Experience Marsh views - Beautiful Unobstructed across the 7th Fairway to Big Bay Creek, and then miles of creeks and marshland. The Screened Porch includes both incredible Water and Golf views from the relaxing hammock swing or chairs. Our home is a short walk or golf cart ride to waterfront restaurants - Pressley's At the Marina, Dockside, Briny Swine, or Ella & Ollie's inside the resort.

The remodeled gourmet kitchen includes quartz stone countertops above beadboard cabinets. Everything needed to cook including a KitchenAid! Gorgeous mahogany flooring throughout the kitchen, living/dining and both main bedrooms.

Linens and towels included! Also, beach chairs as well are included for your use (see pictures).

We have a digital keyless lock on our front door. A 10 digit code is emailed to you with easy to use instructions on how to change the code to a 3 to 6 digit code that is special for you, such as a birthday or anniversary. This code is valid only for your specific stay and it goes into effect in the afternoon on the day of your check-in and expires the morning of your check-out.

You don't have to worry about keeping up with or losing keys every time you leave to run to the beach or pool. No stopping at a realtor's office if you are arriving late.

CHECKIN is 4:00 pm and CHECKOUT is 10:00 am. Depending on the timing of other guests and housekeeping, we may be able to adjust these but cannot guarantee it. As with most homes at Edisto, we are elevated so there are about 6 steps, then a landing, then about 6 more steps to get into our home. There is a railing but we are NOT handicap accessible.

Our home is perfect for year round use with a fireplace to knock the chill off in the winter.

Edisto Beach, a short drive south of historic Charleston, is known for it's beautiful beaches and laid back atmosphere. Whether you are swimming at the ocean, deep sea fishing, dolphin spotting, or enjoying beautiful sunsets, Edisto Beach has something for everyone. ACE BASIN, Botany Bay and Edisto Beach State Park nature areas has this area recently called 'the Yellowstone of the Carolinas'. Daytrips to Charleston (1 hour), Beaufort (1 hour), and Savannah (2 hours) make for great options.

Ocean Ridge is a perfect complement to the natural beauty of the beach. Wyndham Ocean Ridge Resort Passes (additional fees) are available ( but call Wyndham Front Desk or Wyndham Recreation to confirm availability due) to use the family oriented facilities if you tire of the beach and ocean. They consist of three pools including the enclosed and heated one, playgrounds, Miniature Golf, Fitness Center, shuffle board, ping pong tables, corn hole, tennis courts. Also the Beach Cabana on front beach (2000 Palmetto Blvd.) includes beach bathrooms. A weekly Wyndham Recreation Pass can be purchased (2023 Rates are Weekly Family rate $275/ Daily $75). Wyndham Resort Recreation Passes can be purchased at the Wyndham Front Desk or Wyndham Activities Center (843-631-0686). We are not associated or affiliated with Wyndham.

Carol and I are happy to answer any questions regarding our home or Edisto. Also our permanent neighbor Ron - (Witt's End) who lives directly across the street is something of local legend and is always happy to provide local Edisto flavor to any topic from where to get local Shrimp or how to see the best sunset!

Quiet and peaceful

Beach and Golf Vacation

Very nice villa; clean, clutter-free, pretty decor. Great location. Backed up to golf course and small creek. Beach a short distance away. Spent a lot of time lounging on screened in back porch. Highly recommend.

Relaxing

We truly enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful just what we needed. So beautiful also. We saw deer every evening. So many wonderful restaurants to choose from and we enjoyed all of them. Shopping galore. We bought beautiful pictures from a local Bailey Buckner.

A place to relax and enjoy

We loved the location of this duplex- very convenient to the Marina and several restaurants. The owners were very accommodating and quick to assist. We loved all the detailed information given on places to eat and beach access points. The screen porch was by far our favorite place to relax. Renting the golf cart is a must.

The location was Great and enjoyed the open living/dining/kitchen area that also opened to the great screened porch to always enjoy everyone around. Saw lots of deer on our walks and driving into the neighborhood. Beds were all comfy and home was clean. Loved the Edisto/Beach decor!

Favorite New Beach Retreat

We can’t wait to return to this wonderful property! The condo is full of light, views of golf course and nearby marsh are amazing, and mattresses second to none! The space lives large, kitchen roomy and well-stocked, beach nearby, and a bike friendly area made for a very special beach getaway. Owner friendly and accommodating.

