Large cottage at countryside at the bottom of hills

Large Basque house with more than everything you need for a good stay at the foot of the high hills. 10 minutes from St Jean Pied de port. The house is furnished in the old style but nicely made up.

Location très agréable dans ce merveilleux Pays Basque.

Maison traditionnelle restaurée avec goût; beau dallage dans le séjour, meubles anciens dont un grand vaisselier, cuivres. Nombreux rangements, Espaces généreux. Deux très grands garages. Terrasse couverte. Jardin de belle taille avec vue imprenable sur les montagnes au loin. Grand calme mais non isolé. Bien agréable. Le propriétaire aussi accueillant que sa maison.

j aimerai prevenir les prochains locataires nous avons passer une semaine en ce lieu a 2 et habiter que le bas de cette maison et payer un supplement de234 euros pour le chauffage pour un pays ou on doit faire des economies d energies c est tres fort les subventions ne doivent pas ateindrent le pays basques

Séjour très agreable

Semaine très agréable en plein cœur de la nature, avec tout le confort nécessaire pour une famille avec enfants. Nous avons beaucoup apprécier les environs abec quelques escapades à Saint Jean Pied de Port, Espelette, lac de St Pée, visites de grottes, rafting à Bidaray, sans oublier de grandes promenades sur des sentiers splendides au milieu des brebis 😍. Je recommande pour les familles souhaitant se reconnecter avec la nature dans un cadre exceptionnellement beau.

Maison spacieuse, familiale. Comme je l’ai signalé au propriétaire (sympathique et à l'écoute), l’aménagement en ustensile de cuisine est rudimentaire : pas de moule à tarte par ex. Pas de linge de maison.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la maison ; la maison est bien équipée et spacieuse elle est au calme et proche des randonnées , possibilité de garer les voitures . le propriétaire est très sympa . Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir dans cette maison

Location idéale pour allier nature et culture

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette maison, en particulier sa terrasse abritée et bien exposée face aux aux montagnes avec pour compagnie les moutons. On y est comme chez soi Bien située. A mi chemin entre la côte et Pau, sur le chemin de Compostelle. Nous regrettons de ne pas avoir pu rencontrer le propriétaire qui nous a fait entièrement confiance Peut-être une prochaine fois?

interesting historic house

We passed a lovely week in this property last September while we completed our last stage on the GR65 and arrived in Ronceveaux. It was an ideal base for us and we enjoyed coming back there each evening for relaxation and barbeques. There was plenty of sleeping space for 6 adults such quiet countryside...only sounds came from cows. The kitchen was rather small for us and the mornings were difficult as we each tried to organise for the day. However the house has been well preserved in the basque tradition....perhaps the kitchen could be enlarged at another time.

Lovely, big house - well equipped and very comfortable.

We had a lovely quiet holiday in this house. It is in a lovely quiet location in the foothills. You will need to drive about 1 hour to reach the big mountains but the house is fabulous. Our three big teenagers loved it and said it was the "best holiday house we have ever stayed in."
