-side of Mission Blvd.

Our home is walking distance to Pacific Beach, shopping, restaurants, attractions, biking, surfing, Belmont Amusement Park and Mission Bay.

There is parking for 2 medium size vehicles or 1 large vehicle in the back and a private patio in the front.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including a refrigerator, gas range, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender as well as fully stocked with cookware, silverware, plates, and glasses.
Our home also has a washer/dryer, a big screen HD TV on the main floor.

The house sleeps 9 guests. 2 of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the third has a bunk bed with a full-size on the bottom and a twin on top. On the main floor there is a full size sofa bed.
Amenities: Hi-speed wireless internet, HD TV's and BBQ. Included in the rental: All utilities (water, gas/electric, trash pickup)
Located conveniently close to major San Diego freeways, a short drive will take you to various golf courses, La Jolla, Ocean Beach, Pt. Loma, Downtown (Gaslamp, Little Italy, East Village).

Depending on the season, we may not approve booking requests that leave a one night vacancy before of after the request. We also may not approve two night weekend bookings that are requested more than two weeks in advance. For these situations it is better to send an inquiry rather than a booking request.

Pets need prior approval from the owners. If approved the pet fee is $25 per pet per day.

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay! It was centrally located to restaurants and walking along the beach. We went to LaJolla and it was so easy to get around!

perfect beach stay

This was the perfect location - 1 minute walk to ocean and and a good variety of restaurants. Property manager was very responsive to any questions/inquiries. Property was comfortable and clean overall. Hope to stay here again!

Great rental with great parking

We loved our stay here! My family and I were visiting from Los Angeles and Hawaii for a few days and this rental was perfect! The parking was a huge plus since we did have a big passenger van that fit perfectly in the parking zone. we enjoyed our short walks to the beach early in the mornings before we would sight see. The Host/property manager was super easy to talk to and was able to communicate quick with the few questions we had prior to leaving. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next vacation. We really appreciated it! Mahalo & Happy New Year :)

Great location!

2 minute walk to the beach! Close to coffee shops and restaurants! Clean and thoughtfully decorated/stocked. We loved the board games, extra USB outlets and clean/fresh linens and towels. Thank you!!

Great location

This home is in a great location. It is walking distance to many restaurants and so close to the beach. The only downside we experienced was the flies around the patio but that’s not unique to this house, but more the proximity to the beach. Nice neighbors, too.

Quick Trip to see local friends over the weekend

The unit itself is 0clean, efficient, plenty of room, near the water and conveniently located. We did a lot of cooking and plenty of utensils/pots/pans available with stove/dishwasher at the ready. Would return when next visit to PB/Mission Beach is planned

Great Stay

It was in a great location, very close to the beach on one side of the house and the bay on the other. The home was big enough for the nine of us and was well-furnished. Plenty of beach toys and towels were provided, though we brought some too. I'd stay here again. I'd recommend bringing an Apple TV or other streaming device to guarantee having something to watch on the bedroom TVs.

Perfect location

We came for a family vacation. The location is perfect for everything you would like to do. The unit is a 2 min walk to either beach or bay. The home is as advertised.

Lovely decor and so much more...

Comfortable beds and furniture. Close to the beach. Surprisingly quiet since we are so close to the road (one house away). Amenities were great. Host was responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Convenient Beachside Value and Launch Point

Title says it all. Great clean and convenient value and didn't even use most of the amenities. 5 guys meeting up for a weekend reunion and the place was perfect. Walking distance to South MB in one direction and north Garnet the other.

Aussies in san Diego

Great location for two families to stay together and travel around San Diego. Pretty central for Lego land, San Diego zoo, uss midway and SeaWorld. If you have two big cars it’s a struggle to park. One big (US mid size - Aussie big) and one small (Aussie normal) you will be ok with parking. Communication was great and facilities were good too.

Birthday celebration

We stay at this house to celebrate my 40th birthday, everything was great and just as described. Literally you go right you are on the bayside go to your left you on the beach side. I loved that about the property. The weather was a little cool. Communication with owner was no problem. Thanks for the lifetime of memories ❤️

Nice Getaway

This house is good for a getaway to Mission Beach with friends or family. Living room furniture has been upgraded since the posted pictures were taken and the house has been painted different color on the outside. There are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs with another bathroom downstairs. This setup works perfectly fine with family or good friends. Everything was clean and communication with the property manager was excellent.

We had a great time. The location was so convenient. The property is well equipped for beach play. We did find the information about the availability of bicycles confusing. Bicycles were not listed in amenities but were referred to in reviews and security and care instructions. It might be helpful to specifically note they are no longer available. We would definitely book again. Responsive host and well equipped facility.

Family getaway

Stayed here with my family for a week. Property was clean, in a great area, and very close to the beach. I loved having the amenities and the extra beach chairs, toys and towels were nice to have. Directions and communications with host were clear and timely. Only minor gripe was how dirty the floors were the day we arrived. It felt like they needed a good mop and the rugs needed a good wash. However, I do understand keeping floors clean that close to the beach is difficult. Everything else in the house was very well cleaned. Would definitely recommend the property to others.

Eddie and Marv are original Californians that moved to Vancouver Canada when they were young. Both enjoyed living living in Vancouver for over 20 years, but have always wanted to return to Southern California. The Beach Haven is the perfect home away from home for them and they are happy to let others enjoy the experience.

Why they chose this property

Mission Beach was always a preferred location as they like the relaxed casual atmosphere and the surfing is wicked :) The Beach Haven was chosen for its location. Steps away from the beach, close to activities and walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