Edisto Beach Vacation

We have vacationed at Edisto for many years. This Summerwind Villa is a lovely place to stay. We spent many hours on the screened porch. The furniture was very comfortable and the views…golf, wildlife, and Big Bay Creek…were fantastic! The interior had updated kitchen and floors, great TV, and super comfortable bed in the master. We plan to stay here again. I must add, the owners are very responsive and a delight to rent from.

The perfect place to stay!

I've been vacationing at Edisto Beach for 50 years, and this is honestly the best place we've ever stayed! The house is spacious, nicely furnished, clean, has everything you need, and a screened porch that overlooks the golf course and the marsh. We spent 75% of our time sitting on that screened porch, laughing, talking, watching nature and golfers, and just wishing we could stay forever. The owners are super easy to work with and helpful! Very quick to respond to any questions or concerns. They even leave bicycles and beach chairs for you to use! The neighbors and the quiet tree-lined street are the perfect place to be. We will definitely be staying here next year!

Summerwind Villa

First year at Summerwind. Lovely villa, great location. Quiet neighborhood in gated community. Great views of golf course and Big Bay Creek. Smaller villa, great for two couples. Very clean with upscale upgrades and amenities. Loved the screen porch! Looking forwear to returning next year, God willing!

Nice property on relaxed island

House was nice. Location was a bit more isolated than we thought. Amenities in the resort were farther than expected w no sidewalks. Resort amenities package pricey for what you get. If you’re looking for relaxation and not action this is the place for you.

We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the island, very quiet. The owner was very nice and allowed us to check in a little early which we really needed! The space was accommodating and had some great perks. There were a few problems we would like to mention. We hope that will help the owner to further serve others which is probably a high priority. The bathrooms both needed a good bleaching and treatment for mold. Our pastors stayed in the bigger bedroom and had the worst of it. Both him and his wife are real sensitive. Also we killed some roachbugs, a couple in the kitchen and a couple in the bathroom. Lastly the second bedroom, where we slept, the bed has a very bad slope downward maybe due to the frame only and the set up. It did hinder our sleep a little. Like we said the space had some very positive things about it, we enjoy all the views in the living room with those big windows and we enjoyed swinging on the porch. Edisto Beach is quite a FIND.

Rest and Relax

We had everything we needed for a great vacation. Loved that sheets and towels were included! The location on the golf course was fun. We didn't see any alligators but lots of deer and beautiful birds. Would definitely stay again.

Great condo with lovely view!

Well-stocked, spacious condo with a wonderful view. Nicely appointed condo that had plenty of room for our family of 5. We had a fun time playing games around the kitchen table but enough for us to each have our own space. The kitchen was well-stocked, both a keurig & regular coffee maker, plenty of silverware/dishes/glasses; we had an easy time making our own meals. The owners made it so easy - they had beach bikes, beach chairs, filtered waters so my kids couldn't complain about beach water, iphone charging station, etc.. We especially enjoyed the great view from the back porch. A great place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The owners were very responsive and check in/out was effortless, We look forward to coming back to Edisto soon and will absolutely stay here again! Thank you!

Comfortable and Cozy

The accommodations are well thought out, spacious, and well maintained. All of our needs were met. I especially appreciated the comfortable mattresses on the beds! We loved the screened in porch; spacious and serene view! The owners were very quick in responding back to all of our questions. We were very happy we could bring our dogs too.

Weekend at Summerwind

Great stay!

We had a great time! Short bike ride to the beach. Nice to have bikes and beach chairs provided. Just know the upstairs is a loft open to the downstairs, so your teenager staying there can't sleep late once others are awake downstairs.

Sandy and Carol and their two girls live 50 minutes away in Charleston/James Island. Sandy is a native of Walterboro, SC while Carol is originally from Statesboro, Ga.

Why they chose this property

My family has held property at Edisto all my life. My grandfather purchased oceanfront for $50 in the 1940s mostly by accident. Our family's cottages still sit on the same lot in the 400 block of Palmetto Blvd. Having grown up at Edisto during the Summers, I have covered the entire Beach on bike or foot. I was thrilled to bring my wife and children and they love it as their home away from home!
